Get picked up from most major hotels in Singapore and Sentosa Island and head toward the zoo. If you’ve booked the optional breakfast, you are directed to Ah Meng Restaurant, where you’re treated to a buffet breakfast. Watch a resident orangutan family—part of the zoo’s successful breeding program—descend into the backdrop enclosure. Eat in their company, and take a photo in front of them if you’d like.
After breakfast, hop on board an open-air tram for a trip around the zoo’s habitats, which are designed to mimic natural environments from rain forests to Himalayan foothills. Spot large animals from a distance, and get closer to others.
Step out, stretch your legs, and explore on foot when the tram stops at designated points. Listen while your guide tells you about the resident animals’ lives and habitats.
Your tour returns to the original departure point in time for lunch. Sadly, without the company of orangutans.
