About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- seanp700 contributionsExcellent long distance transportation in EgyptWe used Sunrise for two separate long distance taxi transfers. One from Hurghada to Luxor, and one from Aswan to Luxor. Bahaa, the manger, always kept in touch during our stay and gave us an excellent fixed price for both journeys. Our driver, Walid, always went above and beyond, sharing his local knowledge and ensuring we were comfortable. The car was comfortable, clean and well maintained. When we next visit Egypt, we will use Sunrise to organise all our excursions. Highly recommended.Written 10 February 2025
- S636MVjane0 contributionsA disappointing static experienceThis was a total disappointment. In today’s digital world I expected laser and moving light patterns and pictures, integrated music and video moving images. Instead it was simply different coloured lights appearing statically around the temple and a recorded voice telling the love story….which I knew from an earlier tour. At $65 it felt a ‘rip off’. The boat trip over there was good with the night lights and PhilaeTemple lit from a distance as we approached.Written 7 February 2025
- V6271SIdavidp0 contributionsOne wonderful in LuxorBahaa the owner was quick to answer my messages and we book a driver to go around Luxor for one week. We visited Karnark, Luxor temple, Valley of the Kings/Queens, Tombs of the Noble, Dier El Medina, Temple of Khnum at Esna, Abydos, Dendara and much more. Our driver Ahmed was great, friendly and very professional. He was always on time and we felt safe in his care. I would highly recommend Sunrise Tours in Luxor.Written 16 January 2025
- nss2060 contributionsEdfu, Kom Ombo & AswanWe had a very good tour to Edfu, Kom Ombo, Abu Simbel, Aswan High Dam, and Philae temple with all tickets included. Ahmed (the tour guide) was very professional and explanations were entertaining. We didn’t have to wait much for tickets and the tour was overall seamless. Ahmed and Mr Bahaa also made sure we were safely back in Cairo - thank you for the hospitality!Written 5 January 2025
- louiseoelofse280 contributionsFantastic trip to Luxor with SunriseWe spent 4 days in Luxor and used Sunrise for every excursion (East Bank Tour, West Bank Tour, Day trip to Aswan and they took us to Hurghada). Bahaa, the manager, ensured the tour ran smoothly from start to finish. He was professional, responsive, and made sure everything was in order. Ali Gomah, our driver, was friendly, punctual and drove safely. We were comfortable every step of the journey. Our Egyptologist, Mohammed Tawab, was knowledgeable and engaging- he was a huge part of making this trip fantastic and fun! Cannot recommend this company more! It was fantastic!Written 22 December 2024
- yiqingd20240 contributionsThe best tour agency in EgpytSunrise is the best travel agency in Egypt! I book the cruise from Aswan to luxor, he gave me very reasonable price and helped arrange every detail of the tour: kom ombo temple and edfu temple. What’s more, he also helped me found a nice guide and car for two days trip in luxor. Always reply in time and friendly! Trust me, choice sunrise!Written 12 September 2024
- vale17850 contributionsAmazing day trip from Luxor to AswanThis trip has been amazing. Thanks so much to Mr Bahaa and the fantastic driver Ali. I requested a trip from Luxor to Aswan with intermediate stops to Esna, Edfu, Kom Ombo and Philae Temples and the experience couldn't have been better. The booking process with online payment was very fast and smooth and I received support throughout. On the day of the trip, Ali welcomed me at the airport and he has always been very professional and kind. Despite the long trip and the numerous stops, he managed to take me to the last temple before the closing time. I really appreciated the effort and I definitely recommend Sunrise Tours. ThanksWritten 12 May 2024
- demelzabrown0 contributionsGood booking experience and enjoyable cruiseWe contacted a few tour companies in Luxor regarding a Nile cruise, in search of a competitive price and an itinerary tailored to suit our needs, and Sunrise Tours were very accommodating. We booked entirely through WhatsApp and paid as we boarded, which made everything very simple, and they were always happy to answer any questions we had. Really enjoyed the cruise they booked for us as well :)Written 16 April 2024
