Just north of Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi tunnels are a vast network of war tunnels and bunkers used by the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War. On this tour, benefit from a small group size for more attention from your guide, as you tour the tunnels and then enjoy a tasty lunch of traditional pho noodle soup.
After pickup from your hotel, travel from Ho Chi Minh City by air-conditioned minivan through the countryside to the Cu Chi tunnels. On arrival, follow your guide on a tour of the underground bunker. Learn how the tunnels stretch more than 124 miles (200 kilometers) and hear how Viet Cong soldiers used them as meeting rooms, weapons stores, sleeping quarters, and hideouts.
During the tour, you will have a chance to crawl inside the tunnels, take a photo peeking out from under one of the camouflaged trapdoors, and visit the shooting range (optional; own expense).
Savor a lunch of either traditional pho noodle soup or a Vietnamese-style baguette sandwich, before drop-off at your Ho Chi Minh City hotel.
