Overview
Visit Phnom Kulen Mountain on a full-day trip from Siem Riep that explores ancient Khmer sites surrounded by jungle. You’ll see a boulder carved into a reclining Buddha image, take in the River of a Thousand Lingas, and swim beneath Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, experiencing a landscape that many Cambodians consider sacred. All travel is by climate-controlled vehicle for a comfortable day of sightseeing, with door-to-door transport from Siem Riep hotels.
What to Expect
Meet a driver at your hotel in Siem Riep for the scenic, 2-hour trip to Phnom Kulen Mountain, passing a landscape of tropical forest and rural communities along the way.

The first stop of the day is a hilltop temple, where you’ll find a massive reclining Buddha carved directly into a sandstone boulder. Next, head to the River of a Thousand Lingas, exploring a riverbank adorned with ancient carvings of phalluses and Hindu gods.

Cool off at another sacred site, Phnom Kulen Waterfalls, which tumble into a wide basin that’s ideal for a mid-day swim or wade. Throughout the day, the guide will help bring the ancient sites to life by explaining their significance and symbolism, and you’ll have time to purchase lunch at a local restaurant before the return trip to Siem Riep.
