Overview
The rivers, villages, and markets of the Mekong Delta make it a must for witnessing rural Vietnamese life. This 2-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City gives you more time to explore than a day trip and lets you visit Cai Rang floating market at its early-morning busiest. Cruise rivers and canals; view workshops, villages, and more; and enjoy great value with an overnight hotel stay, lunches, and more included.
What to Expect
Leave your Ho Chi Minh City hotel by air-conditioned coach bound for the Mekong Delta, the farming heartland of South Vietnam. After about two hours, arrive and head for Ben Tre, home to a maze of lush islands and riverside hamlets.

Visit a village for an insight into local life and culture, and sample home-grown tropical fruit and honey tea, made in the villagers' beehives. Listen to traditional south Vietnamese music and then ride a hand-rowed sampan along tranquil canals to soak in the scenery and peace.

Next, visit a workshop to see how coconut candy is made and sample some of the sweets. Then, sail to an orchard restaurant for a local lunch before taking another boat to the bustling port of My Tho.

Step ashore here to visit the ornate Vinh Trang Pagoda before your return road trip to Ho Chi Minh City, where a hotel drop-off ends your tour.
