Overview
Simple but flavorsome, Cambodian cuisine makes use of fresh fish from the Mekong and an abundance of Asian spices. Immerse yourself in Siem Reap’s culinary heritage as you enjoy a cooking class with a local chef in a typical Cambodian village, and enjoy a delicious 3-course lunch of traditional Khmer cuisine. Hotel pickup and drop-off make for a seamless experience, and a small group size means plenty of personal attention.
What to Expect
After pickup from your Siem Reap hotel, travel by tuk-tuk to the venue for your cooking class—a traditional rural village just outside of the city. Meet your host, a local chef, and set out to explore the village, stopping at a family home to gain insight into local life, customs, and cooking traditions.

Your cooking class takes place in a nearby pavilion, where you’ll have your own cooking station and equipment. Under the guidance of your expert instructor, learn to prepare fresh fruits and vegetables, master the art of cooking the perfect rice, and discover popular local ingredients such as coconut leaves, sugar cane, and exotic spices.

Finally, sit down to enjoy your home-cooked lunch, with three delicious courses accompanied by an cold beer or soft drink. At the end of your meal, your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel.

Delicious food

The steps are not too complicated... one can easily try at home using the provided recipes! It would be even nicer if guests can do all the cooking steps. I believe some steps have been simplified or done for the guests to save time.

This class took place in a beautiful, modern covered pavilion. We first walked to a nearby farm. Along the way, our guide pointed out some of the plants and crops that were growing beside the street and talked a bit about village life and culture....More

They did ask us at booking if we had any food allergies so I would assume they do make accommodations for special requests. The cost was $24 each which included tuktuk transportation to and from our hotel and a cookbook to... More
