- StepheyTSC0 contributionsOne of the touristy things to do in HKGreat way to get a view of the city view and lights for around an hour. Took the sunset cruise and had a wine. The front seats are better as it gives you clear views and direct winds. Tad pricey but worth the experience.Written 7 April 2024
- mlharvey860 contributionsLovely EveningThis was a lovely cruise. The staff were very welcoming and I got a great view from my seat. Conscious this maybe one of the pricier options for the cruise but I think it is worth it due to reliability. Would recommend.Written 25 March 2024
- kallen06370 contributionsWe loved this cruise, but skip the Symphony of Lights sailing! The Symphony of Lights in Hong Kong was incredibly underwhelming, but we actually really loved our cruise. The boat is beautiful, the drinks are fine, and it is the perfect amount of time to sail around the harbor and see the city without being too long. I would recommend skipping the Symphony of Lights cruise and going at sunset or after the show is over!Written 22 March 2024

The views and the lighting on the buildings were great. However, there was nothing special about the aqua Luna cruise apart from it being an old imitation junk boat. The laser show itself was very disappointing and certainly nothing like I had imagined it might be like.

The junk has style and was the best boat to cruise the harbour. Seating was limited but sufficient to see the view. The small number of passengers meant nobody in front to spoil the view. The free drink was a can of cold beer and being a warm evening was good. It was lovely to see the Hong Kong skyline both towards the Island and Kowloon but not many skyscrapers or commercial properties providing light shows. Overall good and excellent value for money.

Positives:
Amazing view and plenty of room to sit and relax. There was one huge bed where guests could lay down, and it would have been good to have that space to lay down, but you can only secure it if you are among the first in line to enter the boat. There is a beverage service with which you can use to order drinks, and a champagne service which is available only if you order it online when reserving.
Negatives:
The champagne was brought very late, probably because the staff had forgotten, so I had to remind the staff. Also, the music was not matching the ambience in my opinion.

Easy to find the pier and the queue for our departure was managed well.
On board we chose seats on the upper deck, comfy seats and a table with a drinks holder so you could put it down without risk of it falling over.
A lovely trip on the water lots to see and photo opportunities. I upgraded to the champagne, and my husband had beer, all good - served quickly and chilled.
Not their fault, but I was a but underwhelmed by the laser show! But, the lights and displays the hotels put on were good, and in any case, I was happy with the boat trip and the fizz.
There are plenty of people to help you disembark.
We bought tickets directly as the option via trip advisor wasn't working, and actually, this was cheaper.
Would definitely do it again.

The Aqua Luna cruise was quite fun and relaxing.
Do get to the pier early to queue. I was there by 7.15pm for my 7.45pm cruise at Tsim Sha Tsui. Heck, I was there even before they formed a line for the slightly earlier 7.30pm cruise!
When we finally got on the boat, there were already some people on board. Being first in the queue meant that I was ushered to arguably the best seat for the Symphony of Lights show. (As you board, turn immediately to your right, and find a seat on the right side of the boat, meaning you will be facing the pier and also closest to it. Those on the left side of the boat will be furthest from the pier.)
However, do note that the 10-minute light show itself is a bit underwhelming. I had expected it though, since I had already seen it from the 102nd floor of the Ritz Carlton the evening before. Yet I still enjoyed the relaxing 45-minute cruise around Victoria Harbour. The weather was good and the air was pleasantly cool. The sound of the waves was therapeutic too.
The cruise ended on Hong Kong Island, so I took a ferry back to Tsim Sha Tsui.

Having missed the Symphony of Lights the first time I came to Hong Kong, I wanted to make sure to catch it the next time I was here. What better way to see it than from a traditional junk boat in the middle of Victoria Harbour? We booked our tickets through klook.com which was easy to buy and made our way to the pier at Tsim Sha Shui (all the way to the right of disembarking from the Star Ferry pier at the Hong Kong Cultural Center). We got there 20 min early to be amongst the first to board. The crew disembarks the cruise before ours before boarding us. Several members of the crew help visitors aboard, as you basically jump from the pier onto the boat (with many helping hands), as there is no bridge or gangplank to get on or off. The crew definitely makes you feel safe as you are told to get onboard at the precise moment the ship is not rocking. We found some seats towards the prow of the boat. A crew member was able to get another chair for us to complete our party of 3. Our ticket also gave us a complimentary beer, glass of wine, or soft drink. The order was taken promptly and delivered quickly. While enjoying the drink, the boat heads over to the pier at Central to pick up more passengers. The views of the Hong Kong skyline are unparalleled on this boat, as you're able to see both views towards Central and towards Kowloon. After picking up passengers from Central, the boat turns around and heads back into Victoria Harbour while waiting for the light show to start (the lights on the building give you a countdown). The light show was cool but I thought the synthetic music was a little cheesy. But getting to be on a beautiful boat with night views of Hong Kong to be an incredible experience that can't be forgotten.
1) Board on Tsim Sha Shui for better selection of seats on the outside deck
2) Trust the crew and your sea legs when they help you board and disembark
3) Save $ and go for the cruise right before or any of the times after the Symphony of Lights

The boat ride itself and tour around the bay was great. They take you out to the middle of the bay and you get to see all the buildings that are apart of the light show. Afterwards they cruise around the bay so you get to see the east end too.
My issue was they told me they loaded at Pier 1 at 7:30pm but I couldn't find them there. I had to rush over to Pier 9 by 7:45pm. I got on so that wasn't a big deal but then they told me they would be dropping off at Kowloon instead of heading back to Soho like what was on my itinerary. Minor inconvenience since Star Ferry takes you back for under a buck but still.

Easy to find the pier and the queue for our departure was managed well. we left from Tsim Sha Tsui Pier 1. Our departure time was 7.30pm but we lined up areound 6.45pm and were about 8th in line then. They line up pretty early.
The pier can be crowded we were lucky we walked down the night before so we knew where to go.
On board you need to move fast to secure your seat, we chose seats on the deck, comfy seats and a table with a drinks holder so you could put it down without risk of it falling over.
A lovely trip on the water lots to see and photo opportunities. my husband had beer, which was cold, so all good - served quickly and chilled.
We liked the laser show but it is a but underwhelming compared to all the hype that comes with it. The lights and displays the hotels put on were good, can understand why its not more spectacular, but its a shame they don't tell you the earlier boat ride had a drone display, we were lucky to see it while standing waiting for the boat to come and pick us up.
In any case, we were happy with the boat trip, cool breeze and just enjoying the moment.

This one-hour cruise is a great way to watch the light show on the buildings of Hong Kong (and a few in Kowloon) while having a drink on a traditional-style red-sailed junk. Towards the end of the cruise the Aqua Luna stopped on the Kowloon side and we took advantage of the chance to explore Nathan Road by night. Pleasant way to see HK from a different angle.

We had an afternoon on a HKIA layover at our disposal, and we were delighted to have chosen Aqua Luna hop on hop off cruise on Victoria Harbour.
The Crew was delightful and the service impeccable. I was greeted by name on boarding and conveyed in the utmost style across the harbour, with complimentary refreshment.
We decided to spend some time having lunch, shopping and making a short MOMA gallery visit at Tsim Tsa Chui. We then 'hopped on' to the hourly service and returned to Central.

Why hasn’t my refund been processed? It is over two weeks since the weather meant my trip was cancelled. No one has responded to any of my messages. What is going on??
