        Best Hāna Tour Ever
We had an amazing day with Kimo (Jimmy) as our guide. We did so many amazing things during the tour. I’ll try to remember them all! At the onset we paused in Paia to pick up lunch and were introduced to a ginger shot for energy and to avoid car sickness. Totally did the trick! We stopped for wonderful hot from the oven banana bread. We saw waterfalls and paused for an exhilarating “swim”! Kimo knew all of the locals and got us premium service at each stop. He gave us a guitar serenade for our anniversary! We ate lunch in Hāna at the black sand beach. And on our return trip we stopped for ice cream (delicious) and made a stop to see a large group of turtles sunning themselves on a beach! It was a wonderful day! Thanks Kimo! #besthanatourever #808connects

AMAZING private tour of The Road to Hana
Marc was our botanist guide and he made our trip to Hana a most amazing experience. Three of the four of us had been to Hana before yet today we experienced the area to the fullest thanks to Marc. He was a wealth of information about the history, plant and animal life of Hawaii. Our lively conversations in the car as Marc expertly drove us through the windy, narrow road were educational and interesting. The small, quaint roadside stops made the trip tropically authentic. We loved all the waterfalls, beaches, blow holes, lava tube, hikes and turtles. It was an incredible day! Marc even stopped at a grocery store at the end of the day for us to pick up some items we needed. Thanks, Marc! If you are looking for the best, book Paramount Tours and request Marc.

        Wonderful Memories!
My husband & I took the private Road to Hana tour with Marc from Paramount. We clicked with him from the start. He was an exceptional tour guide. I appreciated that he knew so much history of the area, the vegetation that grew there and the particulars of the different ecosystems that we went through. We stayed within the alloted time and I never felt rushed at all. Maui is beautiful and it helps to know a little about what I'm looking at. Thank you Marc!

Only way to go to Hana!
Our driver/tour guide was Jason. He is a Maui native and a talking encyclopedia of facts, from the history of the Hawaiian people to the environment. We learned much language and cultural ways. He was a safe driver too and returned to bring back forgotten items in his SUV. Everyone in our family ages 9-72 enjoyed this trip.

Lee was awesome!! 10/10. My only feedback is an escalade is featured on the ad but it's a Ford expedition that picks you up so felt a little disappointed by that but otherwise tour was good.

        Awesome experience!
Our driver was Lee and he could not have made this a better experience. Private is the way to go, we got to see the hot spots but also pick other stops that catered to our liking. Such a fun experience, thanks Lee for making family lifetime memories!!

        Fantastic experience with Lee..Highly recommend!
Paramount Tours and specifically, their driver Lee, gave us an unforgettable experience on the Road to Hana. We took the more private tour with a large family including small kids. Lee made sure we were well fed, had a very humorous delivery, and ensured that we saw every major point on the Road to Hana. Most importantly, He really took time to ensure our safety and comfort. The Road itself has 617 hairpin turns and 58 one way bridges; he handled them like a champion, he went slow to make sure were all comfortable, and none of our party got motion sickness and was very happy with the ride itself. The suburban we went in was comfortable for our family. The tour itself lasts from anywhere from 8-10 hours, depending how many stops you make and how long you stay at each stop. The lunch they arranged was very very good and was a to-go lunch that he picked up in the morning that we enjoyed at Black Sands Beach. They do make a stop at Starbucks for breakfast if this is what you need. I would re-recommend Lee and Paramount Tours to anyone that I know, in a heartbeat. Congratulations to this fantastic tour company.

While the views along the Road to Hana are breathtaking, we were very disappointed in our guide and other aspects of the tour. From the start, we were unable to hear clearly what Richard was saying. We asked if he would use the speaker system, and he said he could not put anything in his ears, so we asked if he would speak more loudly. He did not. It was very hot and stuffy in the back of the van, so we asked if the air conditioner could be turned on, and when that did not provide any relief, we asked if it could be turned up. No change. Others in the middle of the van commented that they too were uncomfortably warm. Richard said there was a different system for the driver. That must have been true because he was wearing a sweatshirt. When you sign up for the tour, you are told that you will have a choice of panini sandwiches, chips, and a chocolate chip cookie. Our sandwiches were subs/hoagies with no chips or cookie. Water only became available when we asked for it. Lastly, the website states that this will be a “guided tour with commentary.” Our advice to others is that if you would like to learn about Hawaiian history and culture, choose another tour operator. If you want to hear about Richard’s love of surfing or about his girlfriend in Florida, this is the trip for you. Roger and Diana H.

Really enjoyed this tour. You get to stop at several beautiful locations throughout the day. The driver, Jorge was knowledgeable and provided great information/history of the island and the Road to Hana. My only complaint is that we had to sit in the very back of the van, there are windows on both sides, however these seats don't allow individuals in these seats to have the full view. Our van also had a very young child on board which caused some uncomfortable times during the trip.

