Peru’s capital is a city of busy streets, historic squares, and bustling markets. Scratch the surface, and find a whole world of color and flavor in Lima. On this walking tour, step off the tourist trail with your guide for an authentic taste of Lima. Watch fishermen haul in their catches in coastal Chorrillos, sample fresh produce in the traditional markets, and visit an art gallery in bohemian Barranco.
What to Expect
Following morning pickup in the Barranco, Miraflores, or San Isidro neighborhoods of Lima, you begin your walking tour with your guide leading the way.
First, visit coastal Chorrillos—a part of town where fishing is big business. Soak up the seaside atmosphere, browse fresh produce at the local markets, and watch fishermen bring in their catch.
Visit the port to spot sea life, and then head to the clifftops. Here, stroll along the streets with your guide and sample traditional Peruvian dishes at the bustling markets.
Next, continue to the boho district of Barranco. Admire colorful mansions and vibrant murals, take in sites of interest including the Bajada de los Baños walkway and the romantic Bridge of Sighs, and visit one of the local art galleries for which the neighborhood is known—with the entrance fee included on your tour.
Your guide returns you to your starting point to conclude your tour.
