Iva took excellent care of us. She made sure we had a private cabana and brought beverages, brought us to a lovely lunch and was a consummate hostess. We did the tivua day sail and lunch- not the sunset cruise.

My family & I throughly enjoyed ourselves! We would definitely do it again with other family members again or would just recommend it in general. Cruise and scenery was beautiful, the staff were lovely and so friendly! Heaps to do with the amount of time we had on the island! My family & I enjoyed the whole day!

Talented local staff make this island tour magical and heartwarming - it’s them that makes it so special!!
I want to give this tour 6 or 7 stars - whatever the equivalent is to a Michelin star. I must say, Mother Nature was on our side and we had great weather but it’s the local staff that make this tour - the laughs, the singing, the smiles. Their energy brings the day to life. We travelled with a toddler and the staff provided great love and care for him (all within our sight) while we joined in on the activities. The catering was delicious and substantial, and lunch came with entertainment and an open bar. We went for a cruise on the glass bottom boat and I got an hour massage. If staff are reading this we want to thank ‘Anna’ for helping with our little one and ‘Joe’ for his hospitality, yarning, and weaving a whole bunch for our family. Photos just don’t do this day justice, if only I could post videos. If you are only in Fiji for a while and want a magical stress free beach day, pick this day tour.

An unforgettable day of Fijian hospitality & scenery
An incredible day! The staff were incredible and the whole experience was unforgettable. We had a 90min ride from Port D to the island, with morning tea, cultural talks and Fijian singing during the journey. At the island we enjoyed an afternoon of swimming in the ocean, snorkeling, a delicious lunch, napping on our sun loungers...it was bliss. Then we did the boat ride home to the staff singing classics on the guitar. Honestly the most incredible day out you could have - make sure to go!

        Broken boat
The boat was only running on 1 engine so what should have been a 45min cruise to the island was over 2hrs we sat on the boat for almost hr before we left the dock. staff was great but we didn't get as much time on the island as we wanted to had to have lunch on the ship instead of bbq lunch on the beach then another 2hrs back to the port very long stressful day instead of a relaxing one so unfortunately I don't recommend this tour company

        Amazing Day!
This day cruise was the highlight of our trip! It's Fiji so hard to go wrong with sand and beaches but what set this experience apart from so many others we have experienced in our 30+ years of travel was the crew. They provided entertainment and conversation during the sailing ...a very talented group wearing many different hats; they also ensured we were well taken care of once on the island. The lunch was lovely and the crew strummed and sang as we ate. Absolutely a top notch team! Thanks Ive and each and everyone of this Captain Cook Family! Our primary reason for doing this trip was to snorkel so we cannot comment on all the other activities provided on the island. The reef provided a very different snorkeling experience from Malamala. (Malamala was more plate corals while Tivua was more bombies at least in the areas we snorkeled- both excellent!) My personal highlight was finally seeing clownfish swimming in anemones. Some folks have complained about the boat being older...it definitely is not one of the high speed ferry boats but it was very clean and tidy and quite frankly added to the overall island experience. Thanks for such a memorable trip.

        This excursion is thumbs up!
I did this on a 15 hour layover! Easy peasy to set up with an airport pick up and drop off. The Fijians are bery hospitable and live in a lovely country. This excursion comes highly recommended.

        Amazing Day Snorkelling
The crew onboard the ship and through out the entire trip were amazing and entertaining. They kept us occupied with jokes and songs on the boat and were very accommodating on the island. Although it rained, the snorkelling was still amazing. Water was a little murky at certain areas but all in all it was an amazing experience. The lunch provided was catered to everyone’s liking with free flow of drinks at the bar. The were kayaks and paddle boards available as well for those who were interested. A scuba instructor was also present on the boat and was offering an opportunity for those interested to join him for Scuba diving. That came at a cost though. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes being on a boat and loves water activities.

Having drinks on the deck as we sailed toward the sunset was beautiful! But once it got dark and we made our way inside for food, it became a bit average. The eating area was very tight and we had to wait quite a while to be invited up to the buffet. I thought I read somewhere that the boat was air conditioned— I’m not sure that was the case as pedestal fans were blowing everywhere but it was still very warm! The lights were also very harsh; thankfully, someone asked for some of the lights to be turned down/off and that made it much better. The food on the buffet was excellent, including dessert and all the staff were wonderful. The cultural show was great too, but I found it very hard to see or hear properly from my table down the back. Overall, it was ok and the staff did the very best with what was available.

Staff were enthusiastic and welcoming though regrettably the food was cold, sparse and uninspiring and seating was a major letdown. Having been moved out of the dining area and seated upstairs we had to stand at the back of the boat to try and view the cultural show. In need of a major upgrade to dining and decor

The views are spectacular. The staff are wonderful and really made the whole night. They were friendly, welcoming & entertaining.

