The yacht was equipped with life jackets and vomit bags. We set off on a whale-watching adventure with our three small children. At first, we moved slowly, but then the captain sped up so much that the kids were screaming in both fear and excitement at the same time. The crew took us from one spot to another, wherever they spotted movement from these magnificent creatures. And finally, we saw a huge whale leap out of the water and dive back in! It was absolutely incredible! I have never felt anything like it! This trip was truly worth it! Huge thanks to the entire team!Written 28 February 2025

Captain Jason, Hailey B., Kyle, Lianna, and Missy were an absolute blast to have as our tour guides. Kyle was extremely knowledgeable about all the fish life that we were snorkeling with and the girls were SO much fun and full of energy. The tour was perfect for all ages and experience levels. My daughter is an adult with special needs and she had an incredible experience and felt safe and secure with the entire crew. The crew work very hard to bring in the sea life and make sure that everyone gets to enjoy seeing something special. Thanks again for making it the highlight of our day. Saw the blow holes spouting water, tails smacking the water and plenty of fins. We were blessed to have whales in front, on the side and in back at the same time. A baby whale breached the water several times in a row. It was spectacular! -more than we ever hoped for. I’m sure it is not like this every trip as no one can truly guarantee if the whales will surface, but these guys knew where we had the best chance to see them. We were lucky to have great weather and to be in the right place at the right time. Thank you so much for an experience of a lifetime!Written 24 February 2025

I wish that the boat crew would have been a bit more interactive. They would answer questions but seemed much happier conversing among themselves. A solid 3 out of 5. Finding the boat for this tour was very easy to find. Just follow the directions and you should have no issues finding the boat. You will need to put on your sunscreen prior to entering the boat if it's a spray because it makes the boat slippery. You will also need to take your shoes off prior to getting into the boat. The boat ride went very smoothly.
When you arrive, there are other tour groups who are in the water observing the turtles. So just be prepared that are quite a few people in the water at a time. This tour is very beginner friendly and great for young children. If you or your children are first time snorkelers then they will let the first group go into the water so that they can give you a quick snorkeling demonstration before you enter the water. Multiple crew members are also in the water with you for your safety. You are required to wear a life jacket while in the water. The snorkel gear and fins are provided for you. Cameras are allowed in the water. It is important to know that the turtles are state and federally protected so keep your distance and respect their home.
I saw so many sea turtles! I want to say half a dozen but there could have been more honestly. Not only that but you see lots and lots of beautiful fish. One of the crew members dived down and brought up a sea urchin for us to hold and touch. It was incredible.
The crew directs the group on where to go and to make sure no one gets stranded. The life jackets are a different color from the other tours so just always make sure to stay with your color. After the snorkeling, they offer you complimentary snacks, drinks and even baggies for those who get a little seasick. There is also a restroom on board the boat.
This was a fantastic experience. The crew members are truly amazing at what they do and I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see some beautiful marine life!

We went as a family of 2 adults, a 13 yo kid, and a 7 yo kid. Crew are organized, very attentive, and made us feel very welcome. All levels of swimmers were welcome. There were so many turtles to see! In addition, there were many colorful reef fish swimming all around us and a pod of dolphins travelled right in the middle of our group, a rare sight. It was the 7 yo’s first time snorkeling in the ocean and he tired out half way and needed to go back to boat. They have a system in place to allow to monitor everyone in the water, with one guide swimming with the group, seeking out wildlife and directing, one guide helping, and a third assisting anyone who tires out or wants to go back to the boat. The ride to get to the reef is 30 min. The trip was fantastic! We went back to do it again the next day. Go early in the morning, place is busy, and there could be a lot of people on different tours.

This tour company excels in providing a wonderful experience at an incredibly competitive price. The crew was not only friendly and welcoming, but also highly skilled. Departing punctually, their instructions were easy to understand, enabling us to swiftly get into the water and fully enjoy Turtle Canyon. Witnessing numerous turtles and fish was a delight, and the two-hour journey back to shore was seamless. I suggest opting for an early slot to avoid overcrowding from other boats and snorkelers.

