Excellent evening of delicious treats!
We spent the evening in a small group with Cherie going to various small family-run restaurants in the hutongs. We had some fantastic food including Mongolian bbq, doornail meat buns and pancakes. Beer and soft drinks flowed the whole night and the tuk tuks took us to everywhere we needed. The final stop brewery was excellent. I am a coeliac so allergic to gluten and our guide did really well to accommodate my needs including ordering separate dishes and cooking my bbq separately. A great tour!

Delicious AND local, super informative, too!
After living for a year in Beijing and taking two other Lost Plate tours (one in Beijing and one in Chengdu), my friends and I decided it was time to do a breakfast tour. It was great because it took us to a part of Beijing that we had never been to before. It was also extremely local, and we felt like we were getting an authentic Beijing experience. There are many stops, and the food just kept coming and coming. Go hungry! Even though ultimately I decided that Chinese breakfasts aren’t really my thing, I can definitely say that I’ve tried so many of the delicacies that BJ has to offer and I know so much more about the food of this region (and a little bit of the history too!). Our guide, Kelly, was excellent and friendly and really made the experience worthwhile. I highly recommend all of their tours and if you want something a little bit different and have an adventurous side, the breakfast tour might be something great for you!

Lost Plate Food tour is well worth doing
We did not really know what we were letting ourselves into in booking this tour. However, we were up for an adventure, some great food and an insight into Beijing’s famous Hutongs and we were not disappointed. The food tour takes you to six separate destinations and at each location different fare is offered. It was all delicious so be careful not to fill yourself at the first few stops as there is plenty more to come. Importantly, none of the food served would upset ‘western dietary sensitivities’ and all. was washed down with ample quantities of the local beer. Riding the Tuk Tuks around local back streets was fun and gave a view of the City less known to tourists. The tour was definitely a culinary and cultural highlight And is strongly recommended.

Not surprised it's No1
After finding our way to the meeting point... Met our group of friendly tourists. Sherrie was fantastic host. Whizzing around on the tuk tuks. Bit of a bonkers driver so drink beer. Never been on a food tour before. Will definately do again! When we go somewhere else For others.... pics of the meeting point. The train station is huge!

Experience the real Beijing Hutongs
This is the perfect way to find the hidden Hutongs and what delicious food awaits. Sherry our guide was so friendly and spoke perfect English, nothing was too much trouble. She arrived on time and immediately explained what was going to happen, plus we immediately had a drink offered. Once everyone arrived, off we went in one of three Tuk Tuks expertly driven around the narrow alleys. We were taken to a selection of restaurants each serving a different style of Chinese/Mongolian cuisine. All dishes were well presented with little waiting, you felt confident eating the food knowing that Sherries Company had vetted quality. At every stop Sherry ensured that we had another drink and we felt looked after and pleased with value for money. Would recommend this trip to anybody, ideal if you arrive early in the morning to help keep going and get established in a new time zone.

Fantastic way to explore the hutongs
My boyfriend and I spent our first evening in Beijing on this tour, and it was the perfect way to experience the rich culture and history of the city. We were fortunate to have a fantastic group of co-travelers and our guide Sherry was amazing! The meeting place was easy to find and the cold drinks on arrival were perfect. Great range of foods showcasing many of the different cultural groups. The Hutongs are a must see in Beijing and would definitely recommend this as the way to do it! Unfortunately too busy eating and didn’t get many photos!!

Food & Beer Tour
I went on this tour, and it has been the highlight of my trip to Beijing. A really fun enjoyable experience with fantastic food and beer and a great way to see the Hutongs of Beijing. The restaurants and the food that were selected, where first class and the method of transport a novelty, fun and safe. There were 11 people in the tour, which made it an ideal size to chat to others and get to know them, and our fantastic guide Sherry was knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
