    What to Expect
During this 3-day trip you will have the opportunity to discover different sports on water and land!

    Day One:

Pick up at your hotel in San Salvador or airport. Transfer to the mountains of the Flower Route. You start our first day at the canopy of Apaneca, flying through the skies by several zip lines over coffee plantations!

In the morning you will go to Apaneca where you can choose to hike through the coffee farms, geysers and hike up the mountains into a thick cloud forest at 5000 ft. The Flora and Fauna is incredible. Or you can choose to take mountain bike tour that takes you through the cloud forest to the green lagoon (Laguna verde).

Overnight: Hotel Fleur de Lis or similar

    Day Two:

Breakfast. You will get up early to drive to the National park “Los Volcanes". Here come together the volcanoes of Izalco, Santa Ana and Cerro Verde. The volcanoes are located within beautiful scenery and have a wide biodiversity. You will be able to spot some 300 year old trees climbing to amazing heights. There are many species of animals living inside the park; among them are many types of hummingbirds and the black birds known as "chara" which feed other birds such as toucans, during their mating season. You will hike up Volcano Ilamatepec (Santa Ana) 2,381 meters above sea level, the tallest volcano in El Salvador. (4 to 5 hours up and down) The volcano has four craters and one of them held a sulfur lagoon. It's most recent eruption was on the morning of October 1st. 2005. You will have a great view to Lake Coatepeque, a beautiful, clean, and sparkling blue crater-shaped lake.

At the end of the day you will drive to the coast and stay at your chosen accommodation.

Overnight: Hotel Eco del Mar or Similar

    Day Three:

You will have your first surf class by a professional instructor!

The class is around 1,5 hours at one of El Salvador's well know waves for surfing. After your class, you will have all the time to practice.

If you are up to it you will have a second class in the afternoon (optional).

Your 3-day tour finish with transportation to San Salvador city center or to the airport.

Wonderful tour of the beautiful country of El Salvador
We travelled from San Salvador to Santa Anna to a coffee plantation at Concepcion De Ataco to the charming village of Nahulzalco to Suchitoto to Mayan ruins in Chalcuapa and Opico Las Palmas to Cinquera Perquin to the beach at Chirilagua to the wildlife sanctuary at Usulutan where we learned about the rescue efforts of spider monkeys. We were expertly driven and guided by Francis Espinosa. We are so fortunate to have had such a wonderful guide. His knowledge and passion for his country was apparent. All the accommodations were different and charming including the tree house at Barillas Marina. We met wonderful people and learned so much about the history of El Salvador. I would highly recommend travelling with Epic Tours and consider yourself especially fortunate if you get Francis as your guide.

Excellent experience traveling with Epic Tours El Salvador
I used Epic Tours El Salvador to help plan my trip to El Salvador in 2016, and they are an amazing company and very easy to work with. My brother and I wanted to travel to Honduras and El Salvador this year. I had my fingers crossed that Epic Tours would travel to Honduras for us, and they did! I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their communication is very good, and the drivers always arrived on time to pick us up. Epic Tours took care of all of the hotel arrangements and made sure we traveled in safe areas of both countries. I would highly recommend using this company, and I will definitely be in touch with them if I return to Central America.

    Excellent service and great value
We used Epic Tours for a 4-day stopver in El Salvador. The service was excellent with Esther answering all emails quickly and efficiently. She was very flexible. We had twonday tours - one to Suchitoto and the other to the volcanoes area and Mayan ruins. Both tours were excellent and Ricardo was a fantastic guide. Cannot recommend Epic Tours highly enough.

A great customized tour - Oscar Romero sites, a coffee plantation, and pupusas
I only had one full day in El Salvador, and I'm glad that I booked with Epic Tours to make the most of my limited time. My objectives were three-fold: (1) visit the tomb of Oscar Romero, as well as the hospital chapel where he was assassinated; (2) visit a coffee plantation; and (3) eat pupusas, which did not seem to be available near my hotel, as I was surrounded by well known "chain" restaurants. My guide, Carlos, picked me at my hotel, and we began with a brief tour of Iglesia El Rosario. From there we walked to the San Salvador Cathedral, and we descended into the crypt to see the tomb of Oscar Romero. From the Cathedral, we drove to Hospital Divina Providencia, where we saw both the chapel where Oscar Romero was assassinated as he said Mass, as well as the small house where he lived (el Centro Histórico Monseñor Romero). It was a moving and insightful visit. We then drove west to Ataco and a tour of the El Carmen Estate. Giovanni gave us a great tour, explaining how the coffee beans arrive, and the various stages of processing. We saw a full warehouse of bags of coffee beans, as well as a group of women sorting the high quality beans near the final phase of processing. Our visit to the coffee plantation concluded with a delicious cup of coffee, and then Carlos showed me around the small town of Ataco. It was a peaceful and pleasant contrast to the capital city of San Salvador. Our final stop that evening was Tipicos Margoth for pupusas as we returned to San Salvador. A great introduction to El Salvador on my first visit to the country!