We had an amazing experience on our tour. We had previously taken the BYOB Sunset Cruise with this company and decided to book the snorkeling tour after such a good experience on the cruise. We were not disappointed with this choice. Although this area is extremely saturated with charter tours, our guide Kyle and other crew members made their best effort to try to keep us separate from the other groups. Overall I would highly recommend taking this tour including those who aren't strong swimmers or confident in the water. There are options for people who want to try snorkeling but may not be comfortable solo. We had an opportunity to see tons of turtles and even a monk seal hanging out on the way back. It's a really great way to appreciate all the wonderful wildlife Hawaii offers while maintaining the respect for their habitat.

This company knows what they're doing. I went with my sister (we're both beginner snorkelers), and they have measures and demonstrations in place to make you feel safe in the water. I really appreciated how they had a guide in the water pointing out where the turtles are and what you're seeing in the reef. We saw about 10-15 turtles and lots of different fish, and my sister said that this is the coolest thing she's ever done. I recommend going at 7am because there are no other boats/snorkelers in the area yet.

We booked this trip for our once in a lifetime honeymoon MONTHS before we arrived. We got a confirmation and everything that had no mention of cancelling for want of whim by the operator. They could see the schedule for so long and only called us at 10pm the NIGHT BEFORE to cancel because no one else booked to be together on the boat. You confirmed our trip months before but because you feel like 4 less than full won’t make you enough money you cancel 12 hours before. They tried to sound like they were doing us a favor by offering a 7:30am ride with others or another day. But MA’AM we planned this trip meticulously months ago. We didn’t have the ability to change our plans at this point. You can’t cancel within 24 hours of them, but they sure can cancel on you for no good reason in the middle of the night before. We got a refund, and months of planning wasted. There’s no Aloha on this island anymore.

I think you have the wrong company. I’m sorry to hear about your cancellation. We don’t have staff at night as our office closes at 5pm so there would be no one to call you at 10pm. We also don’t do trips at 730, and we have not had any cancelations recently other than last months storms. Please consider moving your review to the appropriate tour operator

We saw more than a dozen sea turtles, an eel, and hundreds of fish. The fish came within inches of us. I was less than 15 feet from a sea turtle three separate times when they came to the surface to breathe. Our guide in the water was very informative and worked hard to find interesting things to show us. He saw an eagle ray, but I was at the back of the pack when he had us follow it, so I, unfortunately, missed that. We spent a large portion of our time in the water as the dock to turtle canyon is only about a 10-minute boat ride. The whole crew was amazing. An added bonus was the dolphins that decided to play tag with us on our boat ride back to the dock. The lovely lady driving the boat and her crew made sure all the guests got to see the dolphins and even stopped the boat briefly near them for a better view. They had a ton of safety features like a lifeguard sitting up on a surfboard in the water with our group, a raft to hold onto, and extra crew members to assist the less experienced swimmers. Highly recommend!

Fun crew to go out snorkeling with. I appreciated their heavy emphasis on being respectful of the reef and keeping a safe distance from the turtles. We saw plenty of turtles, and had a great time.
The only downside, is that this tour can easily have 30+ people, crowded together in the water around 1 guide. Be prepared to possibly take a fin to the face! Despite that, you will still have a fantastic time!

Great option if you can't snorkel well or want an inexpensive way to see the turtles. If none of these apply to you, don't book here. They put way too many people on a tour at a time, so you're shoved into a circle. There were so many other tours there and boats that you really couldn't snorkel more than a 20 feet radius. They also are very strict on where you can and can't snorkel, so you are essentially just sitting in the water looking at turtles occasionally passing by. Like I said, if you don't know how to snorkel or if you are on a tight budget it's fine, but definitely try and find a better place if not.

Yes. They specifically ask if you can swim and provide a large mat on the water you can hold onto so you can still see fish and turkeys. They really stay with you. We had 3 non swimmers and they had fun
