Stop for a photo op at Beijing National Stadium, the famous “Bird’s Nest” from the 2008 Summer Olympics. Unlike the tourist-packed Badaling Wall, which is closer to the city, Mutianyu remains less explored, so you have time to leisurely wander the iconic monument without the crowds. You can even climb ancient watchtowers for views of the surrounding countryside. Break for a mouthwatering authentic lunch at a local restaurant. Then get ready to shift gears—and jump over a 1,000 years forward in time—at the 18th-century Summer Palace, known as the best-preserved imperial garden in the world. Enjoy the UNESCO-listed landscaped grounds, once home to powerful Qing rulers, before getting dropped back at your hotel in Beijing.

          Safe and knowledgeable driver
Yu Yongtai was a great and thoughtful driver. He brought us bananas anticipating that we would get hungry. He communicated with us well and walked us right to the cable car ensuring we wouldn’t have any difficulty getting in. I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone else visiting Beijing.

The best way to see the Forbidden City!
The only way to see Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. If can be crowded and a limited number of tickets for entry are issued a week in advance. The tour group is on it and gets tickets for you and you get expedited access. Well worth it for that alone. Add to it that Miko, our tour guide, made the experience really special. His English was great and he shared lots of relevant information about the sights in the Forbidden City and Chinese history. He’s really knowledgeable and a really nice guy. When the tour was over, he went out of his way to help me find a pharmacy and called ahead to let them know I was coming and what I needed. I feel like i have a friend in Beijing in Miko.

I reccomend it! The tour was full of interesting information
Great experience! Miko is such a great and involved guide! He was very well informed and his style was very interactive. He made his best to make us understand the significance for both Tiannamen Square and Forbidden Palace. For us, coming from a totally different culture, it was very interesting to find out how the Chinese history developed during the years. Also, at the end of the tour, Miko helped us with some precious tips and tricks about the city and what we could do next in Beijing.

          Insightful tour with Anson
Anson is a real history buff! He knew all the gossip that took place in The Forbidden City and the details around the Tiananmen Square too. The tour started promptly as we were able to skip the queues swiftly. Anson then shared his knowledge around the Tiananmen Square. We then entered The Forbidden City where he focused mainly on showing the palaces that are open for visiting. Anson made sure we always had a shady spot, water and toilet breaks. Overall great tour, awesome tour guide, and lots of time and space to walk around and explore.

Went with my wife and we had a great experice with our guide Edward and driver Mr Jia.

The car ride was comfortable and I got a message from Edward on the night of booking to suggest an earlier time to skip traffic which was a nice touch.

Mr Jia the driver Also made the effort to tell us a bit about the city and what we were driving past via Google Translate which was appreciated.

Best part was being able to skip the lines and not have to worry about buying tickets or arranging for transport.

For the convenience of not having to worry about logistics or admin the price is worth it.

This was a great trip and Lucy was a fantastic guide. First of all, Lucy called the hotel the day prior to ensure we were prepared for our tour.

She met us in the lobby of our hotel on the morning of our trip. Once introduced we went out to the vehicle where the driver was waiting.

We were driven to Mutianyu section of the Great Wall - the drive was approx 1 1/2 hours and Lucy spent this time talking to us about the history of China, the Wall and so much more.

Once at the Wall she picked up our tickets for the lift to the top and toboggan ride back down.

We spent a few hours exploring the wall all the way to guardpost 1 and back towards guardpost 20.

Once we were done we took the toboggan down, loaded the car and went to lunch about 20 minutes away.

We had an amazing, traditional Chinese lunch experience. Lucy asked if we had any food allergies or objections to sharing a traditional meal - we did not have issues or objections.

We shared dishes of pork, beef, chicken and dumplings and all of us thought it was fresh and delicious.

After lunch we continued our drive to the Summer Palace where we walked with Lucy for 1.5 hours throughout the grounds of the Summer Palace. Again Lucy spent the entire time talking to us about the history and culture of this site.

On our return to the hotel we were able to stop briefly for a view of several buildings from the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

We had a fantastic time touring these sites and would highly recommend Lucy - she’s prompt, polite, extremely knowledgeable and very nice.

        Day 1:
My mother and I did this tour with Sophie, who is wonderful! She is knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and patient. She taught us a lot of Chinese history in a clear way with photos and resources to help our learning. She answered all of our questions with interest. When there was an opportunity to learn, she spoke Chinese to the locals to ask their permission to show us new things outside of the scope of the tour. We really appreciated her going above and beyond! She took great photos for us, researched restaurants and attractions for us to do on our own time, and told us so many great everyday tips for our stay in China. We loved this tour with Sophie so much that we booked one with her for the next day too!

On this tour, the driver was also phenomenal. He was extremely professional and polite, and his car was very clean. We appreciated his attentiveness to road safety (signalling etc). He offered us fresh water bottles at each stop, he was always on time, and he got out of the car at every stop to help us with the car doors, as did Sophie.

