Private Tour: 2-Night Mount Toubkal Ascent Trek from Marrakech
Experience the beauty of the highest summit in North Africa, Jbel Toubkal, with an altitude of 13,671 ft (4,167m). Get a stunning view over the famous Atlas Mountains, green deep valleys and ancient Berber villages. Meet your local Berber guide and his muleteers to go for the this outdoor adventure. This  trek doesn't involve any climbing, and only during the winter months (November to April) you will be equipped with crampons an ice axe for extra security. The itinerary has been designed for trekking lovers and mountaineers, as the ascent is non-technical, but involves some easy scrambling and snow slopes. The views from the summit are breathtaking, across the mountains to the red city of Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara to the south. All around are the jagged summits of the High Atlas stretching as far as you can see in any direction.
What to Expect
Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil - Azzaden Valley - Tamsoult Refuge
After your transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (5,710 ft/ 1,780m), you will set off on a 6-hour trek out of the Imlil Valley and into the Azzaden Valley. Along the way you will pass Tizi n’Mzik at 8,038ft (2,450m), the refuge at Azib n’Tansoult and the Ighouliden waterfalls. Overnight in the Lipeney mountain refuge at 9,843 ft (3,000m), or before, at Azib n Tamsoult.

Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge - Aguelzim Pass - Toubkal Refuge
Today involves a fairly stiff climb out of the Azzaden Valley to the Toubkal refuge over the Aguelzim mountain pass at 11,975 ft (3,560 m). Lunch will be taken with spectacular views over the Atlas mountain range. Overnight in the Toubkal refuge (Neltner Hut) where you will likely be sharing a bunk room with other trekkers tackling Toubkal early the next morning.

Day 3: Toubkal Refuge - Toubkal summit - Imlil - Marrakech
Up early for the climb up Toubkal (13,671 ft / 4,167 m) from where, clouds allowing, you will have wonderful views over the Atlas range and the Sahara desert. Then a long way back down past the refuge and the well-worn path back to Imlil. This is a fairly long day with 8-9 hours of trekking, involving 2,953 ft (900m) up then almost 8,202 ft (2,500m) back down to Imlil. You will be dropped off at your accommodation in Marrakech around 5pm.
