Our tour guides Ruby and Billie were very warm, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic as they introduce different authentic Viatnamese cuisines! Everything that we tried tastes delicious and I would like to also add that Ruby’s excellent English speaking skills helped us appreciate the tour better. Private food tour in Hanoi, Hoi An village with boats, cycling, farming and cooking class, My Son & Marble Mountains tour from Hoi An , Mekong Delta day trip from HCMC and evening scooter tour in HCMC. Lana helped us organise things and was extremely helpful and very professional. All the trips have been brilliant. I highly recommend this company for your trips in Vietnam. - Samantha W0 contributionsFun and tasty cooking classDevin was the best host. He took us to the market to buy ingredients, then we went back to Maya kitchen to prep and cook the ingredients. The class was fun and easy, they accommodated us being vegetarians and we used king oyster mushrooms instead of meat which was amazing! I would highly recommend this activity as a fun way to spend a morning and then eat loads of freshly made traditional Vietnamese dishes. We made the mistake of eating breakfast before we did the class, I wouldn’t recommend doing as you get to eat so much!Written 14 January 2025

I went on the trip in early January. Sapa was colder compared to the sea side of course but still beautiful! When we arrived at the village, a lot of people went to homestays. My reservation was with a hotel however I wanted to change and the team arranged this for me there and then. Overall the customer support was great over the entire trip! The price is also really good compared to what you find in Hanoi on the streets offered by various tour agents. Strongly reccomend!

Amazing! Would Highly recommend the tour for others. Brian was amazing to work with and incredibly attentive to our needs. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and felt comfortable. I would only recommend this tour for individuals who are physically fit and firm on their feet. The second day entailed a long hike through the hillside. Khu (our guide) was amazing and I would request to work with her if I were you. The only issue we had was with bus drivers but Brian was prompt to help us out and get things set straight.

Beautiful day and a half excursion with the Hmong guide Ai and 7 people walking from town to town next to the rice fields, the river, the mountains and entering the bamboo forest. Less touristy than expected.
The River view homestay in the town of Te Van is a great new simple house next to the river, very delicious dinner made by the mother, lovely family, the father speaks English very well, he learned it at his parents' homestay with the tourists. The excursion was wonderful!!
The worst: the 'luxury limousin' van had 3 seats in the last row that were NOT comfortable and cost the same price as the comfortable ones. Also all the seat belts were broken, 5 and a half hours from Hanoi to Sapa two of us behind without comfort or safety!!
But the excursion was wonderful!! Trekking boots are essential due to the mud, and a stick is better, it only rained at night.

Pros
1. Very timely interaction setting up the your and answering any questions
2. Sapa is beautiful
3. Our guide Kho was sweet and would give us information when we talk. Else, busy talking to other local women who join us during the trip… they will ambush you to buy something later
Cons:
1. Drivers both ways were not good. No interaction and no water was passed both ways. When asked for water bottle, I was told to buy. When I whatsapped with tour operator, I was told that it had been communicated to the driver to hand water bottles but that never happened,
2. During the trip to Sapa, the driver was forcing 2 women to sit in the front. They were confused but they stood their ground saying they want to sit in the back where the seats were comfortable. Later, he went around to pick up another couple and the man refused to get in since it was front seat. It looked like they were not in any tour… but he was trying to fill up seats
3. The van to sapa had almost no leg room except for the front row. The van coming back was very comfortable but none of the charging ports worked
4. Homestay - the room window wouldn’t close because of poor construction - had 2 inch opening. Next morning woke up with severe sore throat and later in the day with temperature.

We had a great time in Sapa on the trekking trip organised by crossing Vietnam Tour. First of all, before I book the trip to Sapa, Brian has been responsive and attentive in answering all my queries. When we were in Sapa, we were received by Nam who is a gentle and pleasant person. He helped to arrange our accommodation and meals when we would like to change some of the itineries in the package. During the trekking trip, we met Lily who is the tour guide. She is a bubbly and energetic lady who provides informative details of the various tribes and their livelihood. She also follows closely with everyone to ensure all is well and safe. Her cheerful character has liven up the entire trip, making it a memorable and happy trekking journey despite being a tough one.

