Machu Picchu often overshadows the rest of Cusco’s Inca ruins, which are equally ancient and far less crowded. Tick off Sacred Valley’s highlights in limited time on a day trip from Cusco—the perfect choice for history buffs and first-time visitors. Travel with ease between dispersed attractions such as Ollantaytambo Fortress and Pisac Market, where you have time to browse for souvenirs.

What to Expect
Your excursion begins with hotel pickup in Cusco, before boarding an air-conditioned coach destined for the highlights of the Sacred Valley. Your first stop is the historic city of Pisac, where you can browse Pisac Indian Market for unique souvenirs. If you’re visiting Pisac on a Sunday, witness the town’s famous Mass ceremony. Following an included lunch of classic Peruvian dishes, continue to Ollantaytambo Fortress, a 15th-century stronghold best known for its monolithic stones known as the Temple of the Sun. Take a guided tour and discover little-known information from a guide, and climb 200 steps for panoramic views. The tour concludes with drop-off at your Cusco hotel.

This was a very good tour. Our guide was VERY knowledgeable and even spent the drive to the sites talking about the past and current Peruvian political situation. I wish the stop at pisac would have visited the ruins instead of just the market but would still very much recommend

Responded 2 Jan 2020
Dear Ben S, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us, we appreciate you had a nice day touring Sacred Valley with us. Regarding the price, we can mention that our prices are very competitive considering the quality of our guides and the information they share, we manage security measures in order to guarantee the passengers’ and our staff’s security not to mention that our transportation units are truly comfortable, with AC/heating system, we also have different insurances to protect our passengers; it is true that lots of tour companies may offer this full day excursion but they won’t guarantee a good experience or a safe environment like we do. Once more, thank you for taking the time to comment your experience, we hope our service matched your expectations. On behalf of Viajes Pacífico, we thank you for choosing us and hope to be part of your journey in a next trip to Perú! Warm Regards, Quality Department Viajes Pacífico

Shuttle bus to the "Lost City of the Incas" was very interesting. Very comfortable train. The City of Machu Pichu remained hidden for centuries until discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. An interesting day through the bustling town.
