        Likely Not Running Anymore
There was no contact number for the tour and nobody showed up at either my hostel or the appointed meeting location and BonBon, the main company, had no information about the coffee tour when I called them directly. Went to the locations listed on the itinerary by myself and did not run into a tour group the entire day. Would recommend just planning a list of cafes to visit on your own.

        Amazing choice!
We were on our last day in Hanoi and this tour was exceptional. The information was told in wonderful way by the greatest guy ever - Tung. He told me that his grandfather used to fight in the Vietnam War, so he knew a lot of interesting stories that no one could tell. Love this!

        An eye-opening trip!
One of my friend who had already gone on this tour recommended it for me. I've never thought of taking a tour in Vietnam, but this one is worth it. Before that, I only knew about the Vietnam War through history course book, but in this tour I learnt a lot about the facts and perspective of Vietnamese people. Our tourguide Mon was also very communicative and knowledgeable. This is a must if are into history and wars!

        Memorable trip
I had amazing experience with this service. The tourguide 'Dudie' or 'Trung' made me engaged in the unbelievable history of Vietnam. I had a deep impression about incredible things Vietnamese had done to protect their country. Thanks for warm welcome, awsome service and all excellent memories.

Great information, great food, great bus decoration, great guide, Great tour! For a guy who doesn’t know anything about history the tour is a chance for me to discover about the war from the Vietnamese perspective. Everything was planed to details and i couldn’t be more enjoyable. Thanks Bonbon for this experience and thanks Dudi for answered all my questions. Keep up the good work!

Incredible way to experience Vietnam history!
I have read a lot of documents about Vietnam war but this experience gave me a completely surprising point of view. My guide was super friendly and knowledgable, he took me through the timeline of the main two wars to see people life and the difference between classes. The unique thing i've got after the trip was that I felt like living in the past again, in a local lens. Highly recommended and you're gonna be amazed at Vietnamese courage and solidarity!

Best tour to learn about Vietnam's culture!
Many thanks to Shawn - our guide and the whole team behind creating this amazing tour. Shawn guided us to Tran Quoc pagoda, Quan Thanh Temples and some other temples and communal houses (sorry for my short-term memory lol). This one is definitely not a lesson to be honest! We have just spent some times together and sharing stories about religions and beliefs. I joined the tour with other tourists from other coutries so not only did I learn about Vietnamese cultures but also others. With a reasonable price, I have nothing more to wish for. Highly recommend!

Great way to explore my home country's history!
My guide was Anh (Rachel). She was friendly and presentable and during the whole tour, she wanted to get to know my perspective as well. A very promising young woman! The experience through 4 landmarks was amazing. I learnt a lot about the modern history of Vietnam through two major wars. Got some perspectives that I'd never had before. Highly recommended !

        Suprising Tour about Vietnamese History
Totally recommended. They made museums visit interesting. We went through the history of Vietnamese hardship & rise through their strength. I love it when they re-enact the scenario of detecting the US bomber in the underground room. As a local Hanoian, I am amazed that the tour can make me feel like a total stranger when talking about the city history. I learn a lot more than what I been taught in school.

Grasping the whole modern history of Vietnam within a morning
Dudi was not only an accommodating guide but also made museums such a fun place to be. The hands-on activities made such a topic as wartime a lot more relatable. My favorite part was in T1 Bunker where I could see it vividly what it was like when the B52s started raiding in Hanoi.

WELL-DESIGNED JOURNEY TO LEARN ABOUT VIETNAM HISTORY!
t was an amazing experience. The team was so young and very talented. The way they tell the stories of Vietnamese contemporary history through the well-known Vietnam Wars was beyond my expectations and I were totally engaged! Love it!

Great way to explore Hanoi with a theme
I was on a trip solo and came across this tour on Facebook. Did it with another group of Canadians, Malaysians so at first I thought it would be ăkward, but to my surprised, Anh, our guide did extremely well to make us feel connected and engaged the whole tour. Loved the way the team put thoughtful details, interactions and funny stories together to get us a new perspective on the Vietnam War. Well done BonBon, highly recommend this unique experience and glad to have made new friends!

What an amazing tour about Vietnamese religions!!!!
Tung was AMAZING!!!! I've barely had knowledge about Vietnamese religions and beliefs until I took this tour! Tung leaded us through most of important religious spots in Hanoi and he was super confident about everything he shared. Some new friends, whom I newly made through this tour, and I were very lucky to have a chance meeting up with Tung's grandma when he took us to her home inside a complex of the OQ. She was so hospital and she also told us a lot of myths and stories about the authentic life of Hanoians. One more thing, I had already had a bit knowledge about how to use the film camera, however after the tour, I still learnt a lot of new tips as what were differences among the different brands of film roll, or how to adjust 3 major functions efficiently with different types of light. Super recommended if you're a film camera lover and also interested in spiritual stories!!!

