About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- stillwaters20190 contributionsThe irresistible drum beats at BomaThe entrance reception is so amazing, showcasing Zimbabwean culture and dressing, you will get your own shawl to dress their way. Curio shop where you can get gifts or mementos. The Dinner itself was something else, Venison, Chicken, Fish, Pork, Seafood cooked to your perfection, drinks varieties were available, vegetables with different cooking methods . Everyone get a small drum towards the end of dinner. Dancing time approaches, in short we beat the drums until our palms couldn't take it but we could not stop beating them. Noisy and joyful we danced. This place need to be visited againWritten 7 March 2025

- Departure159399697830 contributionsThe Drumshow VicFallsHad a fun, exciting and memorable experience. Food was just okay, the meat was a salty, burnt and hard to chew, potatoes were very hard to eat, but the dessert and salads were okay. The drumshow was worth it! Luckily for me I visited on a very packed eveningWritten 11 January 2025
- Flapjax0 contributionsLovely private sunset river cruise for 17Lovely cruise on the Zambezi River at sunset for 17 of us. We saw loads of hippos. Drinks and food were plenty (unfortunately, we had been hit by a bug when traveling and so many of us were not interested in eating). We did have one issue because someone in our group has a peanut allergy. The tour was booked through a travel agent and while this was communicated, there were still lots of peanuts (they had made a separate plate for the one with the allergy but given we were on the river and not near medical treatment we decided best to just not serve any peanuts at all). The staff were quite accomodating - mostly we felt bad they had prepared the items with nuts to begin with. Lots of hippo sightings. Even with some lightning in the distance and a light rain at times - we had a very enjoyable time! Thanks for a great sunset river cruise.Written 4 January 2025
- ItsATouristTrap0 contributionsWonderful welcome to Victoria FallsThis was the first thing we did while staying in Victoria Falls, also our first night in Zimbabwe. The food was great, the drum performance engaging with audience participation, and the spirt appropriately festive. We felt it was good value for the price, and it does book out, although we were able to make a same day reservation after arrival. They accept credit cards for the main event, the vendors selling various souvenirs at the venue probably only accept cash, mostly USD preferred. Note that prices in Victoria Falls are much higher than in the rest of the country and adjust expectations accordingly.Written 6 December 2024
- 523sallyp0 contributionsGreat guide Muzie to traditional village Victoria FsllsMuzie, Shearwater tours, Victoria Falls, took us on a fascinating, warm, hospital visit to a traditional village outside of Village Falls. On the way he told us about life in the villages and taught me some greetings in the native language. We saw all the village buildings, living rooms, bedrooms, inside and outside cooking huts, livestock, met and talked with the family and children. A highlight was a talk by the village leader who was a traditional healer. In his healing hut, he explained treatments he could do and medicines he used, and when they had to use standard hospitals. We had a family member as guide who talked about daily living, marriage customs, family relationships, how the buildings were constructed, roles of family members, use of livestock (cattle, goats, chicken, pigeons), and the many pet dogs that were used to sound the alarm if any animals approached the fenced but remote village. It was about a 2 hour tour. After, at our request, Muzie took us to a craft market more in town, a good, short stop where I bought some teak bowls as gifts. Bargaining standard there. Muzie was an excellent guide. Informative and attentive to all our needs. Thank you, Muzie, and the people of the Nebedels villageWritten 13 September 2024
- 124anesum0 contributionsUnprofessional and Unreliable: Avoid Southern Dynasty SafarisI booked this activity and received a confirmation email. However, no one showed up for the pickup on the day. When I contacted the tour company, they claimed not to have received my booking, despite me providing proof of emails. After requesting a full refund, they initially only partially refunded me. They eventually agreed to a full refund due to their mistake but still haven't followed through. It's now the end of August, and I only received a partial refund. I've been ignored in my attempts to resolve this issue. Save yourself the trouble and avoid booking with Southern Dynasty Safaris. I suggest arranging a taxi to the Lookout yourself—it's more affordable, and you'll avoid the headache of dealing with their unprofessional and unreliable service.Written 29 August 2024

- kerrybullenb0 contributionsBreathtaking Views.I visited the Lookout Cafe whilst staying in Pioneers Lodge, and the Victoria Falls. All I can say is Wow, what a view. A great menu and the food was delicious, I had the mussels in white wine sauce, served up with bruschetta, mouthwatering, followed with a knickerbocker glory. Totally recommend for both view and delicious food.Written 23 February 2024
- jandaniel990 contributionsAmazing location and excellent serviceWow! Don’t miss this gem in Vic Falls. Food and drinks all very reasonably priced and we had an amazing fillet steak there. The service is of an exceptionally high quality. We visited 3 times and were served by Mordecai, Bongai and James, who were all perfect!Written 31 January 2024
- nwmindra0 contributionsGreat and very reasonably-priced drinks but perhaps the worst food I've ever hadThere's an old maxim that goes along the lines of, you never go for a great meal at a restaurant that has amazing views, and bills itself on its views rather than its food. Of course we were hoping that Lookout Cafe was an exception to this 'rule', but sadly not. Yes the views are amazing, and it's quite entertaining seeing both the bungee jumpers but also the zipliners getting stuck halfway, but the food was bordering on the inedible. I ordered a caesar salad but I had to send it back because the lettuce lives were incredibly bitter and full of grit/sand while my wife ordered a prosciutto ham sandwich which had such chewy meat that it almost jarred her teeth. The only time you should really come here is just before sunset, for drinks, which are extremely reasonably priced and include some excellent local beers, accompanied by cheerful serviceWritten 13 January 2024
