What to Expect
Your day trip begins with pickup from your Bangkok hotel, where you board a vehicle destined for Damnoen Saduak. Upon arrival, transfer to a long-tailed boat and speed through marshes and past atmospheric stilt houses. En route, stop at a coconut candy farm to learn about coconut sugar production and to sample sweet candies. At the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and receive a comprehensive introduction to its culture and history. Cruise past floating stalls selling fresh produce and exotic fruits while your guide explains the origin and use of particularly unique ingredients along the way. For an additional cost, you can purchase souvenirs and opt to take a ride on a local boat. After sufficient exploration of the market, return to your Bangkok hotel via boat and bus.