        Day 2:
Sophie was as awesome as day one! Again, extremely knowledgeable, willing to teach, cheerful and attentive. Sophie is exceptional!

However, we were disappointed with the driver experience this time, especially in comparison to how exceptional the first driver was. The driver today needs to improve professionalism, road safety, and service. His car was clean, and he provided us with water as the first driver did. Overall the driving job was done, but not to the exceptional standard of the previous day.

        ******

We would like to thank Sophie for making this trip wonderful, our time together is a huge highlight of our China trip! I hope to be able to tour with Sophie again soon, she rocked!

This is a great tour that I can highly recommend. I was picked up by Vivian (my guide for the day) and the driver at my hotel at 8 am, and we went straight to Summer Palace. Unfortunately, it rained heavily that day, but that didn't deter us from exploring the palace grounds. Vivian was a great guide - extremely knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and she took pictures of me wherever she thought would be good. She took care of tickets, and she took the time to really go into the details of China's history. After around two hours of exploring Summer Palace, we were picked up again by the driver and the next stop was a lunch place on the way towards the Great Wall. They took me to a restaurant in a smaller town, and Vivian ordered a nice variety of dishes. The food was just amazing. We then drove to the Great Wall where we took a cable car to the top and walked on the wall for a while. Despite the mist and rain it was truly impressive and I felt lucky not to have too many tourists around. Again, Vivian took several great pictures of me. Once we were back down, Vivian and the driver took me back to my hotel. Overall, this is the best way of exploring these sights, and everything was well organized, and both Vivian and the driver were great people to spend the day with.

We had a great time visiting and learning about these 2 historical places of China from our very knowledgeable guide, Sherry, and our friendly driver, Mr Sun. They constantly looked out for us during the entire trip, even when my friend wanted to get some fresh fruits, they found a stall nearby for her to get some. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants a fuss free, everything in tour of these 2 iconic sites in one day!

Sherry and the driver arrived at hotel earlier than booked, so we were able to get to the Munianyu Great Wall when it was still empty. During the trip, Sherry explained a little about the history and what we would be seeing at the location. Arriving at the Mutianyu section of the wall, she accompanied us making everything easy. We then visited a tea house and went for lunch at a very nice traditional restaurant with the best tofu I've ever had. We then travelled back to Beijing to visit the Summer Palace. Again Sherry shared a little about the history and what we would see at the location. She accompanied us through the entire tour explaining in detail each spot of the palace. It was a great day!

We have had a great time visiting the Great Wallnof China. Very busy due to the May 1st holidays but by leaving early we experienced no delays. Sherry was very knowledgeable about the history and current affairs which was very interesting. Therafter we enjoyed a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant with a welcoming feel and no other (Western) tourists. Finaly we visited the Summer Palace where Sherry again made all the difference in guiding us through the crowds and sharing here wealth of knowledge. We can highly recommend the trip!

We booked this tour also a Beijing evening tour with Qing Tours , beg April 2023. It was our 1st trip in China for work also , as China opened for foreigners just in March after Covid . We wanted to as much as possible, post Covid Beijing.
Lucy, our guide was a great guide explaining us Chinese history also daily life. She walked with us, almost 4kms of Great wall ,, a long walk1! explaining its history and guiding us through. We visited with her also the Beijing Palace and other Bijing landmarks. Lucy patiently explained thoroughly walking and talking (it was a long 9 hours tour with private car and walk!!) Went of our her way even to help us change money....not an easy process...For foreigners with China bank account..Rmb cash is the only way to go around China now..Beware!! Visa..Master are almost nowhere accepted
The evening tour was with Anson where we visited Tiananmen square , walked to the old city and parks (opera, outside palace etc) also Olympic games park.
Organization from Qing was great, punctual , clean cars and drivers , also both were great guides not looking at the clock to end.. Great experience ! Thank Lucy and Anson and Qing.
Highly recommend for Beijing 1st timers and for sure do it again with them next visit Beijing with my family.

Two incredible sites to visit with the guide, Victoria, there to share lots of knowledge and historical background. It was a fascinating day out and the wall itself is just a breath taking (literally and metaphorically) experience but you do need to be very careful up and down the steps as they're not made for big feet. Once you get past the worry of starting a human landslide and get your breath back the sheer scope and magnificence of the achievement of building something on that scale is quite something to behold. I did do this on a Saturday though and you have to accept because of this you might well spend most of your day in the car as Beijing traffic is incredibly slow (took about two hours back from the wall which is just over 50km)

We took the trip with our 2 kids and the tour guide Cathy was lovely and a perfect tour guide. We got a lot of helpful informations and enough time to take pictures, she also took family pictures of us. The driver was also always on time and careful with driving.
