- U7921WYjorgeb0 contributionsExploring stress free in Siem ReapIf you want to get a thorough experience of the various temples and experiences in Siem Reap then Angkor Doors is the best option. I was worried I would have to plan 3 days of excursions and exploring with my family (we were 6 in total). The 3-day Tour by Angkor Doors was great for a private group. Pheng was an incredible guide with answers to all our questions and a lot of knowledge. He was also very patient given that we had some older people in my family who walked at a slower pace. Pheng was very good at assessing how our day/itinerary should be based on the group and what we wanted to see. I had the airport transfer to and from my hotel, and the three-day Siem Reap tour. We always had water in the AC van and were able to stop whenever we needed to use the restroom or get snacks. As someone who has done hundreds of tours around the world I highly recommend Angkor Doors. They will make your trip to Cambodia stress free and you will get a comprehensive experience.Written 9 January 2025
- JayaramKasi0 contributionsBrilliant tour of Angkor Wat and other placesKosal was a very knowledgeable guide. We were travelling with an infant, so we were a little apprehensive, but the team was very accommodating of our requests, and made it a very memorable tour. Gave us an insight into history of both Khmer empire and modern Cambodia. Highly recommend themWritten 27 December 2024
- 898darylv0 contributionsBest experience of my life! Highly Recommend this company!A trip to Cambodia has been a dream of mine since I was 13 years old and when I started to research what I wanted to see, it honestly became a bit overwhelming. A friend recommended Angkor Doors to me as there were temples I wished to visit which were not commonly visited. Bunpheng was amazing!!! He arranged for someone to pick me up from the airport, planned my entire itinerary and my drop off at the airport at the end of my 5 day trip. I reached out to several tour companies but Angkor Doors was the only company that responded actually asking me what I wanted to do and what I wanted to see, which meant a lot to me considering this trip was over 40 years in the making. It was an absolutely incredible experience, Bunpheng was extremely knowledgeable, and mixed the history with the mythology (at my request) of the area which was phenomenal. I asked so many questions and each one was answered in great detail. This was undoubtedly one of the best decisions of my life, Bunpheng knew the best times to visit all the temples when the light was perfect for the best photos and highlighted some great photo opportunities I would have completely overlooked if it were not for his guidance. Do yourself a favor, if Cambodia is also your dream trip, don't book with a large bargain tour company.Written 11 December 2024
- Pioneer662533072010 contributionsA wonderful memoryIt was an exceptional experience & well organised by AngkorDoors beyond our expectations. We, a group of friends & families, had such a wonderful 3 days of tour, immersing ourselves with awe into a glorious past. Though the walking & climbing was a bit tiring to all of us, AngkorDoors made it enjoyable throughout. The vehicles were clean, well maintained and always on time till they dropped us back to airport. Very well organised indeed. Our guide, Bunpheng of AngkorDoors, was the best with his knowledge of history & narration and made the tour much more joyful with his witty comments & hearty laughs. We call will carry those wonderful memories forever for sure. We strongly recommend AngkorDoors for your trip to Angkor Wat.Written 2 December 2024
- P6162UVannen0 contributionsExcellent tour of less famous Angkor TemplesThis tour was wonderful! We decided on this tour because we had visited the main temples on a different trip and wanted to see other temples. I loved the variety! The small red temple of Banteay Srei, the elephants at East Mebon and the pools surrounding Neak Pean. Our tour guide Bunpheng was excellent! He shared interesting information and was so kind and gracious the entire day. I would highly recommend this tour.Written 1 December 2024
- mckblack0 contributionsWould do this tour again in a heartbeat!Best tour we could have asked for! Bunpheng was kind, knowledgable and we had so much fun. Angkor Wat is such ab incredible experience, but Bunpheng deepened our appreciation, knowledge and understanding both of the temples and the history of the region.Written 13 November 2024
- B4449GYsimonw0 contributionsMost memorable trip to AngkorThis is an amazing tour. Chopin Sophat was our tour guide and Dinna was our driver. They are the best of our 6 day travel in Cambodia. Sophat is very knowledgeable on nearly all the subjects we were interested, including the history, the culture, the modern day life’s, the nature and all kinds of things in Cambodia, and not just limited to where we went. Khai Spean is very unique, which you cannot find in other parts of Siem Reap. Bandeay Srei is one of the most significant temples. Banteay Samre is another beautiful temple to see. They both have taken really good care of us. The cold water and lemongrass fragranced cold towel after each site and hiking was very refreshing. They drove with safety and cautions. We were comfortable all the way. We highly recommend this tour.Written 27 October 2024
- B6136EOlilyd0 contributionsGreat experience--thank you Kosal!Very glad we booked this tour! We had a great guide in Kosal, who went above and beyond in explaining different things about Cambodia! We tried lotus seeds from a stand and toured a market (sticky rice included!) on the way to the floating villages. The villages were INCREDIBLE--a lovely boat ride to tour the lake, and a stop off to learn more (and see crocodiles, catfish, and snakes!). Afterwards was the war museum and killing fields--obviously a different tone to the second half of the tour, but incredibly valuable. Kosal was kind and informative, and we definitely left feeling we knew more about Cambodia. A great experience, with a wonderful guide!Written 22 October 2024
- SL9510260 contributionsHighly recommend! We had an amazing time on this tour Bunpheng was a great guide, and we learned so much about the history of Cambodia. It was great to do a tour which was different from temples, the floating village was beautiful with very friendly locals and we went on a local boat. - Marc C0 contributionsCouldn’t have done it better. There are so many choices when it comes to doing a private tour of Angkor. I made the decision to go with Angkor Doors on pure spec and was very glad I did. Our guide Bunpheng Chan was professional, cheerful, knowledgeable and insightful on the both modern and historical Khmer history and events. We took a half day air conditioned car (4 hour) tour and visited the Wat and Angkor Thom/The Bayon. We were given a choice of the Bayon or Ta Phrom ) Tomb Raider. Provided with cold scented towels, and water frequently.Written 29 May 2024
- tasha3130 contributionsDefinitely worthwhileWhile the museum is simplistic and you can walk around on your own, I definitely enjoyed it. My highlight was having the honor of talking to a veteran who was there. If you see him and he asks for a donation, do yourself a favor and provide it and listen to his story. An incredible man and survivor that will always stay with me.Written 23 April 2024