The organization of the trip was very good. The food was delicious as well as the trekking. The hotel room with spectacular view was nice. The only problem was after the sleeping bus dropped us off at Hanoi on the second day: it was nobody there who would deliver us to our hotels! Therefore, we had to walk. That is unacceptable as the tour advertises drop off at the hotel.

The scenery and people of Sapa were amazing.
I booked this tour because I wanted to go to Cat Cat Village.
Cat Cat Village is also listed on the itinerary for day 1.
However, we did not actually go to Cat Cat Village.
When you go to the accommodation page from the tour page, a different itinerary was listed in small letters, and that was the tour content for this time.
Refunds are not accepted.
If you want to go to Cat Cat Village, please be careful when booking.
The three stars are for the tour company, not Sapa.

Hi Ueura,
Thank you so much for using our service!
I would like to clarify the situation as below: As you booked the option "Homestay", the itinerary would be like this:
Day 1: Limousine van Hanoi to Sapa
Ý Linh Hồ - Lao Chải - Tả Van
Overnight at homestay
Day 2: Giàng Tà Chải
Limousine van Sapa-Hanoi
Therefore, there was no Cát Cát Visiting in your Sapa Trip. If you booked the option "3*/4* Hotel", you would have a chance to visit it. We noted the itinerary well in the options, maybe you missed it out!
I hope you can understand for it.
Regards,
Harley.

After we traveled all over Vietnam in recent weeks and had planned all the bookings and outings ourselves, we had one this time
decided to completely outsource our last trip to Sapa. Apart from a few minor start-up problems, it went well. In summary, we had a few wonderful days in Sapa and the surrounding area. Our guide Ai was wonderful, sweet and full of energy. told a lot about the people, the food and the environment. Highly recommended! We were very lucky with the weather so we could enjoy beautiful views and nature. The hiking was great, via small mountain paths, various villages, bamboo forests, Cat Cat Village we even reached places that are less touristy. All in all we are happy that we went to Sapa. The only point of criticism is the price/quality ratio. If I did it like that again, I would arrange it myself.

Sapa is a really beautiful place and we had an amazing time, but it wouldn't be the same without our guide Khu! She is the best! She is very friendly, funny, cute, informative. Being Black Hmong herself, she told us many interesting stories about their fascinating culture and tradition, she showed us their traditional clothing and how it is made, how their houses looks like, how their everyday lives look like, how they are using traditional medicine to heal headaches, colds, etc... The hike through the rice terraces was an unforgettable experience. At the end we were sad that we had to leave and we would have loved to stay at least one more day in Sapa. We highly recommend this tour and of course we highly recommend Khu as a guide!

Our guide Ai picked us up from the hotel and we trekked for approximately 12km on day 1 through 3 different villages. The paths were very rough and “natural” which we preferred; however if you’re not physically fit with good balance then it could be quite challenging. Make sure you have footwear with good traction. Everyone that wore running shoes instead of grippy hiking boots seemed to struggle.
The hike was beautiful. Loved seeing all of the nature and animals. Ai was very knowledgeable and friendly, we really enjoyed our conversations with her. Would recommend.

Would it be possible to take up the option to stay in Ta Van Village on the second night and return to Hanoi the next day? If so, how much extra will this cost or do we organise the home stay ourselves
Written 4 August 2019
Hi Catherine!
When I was looking for activities in SaPa, I did come across 2 night in SaPa. It included a night stay in ta van village too. If I remember it correct the package was around 90USD. But sorry I did not research much on it and not sure what's included. I am sure there are many tour organiser who would do it. Jenny from vieatnam crossing tour should be able to help you. She was very helpful when I travelled.
Also I would suggest carrying a pair of shoes with good grip, coz if it rains the trail is very slushy.
Regards
Kiran
