Elena was the most amazing street food tour guide. We had amazing conversations about the food we were eating, as well as her backstory and the general culture of Hanoi. All of the food was exquisite and we are so glad to have gone with such a knowledgeable guide, because we would never have found half of the amazing places without Elena’s expertise. The tour was paced exceptionally and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is new to the city of Hanoi or Vietnamese food in general!

The tour offered a lot of delicious foods and we were full by stop 4 or 5. Elena was sweet and provided information on the restaurants and the food being eaten. Def recommend coming on an empty stomach! It lasts from 10:45am to 2pm but doesn’t feel long or rushed. It was a good activity.

In June 2022, we booked a 14 day private Vietnam tour for 6 people with Kensington Tours. Kevin Smith was our agent. He was fantastic and our English speaking guide (Hung) was awesome. We had a great time touring Hanoi, the surrounding countryside and a Hai Long Bay cruise. After 3 days we then we flew to DaNang where we were met by our English speaking guide (Le Viet Lap and our driver Vu) and stayed at the La Siesta hotel in Hoi An. Very nice hotel. We toured the city, had clothes made and took many pictures. After 3 days we departed by private air conditioned van to Hue City via the Hai Van Pass where I was wounded in 1968 after surviving the fierce battles during TET in Hue. Many memories of friends and fellow Marines who killed or wounded. We flew from Hue to Saigon and were met with our new English speaking guide and driver. Our private tour has been awesome and we highly recommend Kensington Tours.

This good tour is a must do! Elena was a sweet, personable, and knowledgeable guide. She really took the time to explain the different ingredients, how foods were prepared, and even some history. Everything seemed to be in close proximity, so the walking in-between stops was easy. Everything we ate was delicious and authentic. 10/10 highly recommend. I suggested that they add a "sweets/desert tour"... I would definitely come back for that one too :)

I lived the tour! I did the tour with Apple, she was very professional and courteous. I got to see a lot of food that would be really hard to find as a foreigner. The food was delicious and value for money, definitely will recommend to my friends and family💯

Apple was a great guide for our tour in English. We tasted so many wonderful dishes that are unique to or originated from Hanoi, such as bun cha, mung and coconut filled donuts, glass noodle and river crab soup, sticky rice cakes, bahn coun (steamed rice pancake filled with mushrooms and shrimp), bahn mi and egg coffee stand out as highlights. Apple explained each dish and showed us how to eat it. She also pointed out interesting sights I the city during our walking tour between the various stops and explained her life and culture to give us a much better understanding of what it is like to live in Vietnam. She was very engaging and answered all of our questions in very understandable English. I highly recommend Apple as a guide.

Apple was a great guide. She was knowledgeable about not only the food but also the old city of Hanoi. She also shared some interesting Vietnamese cultural tidbits with us. We did a private your because my friend had dietary restrictions, and Apple was very considerate and conscientious about the dietary restrictions. I had done an evening group tour with Hanoi Street Food tours years ago and liked it, which is why I decided to book the private tour through them. We had some really nice dishes like banh cuon rice pancake, Vietnamese doughnuts from the best place in town, banh chung - the sticky rice cakes that are eaten over Tet, Bun Cha - a famous dish of Hanoi, plus egg coffee - another famous Hanoi creation at a place that does it properly without adding condensed milk (egg coffee was an invention to replace milk when it was scarce and expensive), and some other delicious food. Apple carefully explained each dish, including the history of some of them. She was also super friendly and easy to talk to work excellent English. After two successful food tours with Hanoi Street Food Tours, I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a food tour.

Very informative and entertaining tour with guide Apple through the old town of Ha Noi. I booked this tour on short notice on the recommendation of my guide via WhatsApp and since no one else participated, I received a private tour. My guide Apple was able to tell me many things about Vietnam and it was a very good mood. The food shown was authentic and delicious. After the tour she wrote down the food shown and gave me more tips. I am completely satisfied. This tour offers at least as much as the street food tour of many Instagram influencers for several times the price.

Excellent tour led by Sarah who make it great fun and informative. We learned plenty along the way whilst trying a variety of street foods. Would highly recommend as a way to try food, get a different experience of the city and to be led by an expert friendly guide

The tour was really interesting as there are so many places to eat in Hanoi and it is hard to choose, especially when there is no English traduction and you don’t know what to order, how to order, and how to eat properly. It allowed us to taste many local dishes, some were surprising ! All were very good. Our guide was Apple and she was very kind and funny, and told us lots of things about local food, traditions, the city. We had a very good time !
