We were lucky there were no queues and not too busy, that was near end of day. It is interesting, but unfurnished, nice architecture, I think we spent about an hour, taking our time and photos. It is 100Mad for foreigners, and located in kasbah, recommend going early or later in day to avoid worst if crowds.

      Overpriced
Beautiful, but Busting with people, small area to be seen (it was still under maintenance) and an exorbitant ticket price.

Bahia Palace - gets very busy very quickly
Worth the visit. Architecture, muqarnas and tiling etc are well worth seeing. AS we were staying nearby, we went there early and there was no queue for tickets although still plenty of fellow tourists, so it was by no means empty but you did have a chance to take photos without people in the shot. However as we were about to leave around 10am we could see the queue for tickets was about 50m long. We had a quick look at the entrance and it was extremely crowded, just full of people.

      Not Blown Away
It wouldn’t have bothered us to have missed this as it certainly didn’t set us alight, not least because it was so packed with people that it was difficult to move, and getting decent photos was a near pointless aim. Go early in the hope of beating the crowds. The architecture, intricate woodwork and mosaic tiling is rather nice, but being unfurnished, and not particularly old (late 19thC), it didn’t much tickle our interest. And nobody royal ever lived in it either! I tried to pre-book online but this only allowed me to buy tickets with a guide, which we didn’t want. You can purchase self guided tickets at the entrance booth, MAD 100 for foreigners, cash only.

      Beautiful palace 🥰
Absolutely beautiful place to visit. Serene and beautiful palace with lots to see and learn. Lots of areas to go into, would definitely recommend the visit.

      Thoroughly Unpleasant
You probably have to go as there isn’t a huge amount to do in Marrakech (unless you like shopping, which I don’t) but please don’t make the mistake we did and go at midday when it’s heaving. We shuffled along in a barely moving crowd of thousands, the marble courtyard was closed, the garden was closed, we would have been finished in 15 minutes if it were possible to walk at normal speed.

Get there before the tour groups!
Whilst the Bahia Palace is full of spectacular marquetry, plasterwork and painted wood, it is blighted by the curse of tour groups who block entrances and pathways, and generally make a nuisance of themselves. Go early, go before they turn up and you will have the opportunity to spend some quiet time in spectacular surroundings. It’s worth visiting, but it isn’t very big so for the best experience, early is the key.

      Great tour! Lovely guide!
The tour was great! Abdel was lovely and gave us lots of information, answering all our questions. It was great to see lots of the sights of Marrakesh whilst also learning more about the history of the city and the culture. He was really helpful when we realised we didn’t have enough cash left and helped us find the best available money exchange place with good rates!

Go if you like tiles (which I do)
This is worth visiting but - with very little information about each room - it all got quite same-y, as we went from one heavily tiled room to the next. Still very impressive, but wasn’t very atmospheric.

      Very busy
We first visited 10 years ago and I think we were the only 2 people in there. What a difference now! MAD 100 entrance fee and it was absolutely jammed packed inside, not a pleasant experience. The gardens were off limits as some work was being done.

      Beautiful glimpse of cultural history
Cultural visit to see beautiful examples of traditional palatial rooms, ceilings, floors and fireplaces. Worth taking time to wonder round and soak up the atmosphere of times gone by.

      Beautiful - but very crowded.
GO EARLY! At 10am it was busy. by 11am it was hell. I really think they need to limit numbers. This would not be fun for anyone uncomfortable in a crowd.

Nice palace but it can get very crowded
My Riad was just right around the corner from the palace. I visited in the late afternoon but it was still a little crowded. The palace was interesting and worth the visit.

Majorelle Garden is amazing and the colours are really impressive. Bahia Palace is a great place to see mosaic and incredible arabesque windows and doors.
Attention: if you follow GPS to get to Bahia Palace you will reach the wrong place. Plus: you will find young people in small motorbikes trying to persuade you to buy things. Locals give you the wrong indications to get to this attraction. Be careful!

We came earlier because it is famous palace and had plenty of time to walk around. It ia an astounding palace that shows the design and craftsmanship of generations past. The Bahia Palace is one of the top visited in Marrakech especialy inside old medina.

We took this tour to the Bahai Palace without a guide. There isn't much to see; nevertheless the marble courtyards, carefully decorated ceilings and gardens are quite impressive. The entrance fee of 70 dirhams is reasonable and you can buy tickets at the ticket office on site. Even on Friday, there weren't too many people.

Nice visit but no more , palace in work since the earthquake last year. Luckily we took a guide to have some explanations otherwise nothing is explained. The visit is short and very crowded, which takes a bit of cachet away from the place.
Allow a maximum of 1 hour to go around if you visit it on your own.

    Beautiful palace
The downside is that there are too many visitors at the same time. It's like being on the subway at rush hour. Very unpleasant because the visit is of poor quality even though the Palace is beautiful.
In addition, it is currently under construction. In the end this visit is disappointing

Marrakech has just taken my heart. It's so rich in culture history and the people are so friendly. Bahia palace was a very pleasant surprise. It looked like just any palace from outside but once inside it was a different experience. Badii palace was also great as was the experience of marjorelle gardens. Overall a very satisfying trip

After 15 days touring Morocco, we found many small towns very interesting, but as far as the larger centers, Marrakech was our favorite. It is clean, has many points of interest and very welcoming! One can hire a city guide OR find your way on the Hop on Hop off bus which 2 routes take you to most key areas. The Medina is doable on your own if you have a good sense of direction, however, a local guide (arrange through your hotel) is very helpful. The tour of the Bahia Palace was great and visiting the Jardin Majorelle was well worth the time waiting in line. Go mid morning as mid-day and afternoons are crowded.
