About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Something N0 contributionsBook it!As a solo female traveler, it is important that I feel safe and comfortable. Momo made sure of both! His knowledge of the city's history while also being entertaining and attentive was a nice balance. I liked that he catered the tour to my preferences. The horse ride was a perfect change of pace! I recommend this tour!Written 19 September 2024
- Kimberly J0 contributionsSolo femaleI had already visited several sites in Cairo but wanted to see a few more. I just gave a list of places to visit and they made it happen! Very accommodating. And very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.Written 17 September 2024
- m_passpartout0 contributionsA wonderful day of learning about Coptic Cairo with Manar, our excellent guide and friend.Manar, our expert tour guide to Coptic Christian sites, and Deuce Azhar, our expert driver, provided a wonderful day of learning the culture and history of Coptic Cairo in a friendly, relaxed environment. Manar has a deep knowledge of the Coptic’s and clearly explained the architecture and symbolisms of the churches. There was a mystery around every corner because we are keen to notice features that more hurried visitors overlook. At each stop, Manar would guide us through the site, then give us free time to carefully photograph our visits. She showed great patience in allowing us to record these special memories and encouraged us to not rush but take whatever time we needed. This would not be possible on a group tour! One site that we had seen on YouTube but had not planned to see was the unique recycling village of “Garbage City”, a large neighborhood where all manner of freight vehicles - trucks, motorcycles, hand carts, bicycles, cars - haul giant loads of materials sorted by the residents from trash piles to sell. Manar was quick to resolve a logistics problem when we could not access our tickets to the Coptic Museum due to a technical issue. She offered us several solutions, one being a switch to a sail with lunch on a felucca on the Nile. It was a calm fantastic experience after driving through city traffic. The boat captain she arranged for us did more than pilot the boat. He entertained us, suggested photo poses and encouraged my wife and I to slow dance to his playing of Nat King Cole’s “What a Wonderful World.” Manar suggested photos with the Cairo background and posed with us for a few lifetime memories of today in this “Wonderful World.” We could not recommend Manar and this Viator tour more highly in your visit to Cairo. Let her and Deuce Azhar manage the hectic roads and stress of Cairo so you can do what you came for: to learn about this culture and history and enjoy Cairo.Written 12 August 2024
- SkyFox20100 contributionsGreat day tour of AlexandriaWe had a great day in Alexandria with our private guide Mahmoud and driver! We visited some very interesting sights like the pillar and the national museum, and it was full of fun facts and laughs. We were very happy with our day out and very affordable. Thanks!Written 11 August 2024
- 506mirnae0 contributionsCairo at night! The Cairo at night tour was great!! We had a wonderful tour guide, Manar. She took us to see wonderful sights and was very informative about the history and lifestyle of the Egyptian people. We even had an authentic and very delicious meal! Definitely recommend her, and this tour. Our driver, Tada was also great and got us everywhere safe and sound. All with a smile on his face.Written 24 April 2024

- itsallabouto0 contributionsEnriching tour of Egyptian historyI enjoyed my tour with Manar and Azzat. Manar and Azzat were my guides to the Cave Church, the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum, Coptic Cairo and the Synagogue Ben Ezra. Manar openly shared with me her vast knowledge of Egypt's history. I encourage you to book this tour through Travelish Tours. You won't be disappointed.Written 7 March 2024
- Clifton T0 contributionsCoptic Christian Egypt real-life tourManar our guide was knowledgeable and made the trip interesting and relatable. We enjoyed seeing the Coptic museum, the synagogue, and the two Coptic churches in the neighborhood. For me a highlight of the tour, was the drive through MANSHIYAT NASSER on the way to the cave church. This is not on most visitors itinerary but I loved it. These people collect the garbage for most of Cairo and reportedly have one of the highest recycling rates anywhere, upwards of 90% of solid waste gets recycled in this city within a city.Written 10 January 2024
- imada6660 contributionsBeauty and History in 1It was an amazing experiance and the mosques were beautiful. Truly the history of Islam in Egypt. Ayoub our tour guide was very knowledgable and was very kind and polite. I will recommend having him as your tour guide.👍Written 4 December 2023
- U1993DQlawrencel0 contributionsCoptic Tour Cairo with ManarGreat day out doing the Coptic Cairo tour with Manar. She provided insightful, comprehensive and interesting explanations on the various spots and churches we visited. Manar is very friendly, chatty and kept us entertained throughout the tour. We were taken to a pretty cool local restaurant for lunch and thanks for showing us authentic Egyptian food! Driver Mr Ahmed was also friendly and constantly held doors opened for us. Thank you to Manar and Ahmed for the experience.Written 17 November 2023
- marshacmarsha0 contributionsFun-filled Day in Alexandria w/ Wonderful Guide MoMoMoMo, once again, provided the best day of fun activities!!! Guest wanted something not so "touristy" and some of Alex's best fresh seafood. Travelish came thru by amazing the group with beautiful views from the grounds of Montazah Palace and a yacht sail on the Mediterranean Sea, plus a visit to the renowned Alexandria Library and a stop for the tastiest seafood at White & Blue. The group had never indulged in such well-seasoned grilled squid. Happy guests always have smiles on their faces and these guests left beaming from this full-day experience in Alexandria. We have Travelish to thank for this wonderful fun. Definitely highly recommend MoMo for again delivering that 5* service to the guests.Written 4 November 2023

