About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- GabrielaM1760 contributionsIt could be much betterWe were looking for a traditional dinner with music and dance. The pick-up from the hotel and back were very well organised. We found a reserved table near the dancing floor. The traditional menu was not a 3 course menu as it was written in the presentation. There was no appetizer and no desert, just one main course to choose between chicken, pork or fish. They offered us 1 soft drink or a beer (only Panama beer). Sparkling water was not included!. When I told them there are 2 drinks included I had to prove with my voucher. So we got 2. The show was performed by 2 persons (one pair) and there were only 3 (three) dances and another one together with some ladies from the audience who were traditionally dressed by the organisers.Written 15 February 2025
- dottyo7610 contributionsworthwhile historical tripIt is a well worthwhile historical trip to visit the canal. The guide in the shuttle to the canal provided us with lots of good information. The guide on-board talked non-stop and the volume was too high. I'm glad I was there.Written 9 February 2025
- markmR4338NF0 contributionsGreat experience but gets boring after awhileThere's a big difference between saying 'Very Good' and 'Average', the only options available here from 3 stars to 4. It's an experience that must be had, but sadly it can become very boring after the first lot of locks (Miraflores), especially when we were told we'd be disembarking around 11am but ended up being 3pm! So glad I didn't go for full transit!Written 5 January 2025
- lex_loci_david0 contributionsNiceThis is a great park to visit to get away from the hustle of the city. You can visit on the way to or from the Miraflores lock. It cost me $6 USD to get there from Casco. There are two loops through the jungle. Both have views but the bigger loop has the more impressive views of the city. I saw a sloth hanging around and a deer(?). It costs $4 USD which seemed reasonable.Written 27 December 2024
- Quinn A0 contributionsUnprofessionalThe ship blasted very loud and obnoxious music for much of the voyage. Those loud sounds give me a headache. When the old tour guide occasionally spoke, it was about jokes, or he would just start singing 70's music for no reason. Very little historical information. "Uncle Marty" is a nice man but a horrible guide. He is a lounge entertainer. The organization was poor. No one told me when luch was served. By the time I got there, a lot of the food was gone. There are no tables for your lunch. Seems like for $150. I should be treated better. The Canal and locks were amazing, but the staff, much less so.Written 13 October 2024
- 329alfredop0 contributionsNice But TrickyGood Views but not easy to know about schedule when you go to buy the tickets. Tickets are expensive for tourists. No good information outside the buildingWritten 3 April 2024
- 755ralucam0 contributionsIn the middle of the action at Panama CanalThe tour operator expertly handled the pick-up process, ensuring a seamless start to the cruise. Although the hotel pick-up was very early at 5.15 am, it was a necessary inconvenience due to constraints for accessing the Canal from the Pacific side. Throughout the tour, a wealth of technical information about the Canal was provided, offering a deeper understanding of its operations. One of the highlights was being positioned behind a large container ship. From the upper deck, I had a prime view of the process of crossing through the three steps of Miraflores and Pedro Miguel Locks. In addition to the technical insights, the tour also delved into the history and construction process of the Canal. Lunch was served on the lower deck and it was very well organized to avoid overcrowding. The use of wrist bands with different colours indeed streamlined the process. Complimentary sodas were readily available throughout the cruise,Written 12 February 2024
- Michael M0 contributionsLong day but a must visitTransiting the Panama Canal should be a bucket list adventure for all. A phenomenal engineering feat and continuing boon to the world economy….now for the review: 1: Expect a long day. Waited for cruise ship ahead and tanker behind. About an extra 2 hours. 2. Pickup by van was prompt. Guide was obnoxious and actually mean to several guests. Arrived at dock and had to wait in the van for over 30 minutes. Only allowed to exit and stay on same of road…”children” not allowed to cross the narrow two lane untravelled road… 3. Arrived first, but had to let the “big” bus passengers board the boat ahead of our group…and take the best seats. 4. Older boat that is marginally clean tables and seating, with windows that really needed cleaning. 5 Toilets were rough but useable. 6. Boat guide had nonstop narration that was good, although much too loud. 7. Food for lunch was actually very good. 8. Serving staff was very pleasant and free water and soda was great. Beer and snack price was reasonable. 9. Van drop-off was again problematic…and just plain rude. Practically ruined the entire day. Overall…probably priced about right, but I would opt for the full transit tour…and bring cards or a book…Written 27 December 2023
