Experience the best of Namibia's natural offerings on a 6-day "Dunes and Wildlife" tour from Windhoek. This multi-day adventure includes multiple game drives in Etosha National Park, as well as a visit to the park's massive Etosha salt pan—a mass breeding ground for flamingos. Interact with locals, seek out shipwrecks along the aptly named Skeleton Coast and marvel at the Namib Desert's sea of sand dunes while snapping dozens of pics. You'll even have an opportunity to track cheetahs alongside a biologist before making your way back to Windhoek.

What to Expect
Day 1: Halali, Etosha National Park  (LD)
Collection from your accommodation is at 7:15am for the pre-departure talk. Arriving at the park gate we game drive through the park takes us to waterholes looking for wildlife before arriving at our lodge just before sunset. We highly recommend spending time at the floodlit waterhole.

Day 2: Taleni Etosha Village (BLD)
Our first game drive today is at sunrise to catch the predators while they are still active before returning to Halali for breakfast. Our second game drive takes us to the impressive Etosha Pan where we can get out of the vehicle and experience this “saline desert” before continuing our game drive to look for the Big 4. We arrive back at Halali where we have lunch before heading off on our final game drive across the park towards Okaukuejo and leaving the park prior to sunset.

Day 3: Hotel a la Mer, Swakopmund (BL)
Our route today takes us into Damaraland. We have the chance to meet the local people before enjoying a light roadside lunch is served en-route in the shadow of Namibia's tallest mountain. On the drive down the Skeleton Coast we explore the remains of a small shipwreck before arriving in Swakopmund mid-afternoon. Dinner tonight is at own expense.

Days 4 & 5: Desert Camp, Sesriem (BLD)
This morning after breakfast we have free time to explore Swakopmmund or joining a 2 hour sand boarding experience. Pick up from Hotel A La Mer is from 10:15am. We drive through the Namib Desert, arriving at our camp late afternoon where we have a chance to relax and enjoy the views before dinner. Dawn departure from camp on Saturday to arrive at the park gate for sunrise. We drive down an ancient river bed and take a 4x4 shuttle into the Sossusvlei area to appreciate the beauty of this place in early morning light. We explore Dead Vlei with its expanse of bleached cracked clay and skeletal camel thorn trees, with a backdrop of huge dunes. En-route to our lodge we will stop at the famous Dune 45 before visiting the nearby Sesriem Canyon. We arrive back at our lodge late afternoon to watch the sunset over this spectacular desert.

Day 6: Windhoek (B)
Early morning breakfast before heading to Solitaire where we join a biologist to track cheetahs at the N/a'ankuse Namib Conservation Center. We return to Windhoek via Rehoboth, arriving mid-afternoon where we will be dropped at our accommodation.

We spent 6 days touring Namibia starting at Etosha in the north and going as far south as Sesriem and Sosussvlei. It is quite fast paced and not for those who wish to sit by the pool all day, maybe only an hour or two....More
