Lame Luau
Apr 2021 • Family
This Luau was not what it used to be. Most activities were gone. The show was cut down in length and a lot shorter and the food sucked. It was served in “to go” boxes, which is understandable for Covid era. But I definitely feel it was a “bait and switch.” They pig roasted 1 pig.... but when we got served the food... the pork looked and tasted like Crockpot pork! Food was definitely subpar and not a buffet. You got one box of food and that was it!

No longer worth it
This was my forth time visiting this place. It was the worst experience. Customer service was terrible the activities were all gone or substandard. They are charging the same price for about 1/4 of the activity they used to have. DO NOT WASTE your money until they fully open back up everything with all the activities. When I went in 2015 & 2016 there was so much more to do. Now there is nothing it is a shadow of the former experience for the same cost as before. Just terrible.

Worst waste of money ever
Missed the entire show while waiting to order a drink. Spent 1 hour in line which is behind a building that blocks the stage. Almost missed dinner.
They had 1 bar server serving at least 500 people. Never once stopping at our table.
Cheap plastic chairs and tables.
Drinks were watered down, minimal alcohol.
Mediocre show
Mediocre food
Terrible service
I’m still here.
It’s 7:30PM Friday 4/16/2021. I finally just ordered a Triple shot of Patron. Nothing else has alcohol in it. I watched out the corner of my eye as she poured only 2 shots as she proceeded to charge me for 3 shots. I called her out and she poured another.
THIS PLACE IS A COMPLETE AND UTTER RIP OFF. RIPPING OFF TOURISTS ONE AT A TIME.

Show was great. Food was good but small portions. Service was terrible. We had the standard package and felt that we were the forgotten ones when our tour guide said that he would bring around drinks but we ended up getting our own.

Touristy Attraction
Mar 2021 • Couples
The dancers were great! The dinner was tasty. Otherwise, it seemed disorganized. We sat for a full hour before anything happened other than some background music that was performed live. Then, we were asked to move around to different locations to observe brief demonstrations. This seemed cumbersome since there was a stage right in front of the tables. Once dinner was finally served, the dancers came out. They were fun to watch so that was the highlight. It felt very touristy and the drinks were watery and rather tasteless. This could be improved easily with better organization and having a pre show while you wait for your dinner. It also rained just as the performances started which didn’t help. I will say they were quick to hand out ponchos. Overall, I would say that this was not the trip highlight I expected it to be.

Paradise Cove Luau let down
Mar 2021 • Family
Over the last 15 years we have brought over 30 people to this wonderful Luau. Last night 7 of us attended and what a huge disappointment. We spent close to 1000.00 for a terrible scaled back version of the the normal show, with no activities , less than half the dancers in an abriviated show and boxed meals. Don't buy an 11.00 frozen drink to take to the fake emu ceremony where they don't take the pig out of the ground, because they don't allow you to take the drink and it will be melted when you get back to your table. We understand covid precautions but if this is the best they can do and still charge full price, they should have remained closed and saved their reputation.
We will never go back and will warn others not to waste their precious time in Hawaii or money on this luau.

Terrible Experience
Mar 2021
I join so many others who felt ripped off by this ruse of a luau. It was nothing like it is depicted on their website. For our $300+ for the two of us, we were escorted to our table and told to read and follow the rules that were printed on a paper at the table. They told us no drinking while not at our table. Then we watched like 4 dances over where a "pig" was in the ground and they explained that. From there we were ushered to just in front of the bathrooms where they showed how to hula. After that we were told to go sit down.

Upon sitting we had a cardboard box dropped in front of us and it was the salad. At this time some guys walked by with the "pig" that was supposed to be our food at the buffet later. Ten minutes later they told people the buffet was open. It was not a buffet. They were grabbing pre-plated meals out of warmers.

The food was sub-par and you could tell it had sat in the warmers for a while. We were hungry so we ate the food while watching a very limited scaled-down version of the show with only a few dancers and an MC that sounded very forced on the microphone.

We fully understand the whole covid thing, but if you are going to gut the whole experience you should also scale back the pricing to reflect that or at least make it clear that you will not be getting what is advertised.

STAY AWAY
Feb 2021 • Family
We arrived at 5 and was served our punch immediately before our first rotation to the Emu/Dancing segment. The security made us dump our drinks before walking in. The show was short and mediocre. We then went to watch someone teach u how to tie a Hawaiian “dress” and learn to hula. Total time maybe 10 minutes. This place advertises that they have activities for the little ones such as lei making and tattooing. It didn’t happen. They do not advertise a military rate online but u can get it if u call. Again didn’t say anything about it online. With your dinner there isn’t a drink included so if u don’t drink alcohol, get ready to pay $5 for a generic soda or fruit punch. This place is absolutely terrible!!! STAY AWAY!!!! Food is awful. Show is pretty average/boring. This is unbelievable, really and not in a good way ....I hope Aulani still has some chicken tenders left when we get back. Did I say STAY AWAY?!?!?!

Beware!
Dec 2020
Be aware that they may book your Luau online and be closed! We booked for Christmas day, got dressed up, drove 35 mins to the location and found it to be closed. The woman at the gate said that it was happening to others as well. I try to be understanding during Covid but it seems that other companies were able to shut down the online booking of they weren't open due to Covid. Also, if they were having this problem continuously, they should have be a more responsible business by checking the bookings made online and called the people to inform them that they are closed. They called yesterday to say that I am getting a refund but that doesn't make up for the loss of time and dinner plans on Christmas.
