3-Day Mekong Delta Bike Tour from Ho Chi Minh City
From US$337.50

Rather than rushing around the Mekong Delta on a day trip, explore the area at a relaxed pace on a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh. A great way to escape the bustle of Saigon, this experience includes a visit to Can Tho and Cai Rang's famous floating market. Plus, traveling with a guide means you'll be party to cultural information that you may otherwise have missed out on.

What to Expect
Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long 30km+ cycling (L)
In the morning we’ll drive from HCM City to Cai Lay. From there, we’ll cycle to Cai Be. In Cai Be, we’ll take a boat trip along the mighty tributaries of the Mekong River to view the daily lives of those who work and live on the waterways of the Mekong Delta. We’ll take some time to visit the unique "floating" market at Cai Be, and see a family-run business producing rice paper - a key ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine. Lunch will be held on an island mid-river, in a local house set amongst fruit orchards and bonsai trees. Then, Vietnam Bike tours’ll enjoy a performance of traditional Vietnamese music. After lunch, Vietnam Bike Tours’ll continue riding to An Binh Island. Along the way we’ll enjoy the peaceful scenes of farmers seeding, ploughing, and harvesting their fields. We’ll stay overnight in Vinh Long.

Day 2: Vinh Long - Can Tho 50km+ cycling (B, L)
In the morning, we’ll visit craft industries and see local residents make tofu, floor tiles, and bricks. Then, we’ll ride to Can Tho and spend the afternoon at a fruit market. We’ll stay overnight in Can Tho.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City 30km+ cycling (B, L)
We’ll take a morning boat ride from the Ninh Kieu dock in Can Tho to visit the teeming floating market at Cai Rang. Then, we’ll ride on small tracks and stop at a fruit orchard to taste some of the succulent fruits of the Mekong Delta. We’ll enjoy lunch en-route to Ho Chi Minh City to end the trip.

Off the beaten track.

Amazing trip. Lam was our tour guide, he was very knowledgeable, experienced and fun to hang with. We are pretty fussy eaters, and Lam went out of his way to ensure our tastes were catered for. We biked a decent distance each day, but with...More
