Do not go with teens. Nate had the information that my kids were older and even had their weights but didn't let us know until 20 minutes before our time on 12-31 that he had a 100lb limitation for passengers on the e bikes when we booked on 12-10. He called us while we were driving from our hotel 50 minutes away . Our only possible way of continuing was for us to leave one of our kids in the car. When I asked him about why he didn't inform us earlier about his passenger weight limit for the e-bikes, not the weight limit for the entire e bikes, he told me to take it up with Viator. Nate was quite rude and unprofessional. Also his phone number on the Trip Advisor site is disconnected. His poor reviews demonstrate this same behavior. Do not rent with Nate.

Four of us rented e-bikes from Nate and had a great experience. We rode from his shop north to the Dragons Teeth trail. We rode the lower road back to his shop. The bikes were reliable and had plenty of power and battery life for our 3 hour adventure. Nate was pleasant and very informative. We would definitely rent e-bikes from him again.

Terrible experience we rented two months in advance of our trip. Our day came and we walked across the street from our hotel only to find a vacant building with their name on it. No one around at all. I called the number on my email reservation and Nate answered. He told me oh we moved three miles away. I said we don’t have a vehicle we walked to the location on my reservations. He replied, to bad, no refunds…. What a total jerk!!! Later when we went to dinner with friends we made at the hotel they drove past the new place. OMG It’s near some type of sewer system that smells Horrible. Also instead of being on a nice golf course to ride, you get to ride in the streets of the sewer area. Yuck! Avoid this place and a Horrible experience.

First time riding an e-bike. Weather is perfect for a bike ride to Kapalua. Lots of instruction and help to make the trip easy.

If you are a serious rider this may not be the company for you. I rented a e-touring bike with the thought, like last years rental from them, to be able to do the 60 west Maui loop again. Sadly the bike was not up to it. In addition to not being able to attach my own SPD pedals , the battery power diminished significantly after the 50% mark. I made it 24 miles, 2,800 ft but the last few miles were not easy on this 50 lbs POS. This said, I was still glad to get 6 days out on this great scenery again

We met a few challenges along the way, but the customer service was exceptional. I would definitely attempt the experience again.

Booked a day with my father and brothers in law. 7 in total. Called ahead 2 days before to verify the details. Showed up and he only had 6 bikes. So my father in law decided to follow behind us in the car. Then 4 of the 6 bikes had serious issues. One wouldn’t shift gears. One had the brakes go out completely. One died because the battery overheated halfway through the day. And one had the rear brake fail (spinning brake rotor). Nate Graham did not show up for us to return the bikes, he just told us to lock them up together. That was the last we have heard from him after asking for a partial refund on the bikes we couldn’t really use. Poorly run business and rude staff!

I didn’t know if we were in the right place because it looked a little sketchy but it was great! The bikes worked good and we had fun but we couldn’t go to many places because his bikes battery drained wayyyy faster than mine, it might be because he’s heavier but it was draining really fast unlike mine so who knows but the ride was smooth and it was really nice and wasn’t tiring, honestly, my butt does hurt though from the seats, they are not the most comfortable.

Rented electric bikes for first time and was a little nervous at first taking them out on the main road with fast traffic at first but actually there were wide shoulders and designated bike lanes to get to Kapalua. Once there it was a great ride through Kapalua with time for a nice lunch. Bikes were great and a lot of fun.

The Operator/Attendant was a no show. I booked a 2hour session for my family of 3 on 5/25 at 10:30am and no one was at the location at 2530 Kekaa Dr. Lahaina. We waited 15min, called 3 times and texted twice - no response. Pictures attached to prove we were there. My daughter has Autism and LOVES to ride bikes - she was upset all day because she was so excited to ride an eBike. Shame on RideSmart!! You cannot count on them.

I can’t write a review of the company because nobody showed up to give us the electric bikes we reserved at a specific time on a specific day. We left phone messages, we left text messages, and no one returned our messages and it has been over two days since the reservation. Use this business at your own risk! There is no way that I could recommend it since no one was there to help.

rented a non electric and it was so great i went back and rented it again. nate was friendly, easy going, and helpful. gave me a nice map and pointed out the places to see. he even rode out to bring the bike lock to me because i forgot to take it. convenient location, walking distance from the resorts. will totally rent again.

We wanted to try out electric bikes and we found this place. It's a great location and we were able to rent them for the next day. We enjoyed the ride itself and was given a map to check out a few places. I would highly recommend renting from this place!

Nate was easy and wonderful to work with - scheduling was easy and all of our many questions were answered quickly. Based on the e-bike/snorkel tour we picked, we were given maps and hints on where to stop for lunch and the best snorkeling beaches along our route. Would highly recommend renting from this small but great business.

Thanks to our new friends at Ridesmart. Very convenient to Kaanapali and good equipment. Great instruction and directions gave us a ride up HWY 30 to the entrance to the old closed Kapalua upper golf course where there are miles of old paved cart paths complete with the distance markers to the greens that were crisscrossed by numerous dirt mountain bike paths. We even found an old golf ball grave yard. It was like riding through Jurassic Park and we would not have been surprised had a velociraptor jumped out and chased us along the way. Returned on the lower road through the town near the beach which was beautiful. Logged 26 miles along the way and would do it again in a minute. 5 stars from our point of view. Thanks to Nate for all the help. Great for all ages.