The main negative is the Captain Cook website which is terrible. The booking system is so bad we gave up & booked through Luxury Escapes. I think they’re probably losing business because of this.

The buffet was average but adequate. The views & staff make up for the other shortcomings. If you go expecting a 5 star meal & boat you will be disappointed, but if you want a nice sunset on the water with great staff, you’ll be happy.

Great experience cruising out on the water, watching the sun set, being entertained by the crew singing and playing guitars and everyone dancing. Complimentary drink on boarding, followed by very tasty canapes while staff played guitars and sang. Dinner served inside, then a cultural show on deck as we sailed back to the marina. Great fun and value for money. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

It was a beautiful night for a Sunset Cruise and we departed on time, Initially given drinks on the deck and after watching the sunset, we sat down for a buffet dinner consisting of various meat, fish, salad and vegetables. This was followed by desert. Drinks available with dinner too of course. There was a cultural show which followed which was very entertaining. At the time of booking this Cruise, we also booked another all day Cruise and the lass told us that there was a discount for booking the two, but to book the longer one first as the discount would be greater. This we did. I could thoroughly recommend the Sunset Cruise.

We had great expectations for this trip. A nice looking catamaran and friendly crew. The cruise out on deck was very nice, things went downhill quickly when we went below deck for dinner. The main cabin was musty and dirty, very hot and uncomfortable. Several guests carried their plates upstairs and balanced their plates on their laps to avoid eating below. The buffet dinner was edible but poor quality. To top things off we anchored for about an hour while they tried to get everyone to buy more overpriced drinks. The captain left the deck lights on rather than let us see the stars as we motored in. I wish we had eaten at our resort.

I was very disappointed. Be out with them several times. But this time they didn’t even have a stocked bar. Order a Bombay and tonic and we aren’t even out of the port and got the last one and no more. The selection of drinks was very much limited. And it’s a cash bar with no selection.

The food was very poor and beef curry you couldn’t even eat. All local food but go to local restaurant cause this is not good and selection is like over cooked left overs in restaurant pans.

When I did this before they had a great selection of items a lobster tails steak cuts and great selection but now lobster is an extra with an extra charge.

Not impressed with the offerings on this cruise at all. Really has gone down and this includes the food. It’s not a dinner cruise so don’t plan on enjoying the offerings.
The boat it self needs some serous TLC.

The staff are great and I feel for them to be on the front line of this troubled company. If this is a taste of the company lord help me for any one booking a cruise for 3 or more nights. Unless you don’t want to eat.
I am sure it’s the same

I recommend not to do the evening cruise and spend your money else where and enjoy the food any where but there.

Again the crew and staff are great to do with want they have. They really need to step up the game. So disappointing

Overall disappointing. This is not really a cruise. You leave the harbour and anchor about 10 mins into the trip. Have dinner, watch a show, then up anchor and come back. Total crushing time is max 20 mins, that’s probably generous.
Food is average and only one seafood option, an average piece of fish. This is a tropical island with an abundance of seafood and you get served beef rendang and lamb curry. You can opt for the lobster at an extra $77 per person!, although not available on our trip, no reason given. At $110 per person it is not worth the money. Cultural show was good.

We have travelled the world and this was one of the most substandard trips we have ever done.
They tell you to be ready for pickup at your hotel 10mts before 4pm.
They forgot us plus when picked up every one had to wait around the jetty till 5 pm to board.
There was no commentary throughout the trip by anyone, regards the view, sunset etc.
The food was rubbish. Dry and not very warm. The half lobster that they promote was like a 100mm length of dried stick. I noticed other people also put it to one side.
My wife asked for a coffee after the dinner. She was told the water was still heating. Later they told her they didn’t have tea or coffee.

It’s not a cruise. They take you out into the bay and basically idle around in the one area.
I’ve been in business and boating my whole life and would of thought a company such as this would have been more professional.
Captain Cook tours Fiji, you need to lift your game and give people the experience they are paying for.

Bula Meander, we will address this immediately, thank you for letting us know about the overcooking, cold food and lack of tea and coffee. There should be plunger coffee and a selection of tea and this will happen now. We have a schedule to allow for all hotels and there are things to do at the Port while you wait. The cruise is to see the sunset and then the lights of Denarau are gorgeous as night falls. Thank you for letting us know.

This cruise was a wonderful experience. The sunset was beautiful to see and listening to the staff singing and playing guitar was a delight. The range of food choices for the dinner was great and the lamb curry was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the Fijian dancing by the male staff, and everyone on board were smiling and friendly. A really lovely experience.
