We enjoyed two great dives with Frank. The Mala Pier twilight dive was incredible, so much sea life: thousands of fish, the turtle cleaning station was active with several turtles being cleaned at once, spotted a few eels as well as a pregnant shark. The night dive at Black Rock really was magical with the whales' singing, octopus, crabs, and plenty of colorful nudibranchs. Thank you Frank and Extended Horizons! My kids and I did a shore dive with our instructor, Michael. He was fabulous. He was timely, professional, knowledgeable, and fun. He gave the kids pointers on dive techniques, and showed us a tremendous array of sea-life that we would have missed on our own. My son's fin also broke during our dive and Michael calmly MacGyver'd it back together so we could safely finish our dive and didn't have to abort. We wished we had been able to schedule a night dive with him as well, but our schedule didn't allow for it. Definitely next time!

This is such a great experience! The dive instructor Michael was fantastic guide, he was very friendly and knew a lot about the wildlife. Overall, it was a fun activity to do with family and a amazing company to dive with!

In case you didn't know, both Maui and Extended Horizons are OPEN! Come see the underwater world on the west side of the island! We met our guide, Michael, for a shore dive at Kahekili Beach Park. I'd never done a shore dive through surf before, but Michael explained how to enter and exit very clearly. He also made sure I had the correct weighting, which if you are a diver, you know can be tricky to estimate. He led us parallel to the beach, up and back, for 50 minutes at a max depth of 30 feet. We saw a turtle resting in a turtle hut and a plethora of fish living just beyond the surf line. Michael brought all of our gear and made sure we had a great dive.

We did a shore dive with Extended Horizons to get reacquainted with scuba after a 5 year break and to experience Mala Pier and the awesome sea life. Since we were staying at Lahaina and there are still no dive boats in the area post 2023 fires, this was a great option to do a dive close to our hotel (the dive boats are operating out of the harbors 45-60 mins from Lahaina) and just have a few hours of adventure at a reasonable hour vs getting up at 4:30am to drive a long way away and dive for a half day. Our dive master Michael was relaxed and made the experience very enjoyable. We saw over 20 turtles, squid and just missed some sharks when a group of snorkelers jumped in. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend Extended Horizons - very easy to work with and they provided all the equipment we needed in great quality and condition. Given the devastation of the 2023 fires to so many businesses (this one included), we were very happy to support these guys getting up and running again and recommend them to anyone staying in Lahaina.

We did 4 shore dives with Extended Horizons including taking a reactivate scuba course. Really enjoyed diving with them and having the more personal experience of a small group vs seeing other larger groups of divers with other companies. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing refresher dive with Extended Horizons. My husband hadn’t dove in 5 years so was super nervous. Michael put his fears to rest with his calm demeanor and helpful tips and instruction. Definitely recommend!

My brother and I had a great time diving from shore with Rick. We saw a lot of corals and fish, and Rick did a good job on showing us all the finds during the dive, and also writing down the names of what we saw. We only went the three of us, so we felt very safe and taken care of. Mahalo Rick and Eric. Definitely recommend this venue for diving adventures on Maui.

It was beyond magnificent, like something from the Discovery Chsnnel. The ocean depths are an entirely different experience at night. Gabi from extended did a superb job with the knowledge of the marine environment, and made sure we were safe and comfortable from start to finish. She made safety a top issue while not making the dive team feel constrained. I highly recommend Extended Horizons for any of your diving requirements.

It was a fun and a great time. Excellent visabity . It has been a long time since I was diving. It was great refresher. Franny was awesome.

Extended Horizon is still one of the best dive outfits I've worked with. Even with the loss of their boat and shop in the wildfires they provided an excellent first experience for my son. Please support them however you can after their devastating loss.

Extended Horizons staff were awesome to work with! Victoria was flexible and helpful in getting us scheduled and accommodating our group’s different needs. Our guide Gabi was super knowledgeable, patient, and a great instructor to the two in our party doing a Discover Dive. We had an awesome dive with her and appreciated how she pointed out wildlife. So glad Extended Horizons is operating again after losing so much in the fire. 🌴❤️🌈🐠

My son and I did a dive with Gabi from extended horizons. He has been diving about a year 6 open water dives previously. She made him feel very comfortable, was professional, friendly, and informative. Basically everything that I value in a dive master. Everything went perfectly as planned. Extended Horizons picked a great site, with perfect visibility, and clearly communicated everything in advance. She taught us many things about the endemic species we saw. We were excited to hear whale songs throughout the dive.

Gorgeous dive sites, and the small group size made it easy to see what our knowledgable guides showed us. We not only saw an amazing breadth of sea creatures, but we could also observe and learn about their behavior, such as watching a Jack fish and an eel work together to snag a meal. I've been to some of the Lanai sites more than once, and I've had a spectacular dive every time.

Extended Horizons never fails to impress and continues to be one of our favorite dive companies on Maui. We saw a ton of unique creatures on our twilight & night dive at mala ramp. Our dive instructor, Mica, was also extremely knowledgeable, understanding, and humorous. We will definitely be returning to Extended Horizons the next time we are on the island!