- Adam F0 contributionsAerial team and sloth sanctuary: waste of a dayThe speed boat ride on the lake was strange. The guide had very little to say. They pull up next to islands in the lake to look for monkeys in the trees. We saw like one monkey. Not anyone’s fault, but a really weird tour of not much anything. The aerial tram takes you up a 10 min ride through the forest canopy. No animals or birds to see or speak of. At the top, a 20 minute easy climb up an observation tower for some interesting but obstructed views. A below average tour that kind of tanks afterward. The “sloth sanctuary” are two small pens each with a sleeping sloth. The frog area is a concrete pen, not well lit with tiny finger-nail sized frogs, difficult to see and guide was super average in explaining anything. The orchid area had three orchids and a sign explaining that the iguanas eat the orchids. This was an entire day in a wonderful city, kind of wasted.Written 24 December 2023
- Terri L0 contributionsExperience of a lifetime!!This was an experience of a lifetime. Pickup was on time we were kept informed every step of the way. My Mother and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour also very educational.Written 28 November 2023
- CDiamond1230 contributionsGreat Day on the CanalWe had a great visit to the canal. You need to know what you are signing up for and then you will not be surprised! We were informed that our pick up would be between 4:45 am and 5 am and, lo and behold, it came on time! we had a short ride to Flamenco Pier and departed at around 6 am. We crossed two different sets of locks (3 locks in total). That was breakfast and lunch. everyone needs to be ready for a little unpredictability – we were transiting the canal with a large oil tanker, which was a little slower than some of the smaller vessels. The net result was that we reached Gamboa around 11:30, which was 40 minutes later than expected. Note that the road back from Gamboa to the highway is currently being resurfaced so it takes a little longer than the 45 minutes you see in Google Maps. All in all this was a very well organized tour. Just be prepared for an early start and 7 - 8 hours of total tour time.Written 25 November 2023
- Andrea F0 contributionsCanal TransitThe transit and learning about the canal was amazing. The part that could be improved was our pickup. Scheduling was great, however our driver didn’t speak much English so one of the guests translated for us. We also arrived at the boat first but were the last people to board due to not having our wristbands. The boat was large so people moved around so we did get to sit or stand in different places throughout. Lunch was very nice. Overall experience was well worth it.Written 20 November 2023
- B8397RZjamesb0 contributionsShuttle did not pick us upWe booked this tour on Friday for Saturday, received confirmation, and were never picked up at our hotel. When we called to see what was happening the tour operator told us we booked after they did the shuttle schedule. I informed her that we had received confirmation and she just kept making excuses. Supposedly, we are rebooked for tomorrow (Sunday), but we'll see if it actually happens. Not impressed.Written 11 November 2023
- VivQuetzal0 contributionsA must-doYou'll get to pass a couple of locks and get to experience the canal first hand! Inside of boat was air-conditioned so if it gets too hot, you can go inside. I was luck enough to see a crocodile and (?) iguanas.Written 16 October 2023
- Roving614698626040 contributionsMust do in Panama CityIt was so interesting, felt like a kid in a toy store. The views were great, specially following the big bulk carrier going through the locks with us - 106 foot wide in a 110 foot lock! Highly recommend it.Written 7 October 2023

Enjoyed the experience and the Embera people are very welcoming. However, the tour description did not include that the trek to the waterfall is strenuous, involves rock climbing and the need for sturdy water shoes. Several people in our group fell in the water, slipped on the rocks, and ruined their shoes.

Our guide Enrique was very knowledgeable and funny. He had lots of stories to tell us. Our Emberá guide Eliese was so kind and helpful. We were welcomed by the people, young and old, learned about their history and ways of living. It was a beautiful day experiencing beautiful culture with beautiful people and the national park is worth the visit.