The best educational and historical tour in Hanoi
I'm so glad that I booked this tour for me and my boyfriend during his short trip in Hanoi. Honestly I've never had any WOW experience like this tour before even though I am a local and so far been in Hanoi for 7 years. My boyfriend shared the same feeling with me, as an American has learnt about the Vietnam war before, through this tour, he gained so much information with multiple perspectives, authentic stories, and social background of Vietnam in the 20th century (like the deeper reasons for everything during 2 biggest wars in Vietnam in this period). I would say the whole tour was excellent but the parts we enjoyed the most were the model of the Dien Bien Phu battlefield inside the Vietnam military history museum and 2 bunkers inside the Thang Long citadel, those showed the sophisticated, sagacious, and flexible strategy of the Vietnam military. So if you ask us would we recommend this tour, HELL YEAH! Absolutely worthy! P/s: after the tour, Ho Chi Minh and General Giap have become my boyfriend's idols LOL.

I chanced upon their bus tour which I truly enjoyed. It was informative and interesting to see some of the ancient sites and museums along the way. And you can hop on & off for a duration of 24hrs or more, depending on the pass purchased. I've experienced 5 tour ambassadors for the 2 days of hopping on & off, and all of them are extremely pleasant, well-educated, well-trained and passionate about showing and introducing their history and culture throughout the journey. I was so impressed that I joined the film tour after that. It is only one of their many beautiful products available for a good historical experience in Hanoi. Picture taken on film instead of the cellphone turns out so different, with nicer colour & depth to it. And it's so pleasantly & professionally covered on the old quaters route. I just can't praise them enough for the effort the ambassadors has put in, and would highly recommend Bon Bon's lovely tour products to anyone who truly wants to know more of Hanoi, and Vietnam on the whole. Best of luck to their team & looking forward to return someday soon!

Me and my friend are recommended to experience this tour and it was completely worth it!! I dont consider myself as a local because Hanoi has many hidden germs i hadnt known tho i’ve been living here for over 20 years. We had chances to get to know more about film photography and took many aesthetic pics in the old quarter. The guides were caring and very helpful, we actually became friends after the trip lol 😂 So if you are bored of common ways to visit a city, this tour would give you an absolutely unique experience 👏👏👏

Growing up, I saw my parents used film cameras and it was a pity it became forgotten and labelled 'vintage' as it got replaced with digital cameras. Nonetheless, I signed up with huge anticipation and I was not let down.

I took a short walk to Little Plan Café with my tour guide, Son. I was then introduced to the film camera and how to use it and got some practice at taking some shots of the interior of the café.

After which I was brought around the streets and introduced about the history of how the streets got its name and also tidbits about how people used to live. It was a very light-hearted tour.

What impressed me most was the opportunity to visit the old mansion and current living spaces of 2 homes. They were hidden gems that one would actually simply pass by because the alleys were so unassuming. I got an extended tour by the owner of the homes themselves (was really blessed that the owners were home). I got to see how intricate the architecture was and how each stone and feature in the home was for a purpose.

During the tour, I got to try out some local desserts and coffee.

Son (my tour guide) was a promising young chap who is passionate about learning and sharing about preserving the past of Hanoi. I also got to know a little more about his life on the tour and it was certainly impressive that he is able to manage studies, work and maintain social life.

As the tour ended a little early and I had another schedule much later, he offered to bring me to the place where the photo was developed. Days later, he even went to collect the film roll and made arrangements with me to pass it to me. I'm very grateful for the additional help he has given. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide. Son also takes groups on other of the rewind tours, which are also great so you could find him on one of those tours as well.

This tour is uniquely amazing. I attended it yesterday 20/12/19.
Very fortunate to have Jessica as the guide.
She is friendly, patient, accommodating and generous.
I feel privilege to use her personal camera for the tour.
She was attentive and approachable the whole time.

In depth sharing of history of Hanoi cultural and history, which is important to get the best photographs frame..

      Would definitely recommend it.

Hanoi is over thousand year old city. therefore, there're plenty spots for amazing pictures. That said, film tour offered me a new look of this city. The guide took me to places, i've never seen before. There, i had the best photos i ever probably took. Aside from photo, i got to experience the stories and history of every location. That was an amazing experience.

It was an unexpectedly amazing experience for me as a beginner using a film camera.
We had coffee and took film photography simultaneously. After that, we tried different types of egg coffee from the original to the modern, which is a typical drink you cannot miss when you visit Ha Noi and enjoy the story behind that tasty and frothy coffee. Moreover, we also can discover all the little special nooks and crannies with the memories, and history of ancient Ha Noi. Having the chance to use an old film camera to see the beautiful architect and document the stories was an appropriate traditional lens instead of our modern eyes. This tour will change your impression about modern, hectic Ha Noi city life.
