Take some time away from Singapore’s headlong rush into the future with a historical tour of its somber, but interesting past. Learn about the history of the Japanese occupation of Singapore during World War II, visiting former prisoner of war camps, landmarks, and memorials. Travel with a guide who narrates the history of this significant historical period, the context of which is easy to miss when traveling independently.
What to Expect
Make your way to the designated departure point at Pasir Ris MRT station, just outside exit B.

Meet your guide and travel by air-conditioned coach to Changi Museum and Chapel and the site of the old Changi prison. When the Japanese occupied Singapore during World War II, the site was a prisoner-of-war camp. Visit Johore Battery and Changi Beach.

Move to the Kranji War Cemetery, a hospital burial ground during the war that became the final resting place of thousands of Allied servicemen.

Make your last stop at The Cenotaph war memorial, dedicated to soldiers who died in both world wars, in Esplanade Park.

Hi - we were sTaying at Furama Riverside and booked through the in house tour company representative. We were collected at the hotel and returned to same. Regards.
