Overview
Visit Machu Picchu by train on a full-day trip from Cusco that takes the hassle out of exploring the spectacular Inca site. Pre-booking a tour ensures you’ll have a ticket for the UNESCO World Heritage Site, where daily visitor numbers are capped, and you’ll explore the sprawling site with a guide. When booking, choose from a variety of train options, from budget-friendly to more modern.
What to Expect
Start the day with early morning pickup from select hotels in Cusco and ride to the train station. Train options, which you can select when booking, include Expedition, The Voyager, Vistadome, and the newest 360 Train. The basic Expedition train is upholstered with traditional indigenous fabrics, while The Voyager features plush chairs with tables at each pair of seats.

Traveling in Vistadome, you’ll have glass on all sides and above your head, great for taking in the full scale of the massive peaks. The newest option, the 360 Train, also has panoramic glass and updated, comfortable seats.

On arrival at Machu Picchu, you'll continue to the ruins on a small bus for a 2-hour guided tour that explores ancient stairways, delicate carvings, and sweeping views. Afterward, enjoy some independent time to snap photos or just relax, finishing the day with the beautiful return trip to Cusco.

Great day!

Overall, a great experience! We chose the vistadome option which seemed only ok on the way there but was much lovelier and more luxurious on the way back - not sure why the trains were so different but I do wish we had the nicer...More

Amazing Machu Picchu

The Machu Picchu fortress is really a wonder. It is unbelieable that the Incas were able to build a complete city only with stones. You should ask to your hotel clerk about other options and costs. There are many around Plaza de Armas. But it...More

Excellent and well-organised Company. An Unforgettable Experience.

We booked this particular trip after reading many of their good reviews and we weren't disappointed. The day trip was super well organised. We received an email outlining pick-up time and they also left a note that our hotel left at our door the evening...More

I believe the TripAdvisor tour we did picked up from everywhere in Cusco - we certainly stopped at all types of accommodation and many areas. Just notify them of the address and wait for a confirmation.

No. Other than seeing it from Machu Picchu. Our tour was only Machu Picchu and no hiking other than within the confines of the ruins on the peak of Machu Picchu.

Yes, you can. All you have to do is purchase the return ticket for the correct train. The reservations are for trains at specific time and date.
