Retaj Rent a Car provided excellent service and good value for us. We rented a Kia automatic for 2 weeks, picking it up in Aqaba and dropping it off in Amman. The car was in excellent condition. The transactions were smooth at both ends. They picked us up at our hotel in Aqaba and again at Amman, driving us to the dropoff point at the Amman airport. We were willing to drive the car to the Amman airport on our own, so their offer to pick us up at our hotel was a bonus we did not expect. We would definitely rent from Retaj Rent a Car if we ever need to rent one again in their service area.

This was a great experience! Amer picked me up from my hotel in the morning and drove me to Petra. The ride was very comfortable and he was very professional and friendly. When we got to Petra, he took me in and helped me purchase my ticket and secure a tour guide which was very helpful. He was right where he said he’d be when I was done and he took me to get food for the ride home. He was really great. Petra was amazing. Definitely worth seeing, and something to add to your bucket list. Petra was wonderful, but the vendors are very aggressive which was off putting. The whole time you’re walking through (at least once you make it to the treasury), people are trying to get you to buy souvenirs, photos, mule rides, etc. The constant barrage of people trying to get you to buy stuff was kind of a vibe killer.

Our family had an unforgettable 2-day adventure exploring Petra and Wadi Rum! The transportation from Amman was smooth and comfortable, making the journey stress-free. Petra’s breathtaking rock-cut architecture left us in awe, and wandering through the Siq to the Treasury was magical. Wadi Rum was equally spectacular—riding through the desert in a 4x4, watching the sunset, and spending the night under a star-filled sky was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, ensuring a seamless trip. Highly recommended for families looking for adventure and history!

This is my second time engaging with the company for a mix of work and leisure purposes. I specifically requested the same driver as before, Ehab Abu Saif. I'd highly recommend Ehab and this company as they can accommodate your requests, look after you by communicating directly with your hotels/local tours/airport staff etc. and there are no hidden charges. The safety that comes with this arrangement doesn't always come with other drivers/companies.

I will start my review with the driver, as I spent nearly 9 hours with him on the trip. Abu Nasser has great taste in both appearance and speech, with practical experience that makes him one of the best people I met in Jordan. During the 8 hours spent on the road, I learned new things from him, and honestly, his company was never boring—time passed quickly due to the interesting topics we discussed. Additionally, his advice before entering Petra was invaluable, ensuring I understood everything I needed to know for the next part of the journey. As for the company I booked through, they were available at the hotel, and I compared prices with another tour company, finding them nearly the same. I booked through them, and while I was hoping they would be more enthusiastic and assist with the decision-making, I already knew what I wanted, so I selected this trip. However, as a tourist unfamiliar with the country, they should have provided detailed information about the trip, even if I didn’t ask. I mention this because an issue arose toward the end of the trip that bothered me. The trip cost 220 dinars without dinner and 250 dinars with dinner. I chose the one with dinner. Later, I was surprised when Abu Nasser asked me if I wanted the trip with dinner, to which I replied yes, as I had already booked and paid for it. After inquiring, I learned I had paid an extra 30 dinars because I would have to wait longer for dinner, which starts at 7:30 PM after sunset. This was a shock because I didn’t account for this additional charge for waiting and dinner, which wasn’t clarified upfront. I was upset about this point because they never explained this to me, and it was a new charge for my wait and dinner. Unfortunately, I was not refunded for the meal, even though I didn’t stay for dinner and returned to the hotel. I hope the company will be more careful in clarifying these points for tourists, as they might not be prepared for the additional dinner charges, assuming they have already paid and that everything was included. More details should be provided.

Maher did an amazing job; patient, knowledgeable and very nice. His driving was also very safe and timely. We enjoyed our time with him!!!

I rented a car straight from the Intercontinental hotel.l (pick up and return) for a 2-day trip to Petra. The staff was very courteous, fast and accommodating, price was competitive. I can recommend using Retaj for your tour or rental car needs.
