Overview
Cruise between Mandalay and Bagan on a beautiful river trip that trades overland travel for a peaceful day on the Ayeyarwady River. Sun decks and climate-controlled cabins ensure a comfortable day in any weather, as you pause to visit a riverside village, try on traditional costumes, and catch an Ayeyarwady River sunset. For an all-inclusive experience, add a fresh breakfast and Burmese-style lunch when booking.
What to Expect
Make your way to the Mandalay jetty for an early morning departure, and settle into the climate-controlled, teak wood cabin. If you’ve opted for the cruise with meals, you’ll start with breakfast served alongside fruit juice, coffee, and tea on the sunny upper deck.

The first stop is at Lekkapin, a traditional waterside village, where you’ll see traditional handicrafts, visit local houses, and meet members of the small community. Lunch will be served on the upper deck, and in the afternoon, the crew will demonstrate typical Burmese dress and makeup—you’re welcome to participate.

Watch sunset colors illuminate the river as you approach Bagan, sipping a cocktail on the final stretch. This Ayeyarwady cruise concludes at the Bagan jetty.

FUN! - the "show/demonstration of the various ways to tie and use the longyi was the best I've ever seen! Because there was smaller number of passengers, it was like a private cruise. Staff and the head man are well-trained and competent. Seating in the...More
