- Ryan B00Great taste of traditional foodThe tour was excellent and our guide did a great job. We stopped at 6 or 7 spots, had plenty of food and it was a fun atmosphere to meet other travelers.
- Alton7700A fantastic way to see the most historic part of BogotaAbsolutely loved this tour. My tour guide was Diego and he was knowledgeable, interesting, and did an excellent job showing the many historic spots in the Candelaria area. The exotic fruit and coffee tasting was the cherry on top. Don't miss this on your Bogota trip!
- Richard C00Fun, educational, good food & photo opsThe guide was very knowledgeable on plant life and history and local culture. There were some good photo opportunities at the lagoon and the Hermitage, including good views of the city from the mountain. The walking part was gentle, I think a little under four miles total, with shallow inclines. Some rock hopping was needed to get over puddles. Breakfast and lunch were at the same place and were both tasty. There were vegetarian options available. There was also some chocolate sampling and the option to buy, though they weren't pushy about selling. Overall, a fun and educational day out.
- mineof75100Highly recommend taking this tour when visiting Bogotá.I highly recommend taking this tour when visiting Bogotá. I participated in this tour alone, but I had a very good experience throughout the tour. Our tour conductor, Andrea, was amazing! she provided us great support from the beginning to the end of the tour. The scenery on the way to the farm is also spectacular and a must-see. Taking this tour gave me a deep understanding of Colombia, coffee, and the coffee industry. Also, both breakfast and lunch are very satisfying. The way you think about coffee will definitely change before and after participating!
- BiroA500A great day at the coffee farmThis was a true experience. Nick is an excellent guide as are the staff at the farm. When you go please open your mind to the things these guys &girls show and teach you.
- MattAliberti00Great handcrafts and warm welcomeWe had such a wonderful time in this experience. Andrea was a warm host, she greeted us at the meeting point and shared some local history as we walked through La Candelaria to the site. Rosa was a delightful artisan to spend time with. She joked as she taught us how to weave backpacks and Andrea translated and gave us context. We watched people stroll by, sipped indigenous tea, and made adorable backpacks. We came away feeling much more knowledgeable of Bogota and artisans. Highly recommend.
- KellyKnutsen12300Fantastic. Learned so much. I highly recommend this tour.We loved this coffee tour. Our guide spoke English very well and was able to answer all our question about Colombia on our beautiful drive to the coffee plantation. We learned so much about the coffee world. We even had breakfast and lunch right on the property, over looking the plantation. Then of course, the coffee tasting was fun and so delicious. The family of women that run this coffee plantation are amazing.
- K B00A very memorable walkWe had a lovely time walking through the cultural streets of Bogota. Melena was very nice and friendly. It was a great walking tour which we enjoyed and recommend to otjerst.
- 43jeffreyt00Authentic Colombian food and experienceLorenzo was our guide and was on point with everything. I don't think there was a fact about the city or person in the city he didn't know. The tour was amazing with 7 large servings of food, street graffiti history, and the neighborhood itself. I would suggest a very light breakfast and forget dinner as you are going to be mesmerized by some of the best food in city including a full stomach.
- 104emilyb00Perfect walking tour!Marcela was our guide and she was great! She was very informative and fun. A good pace and a nice variety of things to see and do. It was very interactive, we tried Colombian fruits, alcohol, coca tea, hot chocolate and played tejo!
- craigbU7513AL00Just book itAwesome experience, our guide was wonderful, hike was easy but fun and food was good. Would absolutely do it again. Thanks.
- dicksonl19100Amazing experienceMelina Ramírez was an amazing tour guide! She makes sure to get to know you and you can tell she’s really proud of her city and country.
- courtneylund00Fun day!Marcella did a great job! We enjoyed the whole tour. Would definitely recommend! But it takes a full day!
- 729dorisr00A True Colombian Experience In Deed!!!I went to Colombia with my siblings. We spent 3 days in Bogota and 3 days in Medellin as we planned. On our first night in Bogota, we went to a nice restaurant near our hotel, and we had a great dinner. One of my sisters who is 5 months pregnant ate something that night that upset her stomach really bad to the point that we had to take her to the emergency room and had to cancel the city tour we had scheduled that morning. I contacted Fredy, the person from The True Colombian Experience I had booked the tour with. He was so kind, he was on the lookout for us making sure we got all the assistance we needed. He changed the tour for the next day for us, not only that but he added transportation to pick us up from the hotel and also transfer us from one place to another during the tour, so my sister did not have to walk too much since she was sick the day before. We had a great time that day, we felt as if we were home taking a stroll among friends. Yaqueline, the guide, was excellent. She was so knowledgeable and patient with us. James the driver, was also very friendly and talkative like us. We learned a lot of things about the city from him as he was driving us back to the hotel. I want to say thank you again, to Fredy and his team for all their kindness and hospitality. We really had a True Colombian Experience. We highly recommend this tour.
- bettinof202300Beautiful trip to get to know the Páramo Cruz VerdeAmazing hiking tour in a Páramo close to Bogotá. Really beautiful flora and great views of the Laguna de Teusacá. The path was a beautiful historic stone paved historic way and good to walk even in wet weather. Lorena was a great and really nice tour guide, with a very in-depth knowledge about the biology, geography, history and especially anthropology of the area and its past and current inhabitants. She gave us a great insight to the live in this part of Colombia. I highly recommend this tour when you want to escape the busy loud city and enjoy some peace and quiet in nature.

We had a great time walking around the city with our guide, Al, and trying several different delicious Colombian foods and drinks. This was a great way to find some of the local places that we never would have found on our own, and Al shared a wealth of information with us as we walked. We ate so much on this tour that we didn't need anything else for the rest of the day.

A great way to try the local food! We even got to make our own Arepas which just automatically made the whole experience more immersive! Our guide Paula was wonderful. She would explain the history of Santa Marta and the process of how certain foods were made as we went along. Definitely recommend this if you want to try local food and meet new people.

This was a fantastic tour! We were warned to come hungry but we didn’t believe them so we had breakfast at our hotel. We recommend you arrive hungry! Al was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable about the city and the places we visited were excellent. The walk between stops was leisurely and on flat ground. We highly recommend this tour. I’m not sure how they make money on the tour - it seems we eat all the profits!

Fantastic value for fantastic tour. You get to try a little of everything: street food, fruit and juices, coffee and deserts, and lunch. All of it is wonderful. Alvaro, the guide, couldn’t be nicer or more knowledgeable. Great way to see the old town, highly recommended!

Awesome tour with a very good guide. We visited places, we would never have visited without the tour. It’s amazing how much you can learn about culture, when you are attending a good tour. I highly recommend it. Please come hungry. :)

The guide was clearly not passionate about the food. i had hoped to be able to talk about the ingredients and cooking a bit. The food was too greasy and heavy to eat on a scorching hot day. Just not that great overall

Hola! We were wondering if you have two spots available for tomorrow (20 sept) on the tour. I do not know if you host one, but Tripadvisor did not show availability. Thanks!

Hi, I will be arriving on a cruise ship on a Monday in December. Is this tour available? And how do I get from the port to the meeting place? Thank you.
