Overview

Watch the sunrise atop the 10,000-foot (3,050-meter) summit of Mount Haleakala, Maui’s highest dormant volcano, without worrying about transportation or breakfast. Travel the winding roads through the clouds via comfortable vehicle accompanied by a guide to see the colorful sunrise. The up to 8-hour excursion includes entrance fees, continental breakfast, and roundtrip transportation from Maui hotels.

What to Expect

Your Haleakala Maui sunrise tour begins in the middle of the night when a minibus arrives to pick you up at your Maui hotel. Along the scenic, climbing drive to the summit you pass Kula District and Puu Ulaula Overlook. Ascend the 10,000-foot (3,050-meter) summit of Mount Haleakala, a dormant volcano.

At the top, get off your minibus and take your place on Maui’s highest peak as daylight illuminates the horizon and lights the landscape below. Watch as the sunlight streaks the sky with vibrant colours until the sun sits high above the horizon. A continental breakfast is included in the experience.

Then, board the minibus and return to your Maui hotel.

I am extremely unhappy with this company. My first experience with them doing their Road to Hana tour was a bad impression when I was told my pick up point was a 10 minute drive away, so spent money on a taxi and then the...More

Both the top of Mount Haleakala and our tour guide shared something in common--both were incredibly windy!! Seriously, I enjoyed the trip even with it being very cold and windy at the top. Worth the early start, and I'm glad to have a professional driver...More

Yes, you would need to get a permit well in advance. We checked for permits about 3 months in advance and they were all sold out bc they offer a very small number for cars. We are pretty advanced travelers and my husband is... More
