- Z1355NVcherylm0 contributions110% fun!! Book it and see!!My husband and I did this absolutely fantastic catamaran journey yesterday. The crew were so fun and nice. Answered lots of questions that we had about the island we were on. I would 110% recommend this trip. Forgot to mention they actually got to put the sails up on the was back to port! The boat was a BEAUTY!Written 10 May 2023

- Maria Alejandra D0 contributionsLive it!I Loved it! I had a great time, the food, the crew and the music where great. Definitely a must do if you’re in Panama and looking for a relaxing plan. Also, the color of the water was beautiful and really clear. Note: during our trip dolphins ride near us the whole time and it was incredible.Written 16 October 2022
- linacI4454JM0 contributionsJust book it!!Best tour in town, tasty food, good drinks included in the the open bar, dancing and the best part was swimming in the ocean!!Written 16 October 2022
- mkarl10 contributionsExcellent and beautiful excursion! The boat was large and not overbooked, we had plenty of space for our group of 8 to all hang and stay together, and we had a great time. Well paced, beautiful stops and food and drinks. The staff was amazing and truly made the experience special on our bachelorette trip, and was the highlight of the trip. Would do it again in a heartbeat.Written 18 March 2022
- Andrea D0 contributionsMultiple tripper here!!I have taken this cruise multiple times and love it!!! Always a FIRST to-do when I'm here!!! Highly recommend you go!!!Written 9 March 2022
- Linda I0 contributionsTour of the bay at sunset WOWWe were a group of 100 friends and this boat easily accommodated us. The food and drinks were excellent but best was the trip to see the Panama City frontage from the Pacific. The sunset was beautiful see photo. We mostly moored as there was not much wind but we did sail for part of the time. This trip was an excellent way to see Panama City from the water in a relaxed luxurious way. The captain and crew were lovely and very safety conscious too.Written 12 February 2020
- chrissI7936ZS0 contributionsGreat trip ! Wonderful hostsBooked this trip last minute and I’m happy I did. A bit of an early start but it’s well worth it. Beautiful boat and the staff were attentive professional and asked multiple times if everything was ok or if they could do anything to make the experience better. We lucked out with great weather and no rain. The food is not bad... could be better but remember your on a boat relax princess.... also they should have some snorkel gear available... I would definitely go again or recommend to others... Side note... Uber is super cheap Just Uber to the yacht club and back Bon voyage !Written 29 December 2019
- APC0010 contributionsAN EXCELENT DAYIt was a wonderful day. Good weather, excelent crew which did everything to make an unforgetable experience. The only regret was that we could not spend more time in the back of the island because one of the passanger got seasick and we have to move to the beach side. The food is not great but I did not expect much better. It is a repeatable trip.Written 8 September 2019
- DDL24140 contributionsExcellent & Relaxing DayThe catamaran and crew were amazing. The boat is pristine, the crew are great, and the sites are beautiful. We had the luck of seeing a couple of whales frolicking in the water. The captain stopped the boat for everyone to get video and pics. The island stop allows you to walk around and explore or hang out on the sand bar. The food was delicious and the drinks plentiful. We had a great time, and as a catamaran captain who does snorkel tours in the Caribbean, we highly recommend this tour.Written 1 September 2019

This was by far the best part of our trip and we wished we did it all three days! The stop at Tobago was so much fun and the stop for a refreshing swim was incredible. Highly recommend!!!Written 20 August 2019
- Mobile863140 contributionsAn amazing dayFrom beginning to end our trip on Red Cat catamaran was amazing. It was everything we could have asked for. The weather was near perfect, the on-board staff was attentive, engaging and friendly (even if a little "green"). The beverages were cold, the snacks delicious and the lunch was better than expected. It was a perfect get-away trip and day on the water.Written 14 August 2019

If you are looking for loud music, drinks, people dancing, wild teens jumping from mesh to mesh, disrespectful to all, just running around the boat, this is your trip. If you want something more relaxed, for couples, with subtle music and a calmer day, this is not the trip to do. This can be a fun trip for the appropriate ages and expectations. Service is good, not great, food is meh but it can be fun for people wanting to get drunk and be a little wild. Our group contained 12 teens celebrating someone and they were really annoying, loud and nobody kept them in check. We were a party of 4 mid 40’s and had this kids running to and from theough the nets where we were relaxing. Needless tosay, every trip they did we would be bouncing. It wan’t one needed trip, it was 25 trips each running back and forth. This might be great for some, u fortunately although the idea is great, it was not for us.

Good Afternoon, thank you for taking the time on writing this review. I would like to mention that we advertise having animation and music, we have customers from different counties and ages, so we try to keep everyone together with a good atmosphere. Once you do the second stop at the lunch time, we put relaxing music so the sailing back suits after a day at the beach. During all the excursion we have part of the crew specifically watching customers, so it's very strange for us your comment regarding people been unchecked, but we thankfully accept your comments and we will try to get better. I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations.

