What to Expect
After pickup from your Hanoi hotel, travel by air-conditioned bus through the scenic countryside of the Red River Delta and Ninh Binh Province. The first stop of the day is Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s 10th-century capital, where you’ll have chance to admire the ancient temples and monuments dating from the Le and Dinh dynasties. After lunch at a local restaurant, set sail on a boat cruise along the Ngo Dong River, and marvel at the stunning landscapes, lined with karst rock formations, caves, and grottos. Stop at Tam Coc to discover the magnificent cave complex and then set out to explore the surrounding countryside by bike. On the leisurely bike ride, cycle along country lanes, past lush rice paddies and rural villages, and stop to visit the cave temples of Bich Dong Pagoda. Your tour ends with drop-off back at your Hanoi hotel.

You get you pay for. The seats were tight in a small bus packed to the brim. Other than that the tour was fun.