I booked a 3 day trip with Angkor Doors and the wonderful Bunpheng Chan for a family of four (kids 10/12): Day 1: Angkor Wat sunrise and Ta Phrom: Day 2: Kulen Elephant Forest and Tonle Sap floating village; Day 3: Angkor Thom (Bayon/elephant terrace) and Preah Khan. I genuinely believe it’s impossible to find a better guide than. Bunpheng Chan. From the second I sent an enquiry email to the moment we finished our tour he was simply amazing. Efficient, prompt, friendly, genuine, good fun, extremely knowledgeable. Most of all how he interacted with the children, kept them engaged throughout temple tours, made everything fun for them with his stories, quizzes, massages, door counting… he really was the best we could have ever imagined. If I could recommend one thing about a trip to Siem Reap it would be to pick Bunpheng Chan as your tour guide!

The itinerary was fantastic covering the highlights in a day including sunrise at Angkor Wat and sunset at the South Entrance of Angkor Thom. In between we had a necessary rest back in our hotel room. We were surprised that this was a private tour for just the two of us, not a group as we had expected. The highlight for us was our guide, Pal Chen, who is extremely knowledgeable. My wife has mobility problems and he was so kind and considerate making sure that she could see as much as possible by helping her climb up the stones and even carried her rollator when necessary. Without him she wouldn't have had as wonderful a time as she did. The driver was also very helpful and he, too, contributed to the overall great day we had. I would suggest going back to view Angkor Wat in the late afternoon and view the western entrance with the sun behind you. When on the bridge for the sunset at Angkor Thom you can take quite interesting photos with one or more statues silhouetted in the foreground. In addition to this tour we took one to several lesser-known temples which, too, were fascinating.