    Epic Tours El Salvador
I traveled through several countries in Central America and used the services of a Honduras agency to organise the whole trip and they used services of their partners in each country. In El Salvador it was Epic Tours El Salvador, and I was very happy with that choice. I crossed the country from Suchitoto to the south via San Salvador and Mayan sites, a stay on the black sand beach in a gorgeous hotel Los Mangos, and then crossed to Nicaragua from La Union on the Gulf of Fonseca. All went very smoothly, the tours were interesting, the hotels they chose for me were wonderful (I loved the hotel Arbol del Fuego in San Salvador), the car was clean and comfortable, the guide-driver Marvel is very good, professional and a nice company to travel with. He gave me lots of information about the country, nature, people, food. One small suggestion to the agency... The driver brought me to La Union, where another person was to meet me to help with border crossing formalities and boat trip to Nicaragua. The driver left before that other person came. Then he arrived, all was good. Just would be appreciated if a traveller is not left alone (a young woman, not speaking Spanish). That's the only unpleasant moment I had, the rest of my 5 days' trip in El Salvador was absolutely great I recommend services of Epic Tours El salvador with confidence.

Great Day Trip to El Imposible National Park, El Salvador with Epic Adventure Tours!
Just back from a fantastic day tour to El Imposible National Park with our lovely driver Rafael and his son Osmaro. Drive out to the park (2hrs) passed by quickly thanks to Rafael filling us on the info of the area. Rosa, our park guide was full of info about the national park. Great walk down to Los Enganches - such a lovely spot for lunch and swim in the gorge before having to make the trek (only 3km so not too bad - but certain amount of fitness required) back up hill to Visitor Centre. Also thank you to Esther in the office who was very helpful with our booking. Well worth the trip (and the bumpy road)

First class service and fantastic adventure!
Epic Tours took care of everything in a smooth and friendly manner right from the get-go - no questions went unanswered and no requests were too much to handle. Esther was right at hand on every bend, helping with ideas, recommendations and suggestions long before I actually landed in San Salvador. The three-day package I ordered was nicely balanced with fun/exotic activities, such as zip-lining, horseback riding, rock climbing, and with more mellow strolling/chilling and simply relaxing times. My guide was a very pleasant well traveled young man, full of stories and ideas, always ready to help with whatever I needed assistance with. In short - a perfect traveling companion for me, who I prefer solo/small group travels. One particularly awesome things about this tour was perhaps the flexibility - I had to change my mind about surfing lessons and Javier turned the day on a dime into something equally fun and enjoyable. And it was a full service deal - I was picked up and dropped off right at my hotel. I would definitely recommend their services to any and all people wanting to get to know this wonderful little Latin American gem. :)

    Fishing
We used Epic Tours while on a surfing trip to El Salvador in 2012. They arranged for a fishing guide for off-shore fishing. The trip was great! We caught 20+ mahi and tuna! Most importantly, their guide was very safe, punctual, trustworthy and nice. Epic was very responsive and professional, so I would recommend them and definitely use them in the future. Have fun and safe travels!

    Amazing experience!
Had an amazing experience discovering El Salvador with Epic Tours. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional tour guides... They answered every question I asked them about the various plants and animals, as well as the different areas and towns in the countryside.. I had the opportunity to climb several volcanoes and explore important historic towns. My favorite part was the visit to the historic town of Perquin located in the northern mountains of the country, once there, I had the opportunity to spend some time swimming at the base of some of the most amazingly beautiful refreshing waterfalls!! They even took me to visit several other beautiful places that I myself didn't choose on the map as places I wanted to visit, very grateful for that!!! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone wishing to explore El Salvador.. Would like thank Epic Tours for an amazing experience!

    The best tours ever
I went on two tours with this company during my recent stay in El Salvador. Francisco, the tour guide and driver, was so nice, and very helpful. He showed us the touristy and non-touristy sides of San Salvador and Suchitoto, which was brilliant. On time, clean vehicles and excellent recommendations for lunch and dinner. In addition, Esther who booked us in could not have been nicer!

If you can think of it, they will deliver.
We have used Epic Tours on 2 different trips to El Salvador. . The first year we brought our kids and took surf lessons, boat tours, visited Perquin and learned the history of El Salvador, This year we did a kayak tour in the mangroves which was beautiful, stayed in Cabins in the mountain town of Alegria. We were invited into a community that was home to a troop of 25 wild monkeys. We were driven to the cultural town of Suchitoto and stayed in a hacienda overlooking the lake all arranged by Epic Tours, We stayed at Hotel MiraFlores in El Cuco which is also owned by Epic Tours. A beautiful quiet hotel. The hotel overlooks the pacific and is perched high on a cliff..You get the balmy breezes from the ocean, or you can swim in the pristine pool, lounge in a hammock, get a massage or lookout over the ocean at the waves, surfers and more..Food is plentiful, shrimp are huge and staff exceptional. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the owners are also involved in helping their local community with small projects intended to better the lives of people living in their community, their employees and those of their children. We have been to El Salvador a dozen times over the last number of years. I wish I had know about Epic Tours from the beginning.. Also for those who have little or no Spanish, Ricardo and Esther speak fluent English, Dutch and some German, We were treated exceptional service starting at from our Airport pickup until our airport departure. We are already looking forward to returning next year .

Volcan Ilamatepeque El Salvador maravilla mundial