- N1984YUlauras0 contributionsInsightful guide for AlexandriaMomo Salah was a wonderful tour guide! My husband and I were taken by Momo from our cruise ship for a one day tour of Alexandria. He was very adaptive since we kind of dumped an overly ambitious tour plan that we had put together the night before. He handled it with grace and with some quick thinking was able to pick our best routes and timing in order to not only squeeze it all in but with out rushing us. We even had time to end with a lovely lunch close to our port with fabulous views and to enjoy this thoughtful deeply caring young man. Thank you Momo!Written 21 October 2023
- adad3010 contributionsFriendly and accommodating!Momo Salah was excellent in coordinating everything and we will certainly contact him again in our next visit to Egypt.Written 21 October 2023
- DougH3290 contributionsWhirlwind tour of AlexandriaMy wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a two-day guided tour of Alexandria. It was a whirlwind with all of the major sites but we never felt rushed. What an amazing city! We saw catacombs, Roman ruins, St. Mark's Church, the incredible library, a beautiful mosque and more. Our guide, Wessam, was knowledgeable, flexible and fun. She kept us on track. Our driver, Mahmoud, was friendly and professional, navigating some of the crazy traffic in a calm way. Highly recommend.Written 19 October 2023

My cousin and myself visited Egypt in the month of Feb and we selected the Alexandria Day tour package from Cairo. We started from Cairo early morning and reached Cairo back by sunset. I must say it was a very eventful day. We had a chance to visit and learn about Alexandria’s history from the very knowledgeable and informative tour guide Mahmoud. He was very friendly and fun too. I enjoyed the seafood lunch as well. All in all, we loved the tour and would recommended others too!!

From the moment we met our guide Gouda to the moment we parted ways was a nonstop education of Alexandria and all things Egypt. We initially signed up for just an Alexandria tour but Gouda offered to keep it going as we drove back to Cairo with a stop at Giza to do some shopping for papyrus art, silver jewelry and oils after we had mentioned our appreciation of oils and jewelry. On our way back we got pumped up when we saw the pyramids and he asked if we would like to see the pyramid light show after dark which we all agreed to. While at the show Gouda went back to the jewelry store we visited and picked up our order. Gouda is a great guide with great energy and a lot of knowledge that he will enthusiastically share. Also took us to his shawarma spot in his neighborhood that was really good.

Had a fantastic experience!
The driver was nice and polite, driving as safe as possible in Egypt.
The guide was absolutely superb - very flexible, altered the itinerary based on our interests and was sharing loads of interesting facts and stories about the places we’ve visited (+ a thousand other questions we had).
We didn’t expect much from the trip but were really impressed and would recommend to anyone!

It was an all around great experience and great trip, our guide Mo was knowledgeable and we saw great things, …it was great until our driver brought us back to Cairo to a “national papyrus institute” and trinket shop that totally ripped off myself and my travel partner as we thought we were buying authentic souvenirs, rather than cheap foreign crap. As we were relatively new to the “markets” culture, now several days later in Egypt we know much better. Buy your stuff in the museum shops!

I had planned a 7 day itinerary with this agency , and everything worked out perfectly. The transfer services were excellent , Mustafa our driver was always on time ,safe driving and my kids loved his company.
Mohammed did our tours in Cairo , he was both very informative and entertaining, it was so much fun. Mahmoud guided us around Alexandria, which was the most beautiful experience and the lunch was just superb. Another Mahmoud Farah accompanied us on the Nile Cruise , he was a fountain of knowledge and so accommodating of the kids moods etc.
We are truly grateful to the entire team for making our trip so memorable and enjoyable.

Thrilling exploration of ruins and captivating museum visits! Our guide's historical stories added a rich layer to the experience. Beyond knowledge, their sweetness and generosity made the journey memorable. A top choice for anyone seeking a guide – responsive, proactive, and even assisted in booking independent tours. 100% recommend for an enriching time in Egypt!

Egypt is AMAZING! but Alexandria is not worth it if you have limited time!
This tour of Alexandria for us provided a basic taste of Roman influence in Egypt, nothing in comparison to Italy, the Egyptian experience was not to be had here. We would strongly recommend spending your time and money in Cairo/Saqqara/Aswan/Luxor if you want to see Egyptian history & relics.
The dangerous high speed! 3 hr each way drive, filthy toilets and basic food provided, along with a poorly informed guide by an operations manager with limited understanding of the sites was a wasteful experience.
Upper Egypt is the treasure trove!

Momo did a great job in giving us the history of Alexandria. He treats you like family. Per our request he deviated from the tour where we finished the afternoon at a relaxing Seafood restaurant near the citadel. Great food, views, and an excellent host.

Our day started rough with me being in a lot of pain. We went from Cairo to Alexandria with our excellent driver. Upon arriving to Alexandria we met Momo our tour guide. With the help of my friend, driver and Momo our trip to Alexandria was amazing 🤩 Momo is very knowledgeable and very patient with me and my discomfort, but overall he made this trip fun and pleasant. He is a very kind tour guide all the locals love him and the city pets also look forward to see Momo. This tour is very well worth it, and our lunch was delishhhhhhhhh 😋. I high recommend this tour and ask for Momo 🤗

Hussain was such a smooth and safe driver from Cairo to Alexandria and back. He is fairly quiet but attentive to our needs (e.g. water, breaks, opening car doors etc.). His car was very comfortable and clean.
Momo was a complete joy for the day. Being a local to Alexandria, he was very clear with his information about the main sites to see in Alexandria. The restaurant he recommended for lunch was fab.
Definitely a thumbs up 👍 for this dynamic duo😎