My husband and I had a blast on this excursion. The trip was very organized, check in at Balboa Yacht Club was easy, be sure to bring your passport, suntan lotion, hat, sunglasses & towels. The catamaran was very spacious with the most popular area being on the nets. It’s a little scary at first but once you’re settled on the nets, it’s very relaxing. The music and drinks were wonderful, it’s definitely a fun party boat. We made one stop in the middle of the ocean before getting to Taboga Island. At this stop everyone was invited to take a swim in the ocean, life jackets and noodles were provided. My husband is a great swimmer and said it was very refreshing. The excursion was definitely worth it to visit Taboga Island, it was beautiful and we were able to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella for $15. They also have a restaurant with delicious Panamanian food & cute pineapple cocktails. However, it takes a while to get your food and we were only on the island for 2 hours.I definitely recommend this excursion, it was worth it.

Hello! We had a group if 14 people from Oklahoma USA who wanted to spend a great day on the water while visiting Panama City. We booked the 6 hour Mega Catamaran the day before we went. It was one of the most memorable things our group did on aur vacation. The crew is amazingly friendly and helpful. They speak both English and Spanish. We had an adorable hostess from Venezuela..sorry I've forgotten her name...but we loved her! The swimming stop and island stop in Taboga were both exceptional. Lunch was delicious both on the boat and in Taboga. We had a blast! Go! Stop thinking about this tour and just Go! Terri - happy sailing vacationer.

Excellent outing. Food was good, staff was great and entire trip was well organized. Highlight may have been finding "Red Sox Nation" at a small bar and cafe on the island of Taboga.

What a great day, great crew and great catamaran...or are they called vessels??? My friend and I had our favorite day of our trip on this excursion. The crew was very kind and energetic. They did a great job of remembering our names even though there were at least 20 guests.

This was the second time we’ve done this trip. Large comfortable catamaran with a relatively smooth ride (obviously weather dependent). Comfortable covered benches and tables to sit at, and the four netted areas up front are popular areas to sit. Lots of standing room too.
Friendly and welcoming crew. Price includes bar, water, snacks, and a starch heavy lunch.
The first stop at the back of Taboga Island is our favorite. You anchor in a small bay and have 45 or so minutes to swim around these prestige waters and undeveloped side of the island. The second stop is a 2-hour stop at the island village. Meh, dirty beach and town that is still largely shuttered from Covid impact.
You return to the boat for lunch, and then about an hour “sail” back to the yacht club. This was our second times, both trips were by motor only.
Pluses: get to see Panama City by water, get relatively close to ships waiting to access the canal, extremely clean boat, and friendly staff.

The boat itself was extremely comfortable and modern with delicious full body nets to rest and comfortable seats. It was extremely clean and relaxing.
The trip was amazing to Taboga including a dip in the water behind the island for ourselves. The whole time well selected music was playing and I everything was just the right amount of time. Docking to and from the island was fast and easy.
Crew was excellent and treated everyone well. Amazing time all around

This is probably my fifth time going on the Red Cat, I’ve been on it with just a friend or two, and also led large groups of 30-60 and each and every time they’ve done a five star job. The captain and crew really put on an amazing day for you. I highly recommend it.

We had a great boat trip with Red Cat! Everything was very organized and felt really professional. There were several staff just for boat safety. The ladies hosting the bar and dancing were kind and helpful. I've been on several catamarans and this was one of the better ones. The boat was larger so even after hitting a bit of rain on the way back, there wasn't much rocking.
They have drinks and snacks (cookies, bread, little but odfruit) available on board The lunch was rice, salad. pasta salad potato salad and marinated chicken. Pre-cooked so not warm on board but tasty. Toboga had food options too to eat at if you didn't want the boat food.
We stopped along the back of the islands to swim off the boat and it was beautiful. Then headed to the taboga dock to get off and spend a few hours there. They had umbrellas and chairs for rent or you could just sit on the sand.
Overall the trip was worth the expense especially if you appreciate safety and professionalism. Special highlight for the crew leading a few dances foe the guests including a conga line at the end!

I would really like to know: what time do you get back? My mother and I have a plane to catch at 19:00, so I want to know if this is feasible or not. Thank you in advance for answering!
Written 28 February 2023
We got back about 4:30. Be advised that the boat docks in Amador, ( the peninsula the juts to the west from Panama City). You would have to go through downtown Panama City during the busiest time of day (even Saturday and Sunday has significant rush hours), also when you get to the airport you have to go through their immigration to leave the country. The trip is definitely worth going but on your last day it might be pretty tight. Ji

I see that hotel pickup and drop off is not included, can it be added for an additional cost?
Written 19 June 2022
You would have to ask the tour operator. However, the catamaran is moored right off Amador Causeway so you can easily Uber there.
