Adil was our driver for the city tour and he was amazing, he was patient and knowledgeable. We visited all the spots listed and we enjoyed all of them.
We stopped for refreshments which really helped is push through for the rest of the trip. He quickly identified that we had a passion for photographs (lol) and suggested all the best spots and even gave us an extra spot outside the regular tour. He even assisted by taking our group shots.
He was there to make sure we got the best prices when we made purchases at Souq Waqif and allowed us the time to decide on items and made suggestions without us feeling rushed. He even looked up music from our home country for the drive.
We learnt so much and had a wonderful time! Five stars for this experience with Adil.

This was my first time being in Qatar and Adil was a really great guide. He was extremely patient while waiting to pick up my friends and I from the hotel.
While driving through Qatar, he took music requests and played for us the entire drive. I appreciated that he pointed out various buildings and gave us a detailed history about each.
He took us through the Souq Waqif where we did a little shopping, he helped us figure out how to use the local currency and told us what items were reasonably priced.
My absolute favorite thing was the Karak!! Everyone needs to try this amazing tea. After the tour I tried Karak from other vendors but I have to admit that the one Adil took us to get has to be hands down the best in the city.
I'll definitely return.

We did this on our second last day of our trip. Bilal (who spoke fluent English and was very friendly!) took us to some great place with alooooot of useful information. He informed us that it was raining during the day and shops are closed during the day so we pushed the time later in the day. Every question (we asked alot) was answered perfectly. We asked what every building was (that was of significance) and he told us what it was and how it reflects on Qatar. Bilal was born and raised in Qatar so he saw it be built up. We wish we organised this sooner as we didn't see the real Qatar before this. We spent the rest of the night exploring the locations.
Highly highly recommend Bilal and this tour.

I had an 11 hour layover in Doha and signed up for this tour. My flight was an hour early and my guide, Zubair, was able to pick me up early to show me around. He is great! Very knowledgeable about the area, buildings, and culture. He is also funny. I was solo and Zubair offered to accompany me in museums and other areas, which I am grateful for. He does a great job of catering the tour to your style so you get the most out of it. I would highly recommend this tour and hope you get Zubair as your guide.

In four friends, on 7 February we made an excellent visit of over 4 hours of the city of Doha accompanied by Farhad driving a comfortable SUV.
With kindness, affability and competence he introduced us to the most interesting things of this fascinating and practical city.
Souk Waqif, The Pearl, Katara, Corniche, Museum of Islamic Arts and State Grand Mosque appeared before us like a dream .... real thanks to Farhad's beautiful presentation. We recommend it to everyone.

We had a wonderful tour with Adil, who managed to show us as much as possible in a quite compact time. He is a very knowledgeable guide who respects and is fluent in his country's history, architecture, culture, even recent developments... We went to the Cultural Village, the Yacht Harbor, Little Venice, Souq Waqif, Museum of Islamic Art... All in all, I think we made the most of our time thanks to Adil who was very attentive and considerate to our wishes!

We traveled to Doha as a party of two and had an amazing afternoon and early evening with our host and tour guide, Sharif during our "Doha: Private 4 Hours City Tour." With Sharif as our host and guide around Doha, I agree, we saved time and covered the key sights around Doha. Plus, Shariff knew where to take us to find the best deals on souvenirs and gifts when we visited the Souq Waqif. Sharif shared his knowledge of Doha with us in a way that made the tour more meaningful, interesting, and valuable. If you're just arriving in Doha, or planning a trip to Doha, I'd recommend this as one of the first tours you plan, to give you a better idea of where you may want to go and what you may want to see. Thank you Sharif for a fabulous experience and tour around Doha.

Today my partner, three year old daughter and I took a Doha city tour with Golden Adventures. Our guide, Adil, was excellent. He was very attentive and gave us a great deal of information about Doha. We visited the Museum of Islamic Art, West Bay, the Katara Cultural Centre, The Pearl and also Souq Waqif. It was a really great afternoon and the best way to see lots of the city in a short time.
Adil was fantastic, showed us so many local landmarks and was very friendly with our little one, thanks Adil!
I highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to tale a private tour in Doha - first rate experience and service.

I booked a flight with an 8 hour layover in Doha and wanted to see the city for the first time. Due to Covid, Qatar Airways was no longer offering their tours, so I looked at some other companies. I was a bit hesitant at first because I'm a solo female traveler and wasn't sure how pickup would work since flight times are never accurate. I ending up reserving a spot with Golden Adventures Qatar (and worked it out over What's App so it's pretty quick and convenient) since they did not ask for a deposit.
Although my flight was delayed getting in, this wasn't a problem, and my driver Ali picked me up from the airport with no issues. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this tour. Although I arrived in the evening and missed the museum opening, I still highly recommend this tour! We were able to hit up all the major spots in Doha in a comfortable air conditioned car, and I even got to try the local tea and shawarma. Ali is a local and spent a lot of time explaining the culture and history of Qatar. Since he knows the city so well, he took me to the areas for the best pictures. Doha is very safe, even late in the evening, and I'm so glad I was able to take this tour and experience the city in a short amount of time.

We are a group of three friends who had a stopover in Doha in the way to Europe. Our hotel, DoubleTree Doha Old Town, arranged a private 4 hr city tour for us and our guide was a very personable and energetic young man called Noman (Nomii in Arabic). While we had planned on seeing the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Arts and the Souk Waqif, Noman advised us to change our plans since it was Wednesday and the museum of Islamic Arts was closed and the souk would not be good to visit at our tour time of 9:30-1:30 as it would be too hot and most of the places in the souk would be closed until around 5 pm. Instead he took us on a thorough walk through the National Museum and explained many aspects of Qatar life and history, and then drove us all over Doha seeing the various different neighborhoods and major buildings. He also took us to the Blue Mosque in the Katara Cultural Village as it is a mosque that allows non-Muslim tourists to visit and receive a quick background on Islam from free English speaking guides. The dedication to the religion was clearly evident in the mosque guide and the mosque staff were most helpful and friendly (providing appropriate covering for women and long skirts for men wearing shorts). Noman was also an enthusiastic photographer for us and took numerous group photos of us from the best vantage points. We thought the tour was a very good one and the personal and private nature of the tour made it very adaptable to our interests and needs.
Our one issue with the tour involved payment. I had booked through the hotel and assumed I would pay the hotel as part of my hotel bill using my credit card. However it turns out the normal practice is to pay in cash or if using a credit card, the tour company had to be notified in advance so that they could bring a credit card reader machine with them. As I did not carry enough Qatar rials with me, Noman sent me a payment link on WhatsApp offering two options of payment by credit card or debit card. The debit card option states it only accepts Qatar debit cards and the credit card option failed to accept my credit card payment despite the same credit card being used successfully the day before in Doha in the taxi. I discussed this with the hotel after the tour and they assured me it would not be a problem and they and the tour company will work out something that works for us to make payment. (My friends also booked a sunset desert tour so the proposal from the hotel and the tour company is to have our credit card be used for payment in the desert where a manager would have a credit card machine). Those booking tours with the company would be well advised to clarify how payment is to be made in advance as the normal expectations of payment methods that I am used to travelling in North America, Asia and Europe do not work in Qatar.