Lunch provided was "ok", not sure there is much one can do about this.

This is almost an all-day event, you can get into the water at a couple of stops, so having a towel is also handy.

I would recommend going on a tour like this if it is your first time in Maui, we had a rental car and drove it on our own later in our stay after seeing/learning what the tour guide shared with us.

Richard was a great tour guide, from the time he picked up until he dropped us off he was engaging, knowledgeable, funny, helpful and was the difference between a good day and a great day. I highly recommend Paramount tours and Richard and will do so with my friends and family. A great experience

After an initial hiccup (thinking we were to be picked up at 8:30AM instead of 6:30AM and missing the tour), Paramount was generous enough to reschedule us for the next day at no charge. Given a second chance, Richard picked us up promptly at the Westin in Ka'anapali, and with the other couple bowing out, we had an exclusive guided tour--what other company would do that? Richard is a pistol, incredibly knowledgeable, and a sensation seeker. If you ask him, he can easily be coaxed to demonstrate jumping off a waterfall and the bunny formation at the Black Sand Beach. He has a tremendous respect for the land and the natives/locals. A very beautiful and inspiring excursion.

Our first road trip to Hana was an amazing overall experience, one that we will never forget. Richard’s top notch driving skills, sense of humour, energetic personality as well as his knowledge of the area and culture are second to none! He certainly leads by example when it comes to adventure and will show you all the best spots on this tour. Richard will also answer any question you may have, even the ridiculous ones. We highly recommend this tour for anyone considering the road to Hana - don’t rent a Jeep and drive it yourself because you will miss out big time! Mahalo! :)

Was an amazing experience despite being a particularly windy and rainy day. The van is comfortable and prompt pickup at the hotels. Richard was an amazing guide, driver, entertainer, photographer and made up for some of the closed favs with his enguinity (tip - don’t go on a major holiday like we did if you want the full experience and book late because you can check into weather forecast)

This is perfect for those who only want to spend part of your day on the Road to Hana. It is not a complete tour up to Pipiwai trail. This trip was from 7am pickup, and included a 1.5hr skilled drive into/out of the Road to Hana, slow downs for photos of a few waterfalls, rainbow eucalyptus trees, swim by the Pua'a Ka'a waterfall, Hana Farms stop, and about 1.5hr at the Waiʻānapanapa State Park (black sand/rock beach with lava tube and hike option), and a return trip's stop at Coconut Glen's and roadside BBQ. We returned around 3pm. Shoutout to our awesome guide Richard for leading the van! I know we would not have had as fun a time without him driving and providing stories. Surprisingly, the hyped up banana bread here was not that great- not moist or flavorful and $8 at time of this writing. If you are thinking of doing Road to Hana as a first time visitor, I'd recommend this tour company. The roads here are winding and intense! And there are very few bathrooms here so get comfortable with nature.

This tour was definitely a highlight of our trip. Richard was an incredible guide who knows the sights and people of the road to Hana like the back of his hand. He tailored the tour to what our group wanted and went above and beyond to make sure we all had a great time. Richard showed us what it truly means to live aloha. Highly recommend!!!
PS I would highly recommend taking some non-drowsy Dramamine beforehand!!

I am going to begin by saying that Richard was the best tour guide ever. He was very entertaining and conversative during the trip, his driving was very smooth and he was very patient. When i started getting motion sickness during the trip, he pulled over so i could get some fresh air and get my stomach to settle. He advised me to sit on the front passenger seat for the remainder of the trip and that this would help with my motion sickenss. IT SURE HELPED!!!

The road to Hana definitely exceeded my expectations. We were 2 groups of 6 and 4. We made stops at Pua'ka Ka'a Falls, Rainbow Eucalyptus for a quick group photo, The Black Sand beach (Wainapenape) , chocolate farm, Turtle Beach (Ho'okipa), Hulihuli chicken for some delicious Barbque, made a stop for some dairy free coconut ice-cream, and another stop for some fresh coconut water and some fresh fruits. The nature and the views along the way were so breath taking. This was just what I needed for my vacation in Maui. This was definitely the highlight of my trip.

****If you are looking for an amazing Tour Guide, I highly recommend Richard. He is the most amazing Tour guide with an exceptional personality.*****

My husband, grandson, and myself were never picked up by the tour bus/shuttle for the tour. We were never contacted the night before, as the instructions stated would happen. We waited at 6:00am in the shuttle pick-up area until 7:20am. After leaving a voice mail message at 6:55 am with all the booking and confirmation numbers, they never called. I tried calling several more times only to receive an automated message stating mail box is full, then disconnecting the call. Very angry and dissatisfied.
