Mekong Delta Insight Tour - Deluxe Group Tour
US$47.00
Overview
Planning an independent day trip from Ho Chi Minh to the Mekong Delta can be difficult on your own, especially when it comes to transportation. This tour takes you deep into the region for boat, rickshaw, and walking tours that reveal local life. You’ll visit villages, orchards, and coconut and brick-making workshops, enjoy an included riverside lunch, and have plenty of time for questions in your small group.
What to Expect
After pickup at your Ho Chi Minh hotel, travel to Ben Tre on the Mekong Delta by air-conditioned minivan.

On arrival, take a cruise along the River Ham Luong and visit various local workplaces. See bricks made by hand at a brickworks studio, watch as coconuts are turned into foodstuffs and products at a factory—perhaps sampling some fresh coconut—and visit a weaving house to view mats being worked at hand looms, with the opportunity to try weaving yourself.

Then, delve into daily life in the delta as you explore a quiet village and ride a xe loi motorized rickshaw around fruit orchards. Visit a riverfront restaurant to lunch on staples such as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, and finally, ride a rowing sampan along narrow canals to enjoy the scenery.

After another boat ride, your trip ends at the original Ho Chi Minh starting point.

I can’t paste a website link on here, it won’t let me. But google ‘A Travel Mate’ and you’ll find the details. If I remember they’re not the best at replying to emails though.
