Your first stop will be the key site in Amman, the Citadel which went through numerous excavations which is revealed through a timeline of History. At the Citadel Visitors Center you will have the option of hiring a local guide for more of a personal tour. The Citadel allows for stunning views of downtown Amman, the Jordan flag, and the Roman Amphitheater which dates back to the 2nd century AD. Included in your ticket is a visit to the Jordan Archaeological Museum located up the hill from the entrance of the Citadel, just follow the signs.
Once you have finished from the Citadel, your driver will be waiting at the entrance to take you to the busy downtown Amman and the 6,000 year old Roman Theater. Carved into a hillside, this stunning 2nd-century structure is the most notable remnant of Philadelphia, the ancient city that once stood on the site of Amman.
Next your driver will take you uptown to Rainbow Street to the Jerusalem Falafel café, a popularstop by almost everyone visiting and living in the city. Your driver will assist with your order of a sandwich and beverage (water or soda) plus plenty of napkins. You can stand, sit or take the sandwich to go.
Next is Shawremeh Reem , famous and always busy, expect a queue but worth the wait. And our last stop en-route to your drop off will be the famous Jordanian dessert: Baklava or Knefeh to satisfy that sweet tooth at the many famous sweet shops in town!
This tasty and fun day in the City of Amman ends with a drop off at your hotel or other accommodations.