- 266bethanl0 contributionsGreat Museum, poor experience. The Nubian Museum is a wonderful collection, well displayed in a great building. Lots of explanation of Nubian history and culture. However, the chap in the ticket office was almost certainly trying to scam us. He insisted we paid by card and then took my card, put it in the hand held card machine and entered a figure which I couldn’t see and just asked for my pin. I made him start again in full view - he was very angry - I am convinced he would have over charged us and then taken cash from the next visitor…. The visit was almost ruined by a school party who had no interest in the museum and just wanted to hassle us (for money). Teachers had no control.Written 6 March 2024
- Wenz19630 contributionsBest day outAn incredible day, the water was so clear and the bluest I have ever seen. So many gorgeous colourful fish and unreal how bouyant the water was. A very nice lunch was provided and our crew were all very friendly. Definitely a must do activityWritten 1 March 2024
- Relax7228870 contributionsHigh price for low valueIt's too expensive (almost USD 50) for a tour to a place tha has little to offer. If you want to have a good experience go to Philae (Agilika Island) to visit the Temple of Isis. Just skip Elephantine Island and save your money and your time.Written 25 September 2023
- light110 contributionsTailor made to suit us perfectly! We had a fantastic 2.5 days of tours and transfers from Hurghada to Luxor and then Luxor to Marsa Alam with Sunrise Tours. Sunrise Tours was also the most reasonably priced of the many tour companies I contacted and by far the most accommodating. The range in pricing between companies can be enormous. We visited in summer with a young child when afternoon temperatures were 45C. Bahaa who is the head of Sunrise Tours was so accommodating and let us split our day -- starting very early (sights open at 6am) in order to be able to avoid the scorching sun and to have a much-needed rest in the afternoon and then continuing in the late afternoon/early evening. Starting super early also meant that we had some sights to ourselves which was absolutely fantastic. He also made sure that we got to see what we wanted which was of utmost importance to us as we had done our homework and knew exactly which tombs and temples we wanted to see. The communication and booking of the tours with Bahaa over Whatsapp and email was also very smooth. Our driver Walid had a great sense of humour and by Egyptian standards drove very well. Egyptians really do sometimes drive on the wrong side of the road! We think it’s because some of the highways which are dual carriageway have the carriageways so far apart that you can’t see the oncoming side and because there aren’t a lot of junctions to enter the highway the Egyptians find it sometimes easier and faster to just take the nearest carriageway even though one is driving against the traffic! When it gets dark, many drivers don’t switch on their car headlights which is something we still can’t understand. Walid was also very patient waiting for us in the scorching sun while we were seeing the sights. He also helped us by buying things like refreshments and food for us so we wouldn’t have to pay tourist prices. The car we had was a very new (3 year old) seven seater Mitsubishi with individually controllable air conditioning at the front and middle rows. The guide was very knowledgeable and patient but left us alone too often. Other guides we saw at the sights tended to explain more, but everyone is different in their requirements and we have always wanted to see the sights and are super interested in Egyptology hence we were hungry for every bit of information. Bahaa texted us each day to ask us how things were and at the end he also told us that we could have had a different guide if we had just told him that we were not completely satisfied. Seeing the fantastic ancient sights of Luxor and Dendera has always been a dream and thanks to Sunrise Tours we got to see them in the fine detail we wanted, at our own pace and at a much more reasonable price than other tour companies!Written 11 July 2023
- laurafQ5778GI0 contributionsA must do - guaranteed fun! This is a must to do and highly recommend! It was a lot of fun having the quad bikes in the desert and the view was unreal! Mustafa, our guide, was really great and made sure the group enjoyed their time. The sunset ride was beautiful over the desert, valley and nearby mountains.Written 2 June 2023
- donsP8303QF0 contributionsA great and truly well-guided trip to Abu SimbelWe had such a wonderful and carefree tour with our guides. They picked us at our river boat on-time with a comfortable ride to the airport. We were then met at the Abu Simbel airport and wisked away in a comfortable coach bus. We had a personal guide to show us around the two temples and most importantly get us through the shopping stalls and back to the bus. The Abu Simbel temple was of course, Just AMAZING, and well worth the trip. We were very pleased about the entire one-day trip.Written 31 May 2023
