This monastery is famous for celebrating the Mani Rimdu festival, a huge Buddha statue, and intricate wall paintings. Located amidst the Sagarmatha National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site of "outstanding universal value”), it is draped with the panoramic 360-degree view of the Himalayas, including Mt. You hike up the Imja Khola to Chhukung or Nagarzhang Peak, a small summer settlement from where stunning views of Island Peak, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and the fluted ice walls flanking the Amphu Lapcha pass can be seen. These views are one of the highlights of the entire trek. Short hike to the hill behind Dingboche is another option which provides you with the view of a couple of six thousanders. Overnight in Dingboche.
    Duration: 1 day 9 hours

Hiking along the Khumbu Glacier you reach Lobuche, which presents spectacular views of Nuptse. On the way, you see an array of stones with prayer flags used as memorials to Scott Fischer (American mountaineer) and a 10-time Everest summiteer Babu Chiri Sherpa (a Nepalese mountain guide), who unfortunately perished on a mission to climb the Everest. The trail then continues to the Khumbu Glacier moraine where you find yourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Pumori, and Mahalangur. Overnight in Lobuche.
    Duration: 6 hours

    Meals included:
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
    Accommodation included: Himalayan Eco Resort

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (16,864 ft): visit Everest Base Camp (17,651 ft)

Stop At: Everest Base Camp Trail, Khumjung 56000, Nepal
Today is the day you are eagerly waiting for as we shall be heading for the Everest Base Camp. Our trek from Lobuche begins early in the morning after breakfast. We reach Gorak Shep after trekking over the lateral moraines of the Khumbu Glacier past the Italian research center and the rocky paths.

Today you will be rewarded with great views of the world’s tallest mountain, Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mahalangur, Khumbutse, and Nuptse. The euphoric feeling of being at the base camp is inexplicable and being on the lap of the world’s tallest peak is something extraordinary. An option for the evening could be a visit to Kala Patthar. The sunset view from Kala Patthar is comparatively better than the sunrise view, so it is recommended that you visit Kala Patthar today during sunset. Overnight in Gorak Shep.
    Duration: 7 hours

    Meals included:
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
    Accommodation included: Everest Inn

    Stop At: Kala Patthar, Nepal
It is another beautiful trekking day as we trek to Kala Patthar before retracing back to lower altitudes. You shall have the close-up views of the mighty Everest in a straight trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar, literally means the black stone. Reach for the highest point of this black hill and capture as many memories as possible. After spending some quality time in the small brown hill, you will trek down to Gorak Shep for lunch before heading down to Pheriche. Overnight in Pheriche.
    Duration: 8 hours

    Meals included:
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (11, 286 ft)

Traversing through the pine forests, mountain goats, pheasants and other wild animals and birds can be easily spotted. Eventually reaching Sanasa you get to enjoy magnificent views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse. Finally, you will reach Namche Bazaar after walking on winding trails and a brisk walk through a forest. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.
    Duration: 6 hours

    Meals included:
    • Breakfast
    • Lunch
    • Dinner
    Accommodation included: Hotel Namche

Day 12: Namche Bazaar to Lukla (9,318 ft)

Stop At: Lukla, Lukla, Sagarmatha Zone, Eastern Region
Today is our final day of trekking of Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar trek. Retrace your steps to Lukla, an ideal place to relax and celebrate your trip to the base camp. Walking through the banks of Dudh Koshi River and crossing several suspension bridges, passing various Sherpa settlements and few monasteries, you arrive at Lukla. As the local staff will, further on, not be accompanying you to Kathmandu, today is the last day you celebrate your victorious accomplishment together. Overnight in Lukla.

Your trip leader will drop you off at your hotel and you will have the rest of the day at your leisure. You may stroll around in the streets of Thamel, a popular Tourist hub in Kathmandu for some worthy souvenir shopping. You may also visit surrounding popular tourist attractions nearby. Either way, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate your achievement of successfully reaching the Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar in the evening. Overnight in Kathmandu.
    Duration: 30 minutes

    Meals included:
    • Breakfast
    • Dinner
    Accommodation included: Hotel Moonlight

Day 14: Reserve day in Kathmandu

Stop At: Kathmandu Valley, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Today is the reserve day set aside for unseen issues that may defer our trip. Flights from Kathmandu to Lukla and vice versa are sometimes unpredictable. In case of canceled flights, we can use this day. Else, you can utilize your own time visiting popular World Heritage Sites or other famous landmarks in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur or Patan. Overnight in Kathmandu.
    Duration: 1 day 16 hours
