    What to Expect
    Day 1: Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale

This morning you will be collected from the lobby of your hotel.

Depart Istanbul, driving along the north shore of the Sea of Marmara to the Gallipoli Peninsula, arriving at approximately 12:00pm. Lunch at Eceabat Maydos Restaurant & Bar. This afternoon visit Anzac Cove and the Allied Memorials of World War I, including Brighton Beach, Lone Pine Australian Memorial War Cemetery, the original tunnels and trenches at Johnston Jolly, the Nek Cemetery, and Chunuk-Bair New Zealand Memorial and Cemetery.

Late this afternoon cross the strategic straits of the Dardanelles by ferry and continue to Canakkale for overnight.

    Day 2: Troy & Canakkale

This morning visit ancient Troy. As recorded in Homer's "Illiad", the city of Troy was the home of Prince Paris. The excavations undertaken by Heinrich Schlieman in the late 1800’s, and others since, have revealed nine levels of civilization dating back to 3000BC. Today however, the most obvious landmark is a replica of the wooden Trojan horse. The afternoon return to Cannakale for a tour to visit the Naval Base, Nusrat Mine Layer, Cimenlik Castle and the Naval Museum.

    Overnight in Cannakale.

    Day 3: Canakkale – Istanbul

Further explore the historical Gallipoli battlefields visiting the landing beaches, cemetery, Pink Farm, 12 Tree Copse, Skew Bridge and V-beach at the Helles Sector. Lunch at Eceabat Maydos Restaurant & Bar. After lunch visit the sites of the Suvla sector including Suvla Bay, Scimitar Hill, Embarkation Pier NZ No. 2 Out Post, 7th Field Ambulance Cemetery, Hill 60 Cemetery & NZ Memorial, Green Hill Cemetery, Hill 10 Cemetery and Azmak Cemetery.

Depart from Cannakale at approximately 5:45pm with a stop en route for dinner (own expense) before arriving back to your Istanbul hotel at approximately 11:45pm.
