        Relaxing and enjoyable
Totally met my expectation! The guide Lee (Touring Center) was very courteous, friendly and attentive to my needs. The pacing of the tour or schedule was perfect and relaxing. I was not rushed to go from one place to another but when needed the guide would remind me way ahead of time which made the whole tour very easy. The location of the attraction is close to each other. There are a lot of sites to see along the way so the trip was not boring. I loved the door to door service - pick up and drop off at my hotel!

A Great Way to Visit Chiang Rai
I joined the group tour from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and it was a great experience. Although it was a long day, the company broke up the drives with multiple interesting stops. The White Temple is what I was there to see, and we got plenty of time there for the many photos I took. So worth the long journey! Lunch was nice - on the top deck of a traditional wood restaurant in the lush jungle - a variety of Thai dishes served family-style with the option to buy a cold beer, which I did. The boat ride was short but pleasant. Our guide Bee was awesome - friendly, organized and informative, passionate about sharing her culture.

        A Tour of Happiness
What a great tour! We did the full day tour to Chiang Rai visiting Thaweesin Hot Spring, the White Temple, Chiang Saen, the Golden Triangle & The Opium Museum. Paul was our Tour Guide and not only described what we were about to see but also spoke about the History behind it, and about the culture, and about the food. He was very knowledgeable about Thailaind and it was refreshing for us. He also made our day lighter by throwing in a few jokes to make it easier for us. Couldn't have asked for a better tour, we had enough time for everything.

        Fresh air, Friendly guide
My husband and I signed up for a small group tour with Ekk but the other participants ended up canceling so we were treated to a private tour. Ekk was very energetic and warm from the beginning. Everywhere he went, he made others laugh. He definitely knows this tour and has made many friends on every stop. The highest point, itself, doesn’t have much of a view but the air was crisp and fresh. On the nature walk, Ekk pointed out several birds so it turned into a birdwatching tour. The twin pagodas were nice. We went to the King side first and had to hurry through the Queen side. I would suggest to save time for the Queen’s side as there is a pretty garden on her end. Lunch was delicious. We had a reserved table with fresh food by the trees and stream. The Hmong market was nice with free samples. If you walk a little further down, some stalls have cheaper prices (by 20 baht) for the same products. We loved it all but really enjoyed our stroll around the Karen village. We had local dog companions and got to see all the animals of the village. The coffee and tea sampling was also nice. My husband bought a few bags of coffee as gifts. The last stop was the waterfall. It was really pretty and refreshing with the mist. The walkway could get slippery and muddy at some points so I recommend good gripped shoes. Overall, we enjoyed the day tour with Ekk and would recommend others to go, too.

Doi Suthep + Hmong tribe (4 hours day trip)
We had the trip with Aom as tour guide, she has been very kind, precise and gentle with us (as the driver but unfortunately don't remember the name). We went to visit firstly the Hmong Village, when she explained us the culture and showed us the plantation. Higly recommended view from the coffe spot (I'd recommend tasting the espresso and wearing long sleeves shirt since is quite high). Then we went to Doi sutep temple, a wonderful gem, definitely worth for the precious stairs (not so long to hike), and siddartha stories and Buddas. Aom has been a fantastic tour guide all the time. 5 star. Recommend this tour if you have not more than 2 days in Chiang mai!

        Beautiful trip up Doi Suthep!!
Our guide, Ohm, was incredible and very knowledgeable! This trip was my favorite thing in Chiang Mai. Visiting the Mong Hill Village was beautiful! The people are kind and the view was lovely. We went to a little coffee shop and it was the best coffee I've ever tasted! The temple we visited was incredible as well. We walked up about 300 steps and it was exhausting, but wonderful! (There's a lift as well, if you don't want to walk) So organized and a must visit in Chiang Mai!

We loved our tour with Paul. He was great & informative - such a beautiful soul! The driver was also lovely. He catered the tour for us, as my Nan is elderly & can’t do a lot of walking up stairs etc. he made her feel comfortable. Thanks for sharing the thai culture with us.

Tour guide Pookie is the best!
Pookie, our tour guide, was one of the nicest people we met during our time in Thailand. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. We started with a visit to the Hmong village before it got too crowded and enjoyed some Hmong coffee at the mountaintop. Then we went over to the temples where she talked us through some of the history of Buddhism. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a good tour and I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience Doi Suthep without stress.

        Amazing Tour Company & Guide
Well worth a booking if this is your first time in Thailand. Our guide “Aom” had only been conducting tours for a year but she was extremely knowledgable and one of the kindest, most genuine & sincere people we have ever had the privilege of meeting. The tour itself was fascinating and they manage to pack a lot into one day! The tour picked us up outside our hotel and were happy to slightly adjust our pick up time to enable us to have breakfast. We then had a drive to our first stop whereby Aom explained what we would be doing that day and a little bit about Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The rest of the day went seamlessly and we were very happy and impressed with everyone that was a part of it-Aom, our driver, Aom’s supervisor, the beautiful restaurant we had lunch in and the coffee shop breaks we had along the way- 100% recommend this tour company. Tour guide and driver were very good. Van was comfy and always had fresh water. We went to Hmong Village which was more shopping than cultural but great fresh coffee and bead bracelets made to order. Temple was excellent recommend taking lift up if bad knees or hips. Always a fantastic temple to visit.

        Great tour with Mr. Nong
We went on the temple and city tour with Mr. Nong. It was private tour and he picked us up with a driver from our hotel. They were polite and professional and provided cold water and towels after each stop. Mr. Nong was a wealth of knowledge and provided an excellent tour through three temples and one museum. We felt like we really got to know Chiang Mai and it’s history and the importance of Buddhism to the Thai people. Would recommend 100%.