If you want to dive deeper than surface level while having a smooth yet intensive day around the Angkor complex then Bunpheng is your guy. From the awe-inspiring grandeur of Angkor Wat itself to the intricate carvings and hidden chambers of Bayon Temple, and much more, every moment was mesmerizing. Bunpheng knows his ways around the reins just as he knows his ways around culture and history, sharing historical and architectural insights and legends, as well as personal stories that brought each temple to life and made the past imaginable. The sunrise over Angkor Wat was magical and surprisingly chilly in January and the mid day break is totally worth it. No matter how tough and young you are a mid day rest makes you better comprehend the details of the second tour. Ofc there are more affordable tours but you’re looking for a truly immersive and enriching private tour, with a focus on understanding the cultural and religious aspects of the temples. We can only highly recommend this tour and Bunpheng as a guide!

I e-mailed Angkor Doors after reading many positive reviews online, and they were always prompt and detailed in their responses. My group of 10 booked several tours with them for our 5-day stay in Siem Reap, and we thoroughly enjoyed every tour.
Angkor Doors has a unique itinerary which allowed us to see sunrise and sunset at Angkor Archaeological Park within the same day at a comfortable pace. There was even time for siesta, so we didn't feel too tired.
We also visited Kampong Phluk with Angkor Doors and got to see the sunset from our boat on Tonle Sap. The trip was magical,
It was rainy season when we were there, and Angkor Doors took us to see the waterfalls at Phnom Kulen. Rainfall had caused the waterfalls to swell greatly in size, and they were most impressive. Another unforgettable experience at Phnom Kulen was visiting Poeng Ta Kho. Standing on the cliff and looking out at the breathtaking view was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation.
Angkor Doors also brought our group on a street food tour of Street 60, a street which is transformed into a night market at sundown. It's a locals' haunt, and very few tourists head there. We had an authentic street food experience with Angkor Doors, and tried food which we would otherwise not have the courage to do so had we been on our own. We were really pleasantly surprised by the experience!
My full review of the various tours we went on with Angkor Doors can be found in my blog at MaxiMiserMom.
I'd like to thank Chan Bunpheng of Angkor Doors for giving us the best experience we could possibly have in Siem Reap. Go with Angkor Doors, you'll be in the best hands!

This wqs wonderful tour that exceeded all ourr expectations. Our very experienced tour guide Sophal gave us a veylry historic tour guide and took us to the bwst spot to watch the sunrise and sunset away from the crowd. He had a solid cross cultural, spiritual and historical knowledge, and pointedly let us through all the carvings, it's history and the stories around all of them including those from the Ramayana. The team was also considerate of rest periods and served us cold water and towels from time to time. Do ask for Sophal who certainly will be our guide if/when we come again.

This was a once in a lifetime experience. The guide, a Mr. B. Chang of Angkor Doors, was beyond wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and non-intrusive. Transportation was in an air conditioned Toyota Highlander, and cold water was frequently provided. The tour involves a lot of walking, as it covers multiple temples including Angkor Wat, Ta Prong, Angkor Thom (a huge complex almost 4 square miles) and others. Despite this, it was not exhausting, as there is a 4+ hour break between 10:45 and 3PM when you are returned to your hotel and picked up again. We took fabulous pictures, we learned a lot about Khmer Empire and the Hindu and Buddhist religions that dominated the area and sometimes came to a conflict. It was magical. Exceeded every expectation.

We had a really excellent sunrise & sunset tour with Bunpheng. He was ready and waiting for us on time with a great driver in a very comfortable car.
For sunrise, Bunpheng took us to a good spot away from the crowds, which was lovely.
Bunpheng is very experienced and knowledgable, and was engaging and informative in explaining things and answering our questions. He was also an excellent photographer and took lots of great photos for us!
He tailored the plan based on our preferences and weather on the day, and made sure we made the most of our time there.
I did lots of research before picking this tour, and I'm very happy I went with Angkor Doors. The setup of having a break in the middle of the day works really well and lets you make the most of seeing the sunrise, exploring temples and seeing the sunset in 1 day, while also getting out of the heat and enjoying your hotel.

This was an absolutely amazing tour! It covered everything you could want - and certainly all the highlights - in one day. We began before sunrise to get a good spot to watch the beautiful sunrise over Angkor Wat, before exploring inside and then two more temples. We then took a break and resumed in the afternoon. My guide had good English a wealth of knowledge about the sites and their history. He also knew the best routes and shortcuts to avoid the worst of the crowds. I highly recommend this tour.
