Discover the best of western Georgia during this 4-day private tour from Tbilisi. Visit the cities of Kvareli, Signagi, Bodbe, Mtskheta, Uplitsikhe, Ananuri, and Kazbegi to explore their respective historic landmarks. Listen to informative commentary from your guide about the history of Georgia at each stop to learn more about the ancient country. This tour leaves each day from your hotel in Tbilisi—not included— and includes all transportation.
What to Expect

Day 1: Arrival at Tbilisi Airport

Transfer to the hotel. Meeting with driver and guide.


After breakfast Tbilisi sightseeing tour. During the tour, go to the place that will show the old city. Take a glance at the history of the city from early centuries by walking in narrow streets of the city and exploring the religious and secular architecture. Here find different religious buildings – churches, synagogues, mosques, as well as famous 19th-century houses with wooden multi-colored balconies. Afterward, drive up to get a panoramic view of the whole city and walk down to the Narikala Fortress (4th century). Visit the sulfur bath district. Afterward, cross the Bridge of Peace - a modern glass bridge in high-tech style it's getting good panoramic views of the city. Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tbilisi-Kvareli-Signagi-Bodbe-Tbilisi

After breakfast departure to Kvareli Winery. Taste local wine and explore the culture of wine. Afterward, drive to Sighnagi city of love. Enjoy beautiful views of Alazani Valley. Walking along narrow streets. After Sighnagi admires Bodbe monastery, where is amazing view for memorable clicks? Arrival back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 3: Tbilisi-Mtskheta City-Uplitsikhe Caves-Tbilisi

After breakfast departure to Jvari monastery (6th century). Then we approach Gori and visit Uplistsikhe Cave Town (1st millennium BC). Uplistsikhe is the place where the Great Silk Road used to pass. This is an old and interesting complex with dwelling quarters, wine-cellars, bakeries, a three-nave basilica church hewn out in rock and even an antic theatre. In Gori, in a birthplace of Stalin, have a photo stop at his house and museum. Afterward, drive to Mtskheta city, the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia, see Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century) UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight in Tbilisi

Day 4: Tbilisi-Ananuri-Kazbegi-Tbilisi

After breakfast pickup from the hotel and drive to explore high mountains via Georgian Military Highway. First, stop at the Ananuri fortress 14-17th cc. The complex consists of fortifications, residential buildings of Aragvi Dukes and used to guard the country against North. The drive is very scenic as it heads up into the Great Caucasus Mountains. A stunning drive from Ananuri along the Tergi River will bring to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. In Kazbegi see Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2175 m. Weather permitting you may catch a glimpse of one of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt. Kazbegi (5047 m). Overnight in Tbilisi