The trip to the Golden Triangle takes 4.5 hours one way, so it is pretty long. This would have been OK if the tour guide explained things on the way like what towns we were going through, what is the area known for, etc. Instead we had 4.5 hours of silence. On the way, we stopped at the White Temple - often shown on adds for the tour. This one is not worth the visit in my opinion, but I guess, it is interesting as a piece of contemporary art. It was super crowded, a tourist trap, where all operators make a stop. The second stop was at some hot springs. This was interesting, especially one of the springs is quite large, but we only got 15 minutes there, barely enough for a bathroom stop. Lunch was OK in a beautiful setting, but seemed a bit far from everything. Finally, at the golden triangle, we again had only a few minutes, barely enough to snap a photo. We could see a city in Laos, on the other side of the Mekong river, the guide had no idea which one it was, I had to google it myself. She also did not say much about the region's history, opium trade, etc. Then another 4.5 hour-drive with 30 min stop at the Baan Dam Museum, which is worth visiting albeit a bit controversial. Overall, not worth the long drive from Chiang Mai, it may be better if you visiting this area anyway.

My wife, and I (elderly couple 76 & 66) took a small group tour to Chiang Rai on 23rd Jan and were completely put off by arrogance and unhelpfulness of our guide, May. She was accompanied by a friend whom she introduced as a trainee. May came to pick us up from Empress Hotel, and did not even greet us - something unusual and unheard of in Thailand.
We were offered seats in the last row of the 9 seater van. The seats were very uncomfortable and bumpy. My wife requested the guide to exchange her seat with her trainee friend sitting in a comfortable seat in front row but she flatly refused.

Throughout the tour, May hardly explained anything; was busy chatting with her friend or a couple sitting in friend. She was hardly audible at the back. The situation did not improve even when requested to speak louder. It appeared her knowledge of the sight seeing places was very limited. She could hardly answer questions.

We started our tour at 7 am and were taken to a restaurant for lunch at 2pm while normal lunch hour in Thailand starts at 12 noon. The pretext that the place would be crowded before 2pm was false. When we reached the restaurant we did not see a single diner or any evidence of a crowded place. In fact, our food was already laid on the table, cold and covered with flies. We refused to eat and insisted on fresh, hot food.

Guide May had no sense of timing. We were expected to be back to Chiang Mai latest by 8pm, but reached well past 9pm - dead tired and disappointed with the lack of professionalism and misconduct of a bad guide of a good tour agency.

Mr. M, our tour guide, gave our group so much useful information on the trip! He was kind and attentive and made this long day of touring a wonderful experience. He used the time on the road to explain Thai customs and facts about Buddhism. There are a lot of moving parts to this tour, and every aspect went perfectly. Mr. M made sure the other vegetarian and I had plenty of meat-free food at lunch, and both he and the driver worked hard at making every part of the tour the very best.

During my Chiang Mai stay I really wanted to visit the attractions in the Chiang Rai area. Signed up for a 1500 baht day tour but ended up regretting it. Except for the White Temple, everything else that was part of the tour was not worth the 13 hour van ride, two hours of which were spent riding through road construction on bumpy, humpy roads. Had a bad lower back ache after that ride!

The long neck exhibit, hot springs ( hot water bubbling up in the parking lot of a tourist trap with shops) and boat ride or visit to the Golden Triangle are not worth the effort and money. Find another way to get to Chiang RaI and avoid the usual tourist traps except for the White Temple..

What a day....words are difficult to find to express our feelings about the sights we saw and the level of service delivered. This day was the stand out trip of our tour around Thailand to date. Many thanks to our guide, Aom, and I'm sorry I can't remember our drivers name, for their care and patience in delivering a 1st class very informative service. We visited the site of hot springs, the very magical WhiteTemple, boat trip along the Mekong river bordering Laos and Myanmar, and a visit to the Opium museum. Included was a very tasty Thai lunch...yum..On the drive back we stopped at a wonderful coffee shop, coffee included in trip price, but a must have for cake lovers are the selection of home made cakes, they are fantastic, highly recommend the coconut cream and strawberry cream in particular. The coffee beans come from there own farm at the back of the coffee shop. Fantastic.
This was a fantastic, although long day, very many thanks to all the team.

We loved this 13 hour tour through Northern Thailand where we visited the White Temple, Opium Museum (interesting) and took a boat ride to the confluence of the three countries in the Golden Triangle. Our guide (Ponkie) was funny and so informative. She gave an introduction of the itinerary and along the way information regarding the next stop and wrapped it up with a review and concluding remarks. (I think she might have been a teacher in another life). While there were periods of long driving times, the scenery was beautiful. There were stops for coffee and hot springs to break up the drive as well. The van was incredibly comfortable and driver, Ken top top notch!

Very well organised day trip. Communication was excellent. Bee was a great, friendly guide who provided us with all the necessary info and would gladly take some pictures of you.

The white temple is absolutely stunning and the 700 y/o stupa at Chiang Saen was simply amazing, plus we were the only tourists there and got to enjoy a tranquil, spiritual moment. The unexpected highlight of the day was the visit to the triple border of Thailand, Laos and Myan Mar, boat ride on the Mekong river included.

We took the optional breakfast, which was simple, but well put together with care. The trip included an amazing lunch at a scenic restaurant with delicious thai dishes and a coffee break on the way back. No extra fees were charged anywhere along the trip.

Would definitely recommend this day trip! Do be ready to travel 8 hours in one day though, but the minivan is very comfortable and spacious (and I'm 1m93 tall)!
