    What to Expect
Follow in the footsteps of boyars, vaivodes and kings on this 10-hour guided tour from Bucharest to the Prahova Valley. Board a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle and leave the city behind and head toward the Bucegi Mountains and Prahova Valley, one of the most attractive mountain regions in Romania. Discover the valley that the Romanian royal family loved, building a beautiful summer residence in Sinaia. Here you will visit the marvelous Peles Castle and the enchanting Sinaia Monastery, and admire the fairy-tale Pelisor Castle. Then visit the recently-renovated Cantacuzino Castle, a splendid sample of Romanian architecture.

Rhein Azuga Cellar enjoys a long tradition sparkling wine production and is a great place to spend some quality time. You will learn about the cellar, the production process, and also taste 3 different sparkling wines that were produced at the cellar.

The tour concludes with a drop-off back in Bucharest at your hotel.

    An Excellent Transylvania Tour
We recently spent three days / two nights on a privately guided tour of Transylvania. Bucharest is a lovely city, but there's a great deal more to see in Romania, and we were delighted with the Transylvania excursion organized by Authentic Romania Travel. Our guide and driver, Emanuel Balaban, is extraordinarily well informed. In addition to the scheduled points-of-interest on the tour, he added some stops that were oriented towards some of our interests, but was able to organize everything in a way that did not disrupt the timing of the original schedule. The pick-up at our hotel and drop-off at the airport made for very easy travel, and the background information added by Emanuel made for a very informative trip. We are planning on returning to Bucharest for the Enescu Festival, with the add-on of a trip to Moldavia, and we would happily book Authentic Romania Travel and Emanuel again.

    Raving about Authentic Romania!
I cannot speak highly enough about Alina and my tour to the Transfagarasan Highway. The trip itself was breathtaking (I have been recommending Romania to everyone I know since I went!) and Alina was kind enough to help with photos and gifts for back home. The communication and planning was excellent especially since I required special accomodation. They are very flexible! I would consider this one of the most professional tour companies I have ever dealt with and would recommend them highly to any and everyone. My first choice on a trip is to develop a relationship with the people who live there...and Authentic Romania helped me do that. Again, they are the VERY BEST!

    Lovely Day
The Black Sea was beautiful. We thought it would be packed with people since we went on a Sunday but it wasn't. We took the cable car ride and it gave us a nice overlook from the sky. The walking tour was very nice and we loved the stops at the church and mosque. Our guide was Octavia and he was excellent.

Much more than just an ordinary tour!
Sight seeing with AUTHENTIC ROMANIA is so much more than just average ordinary sight seeing. We really enjoyed the day trip! Not only that we got what we paid for, we got a lot more valuable information on everything you need and want to know. This goes beyond just a normal tour. The guides offer excellent service and really take care about their guests. They drive carefully and have great historical knowledge. If you have any additional questions or problems, they make sure they find a solution for this as well. Everything you might need, just ask for it and they try to make it happen! They give you the impression you are visiting an old friend, who shows you around. This is not just a hello and goodbye tour like you probably may have experienced with other guides before. You can hire them for custom tours as well. Thank you so much for a great time at Bucharest!

    Bucharest Communism Tour
Alina was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! Her command of the English language is excellent and she was very easy to understand. Not only did we get a great tour of the city but she also helped with Romanian words and phrases. When we come back I am sure we will book another tour through her and the company!

    Excellent tour option
We booked the ‘On Dracula’s Footsteps’ tour and Alina, our guide, and Gabriel, our driver, picked us up at our Airbnb right on time. We were the only ones who booked the tour that day so it was private and we moved at our own (faster) pace. Our first stop was Targoviste to visit the church, court and the tower. After leaving we headed to Poenari Fortress (about 2 hours driving). Alina walked the 1480 steps with us and we all enjoyed spectacular views at the top. Alina was an excellent guide as she gives you space to wander around if you want, but yet is always nearby to answer questions. After the descent we visited the restaurant at the foot of the hill, which was excellent. Our last stop was a monastery on the drive back and it was absolutely stunning. This is a well balanced tour between car time and activity. Some tours are very heavy with driving time and you feel as if most of the day was in the car, but this was not. They plan it well so the stops are spaced out and you don’t get bored or overwhelmed with activities. I highly recommend booking a tour with Authentic Romania. The communication and service are excellent!

    Really enjoyed this tour
One of the reasons we picked this tour was because it overnighted in Sighisoara. Sighisoara did not disappoint - it was definitely a highlight. Overall, it was a great tour and our guide was absolutely wonderful. The only reason we wouldn’t give it a 5 is that the days are a bit long.

    Fixing the false ideas
We were lucky in low season so we got a personal tour. The Bran castle is a spectacular fortess built into the steep cliffs, they are careful to explain that there is no record of Vlad the impaler being there though his grandfather owned it, the sovenier stands are well away from the castle and the vendors are quiet and don't bother you.something we don't like though some may. The castle has some great rebuilds as its purpose changed from fortress to residence ..Bram Stoker also did not visit the castle though the dracula story gets the look pretty close

    Great Trip
Very informative and fun. My friends and I were the only ones in the car, so we had a wonderful private tour. Alex (our guide), was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and gave us a lot of tips and recommendations about what to do in the next couple of days in Bucharest. 10/10 would recommend!

Our guide Dan made our trip more than Wine Tour!
My husband and I enjoy visiting different wineries all over the world. We had one of the best experiences in Romania because of our guide Dan. He knew wine very well and gave us many advices. Dan is also an expert in history. He did so much more than his basic responsibilities, and because of that our trip became so memorable. We highly recommend this trip with Dan.

Quick booking process , good communication
We had the opportunity to go on a small group tour on a recent trip to Romania with Aunthenic Romania tours. Alina our tour guide was the perfect host. She took such great care of us. She is sweet, kind and knowledgeable. Not to forget the driver Gabriel who was friendly and good company. I can't recommend this company more highly. The booking process was easy we were able to reference our hotel for pick up - they arrived ontime and their was no delay in getting on the road. The castles Peles and Bran and Brasov were beautiful. I’m glad I booked this tour it made our trip - Thank You.

    Amazing experience!
I spent 3 days in Bucharest and the trip to visit the Transylvania is a piece of the journey. About the experience, I want to thanks Cristian the guide. He's both knowledgeable and kind. You can ask him everything and he'll answer you all about you need to know about Romania. Bran castle is nice, but Peles Castle is really worth to visit. Stunning. Wonderful. Finally, I rate the experience with almost all the stars. It would be perfect if the entrance tickets for the two castles would have been included in the booking reservation. Thanks Cristian and thanks Romania.

Day trip to Veliko Tarnovo in Bulgaria
Our tour guide, Robert, offered us a professional, safe and funny trip to Veliko Tarnovo. He also helped us to book a reasonable priced transfer to the airport within short notice, I definitely recommend him and his company when visiting Romanian and Bulgaria!
