- balintawakbrian00Exhilarating experience! This was an exhilarating experience, and what better way to try out zip lining than in Hawaii?!? Our guides spent two hours taking us on a series of seven zip lines, ranging from short and relatively simple (no scenery) for training, up to zip lines that were a half mile long and took us a couple hundred feet over gorges with waterfalls at high speeds. Our guides were knowledgeable as well as comical and made the experience fun and entertaining, even during the down periods of waiting your turn to go. Would highly recommend this activity for families, just make sure everyone is a good hundred pounds or more and weight. One tip for everyone... Most of the zip lines are out in the open and you're totally exposed to the hot and intense Hawaiian Sun, so be sure to wear sunscreen!
- T2190VQsharont00Great zip line tour! There are some amazing scenic views from this tour. We had a great time! The crew is wonderful- funny, friendly and had some fun jokes and stories to entertain.
- karenjF4052ES00Exhilarating adventure!Exhilarating! Our 17 year old son was a bit skeptical and came back saying it was the best tour ever. Guides were fun, scenery was amazing.
- annemM1467ZN00A way to Zipline and really experience HawaiiWe had such a wonderful experience on this Zipline tour! The guides, Josh and David were so fun and informative about Hawaii. We loVed Zipline over waterfalls!!! Both waterfalls were gorgeous and there was foliage everywhere, water provided and apple bananas right off the stalk. We did some walking which was all part of the wonderful experience! We highly recommend it!
- claywerts00DisappointingGo somewhere else. They say they have 7 lines, they really only have 5 lines. The first 2 lines are 10 yards long. It was very disappointing. Cost to much for two little.
- sch3gm00Reservation error and allowed to cancelExcellent company. We didn't actually go on the Hawaii Zipline tour on the Big Island. I made an advanced reservation but only realized the night beforehand that I had made a mistake. Our cruise ship was on a different island (Kauai) that day. I called and asked for an exception to allow cancellation on the same day, and it was approved some time later. We wound up getting the zipline tour the same company offered on Kauai (Shaka Zipline tour). The tour was wonderful, and I'd believe would be equally good by Hawaii Zipline.
- beverlyhF4747SM00I would do it again.I love the way the lines build in length and height so that you trust the equipment enough and have full confidence in the process to thoroughly enjoy the spectacular views in the last few runs.
- T549AWtimothyh00Thrilling AdventureKind, funny and professional staff. We got to relax into the thrill because Riley and Byron were so good at their jobs.
- K6989ABthomasb00Experience the West Coast of the Big IslandThomas shared his botanical and historical knowledge of the area as we walked along the zipline course. All the while, the beautiful Pacific Ocean dominated the vista. This was a surprising and satisfying medium level hike that we would recommend to anyone who likes to experience Hawaiian life outdoors.
- 636carolyng00Great ExperienceHawaii Zipline Tours Honomu - Kids had a great time. Amazing experience, said that the guides were very professional and fun. Highly recommended. Thank you
- raffertys202200Amazing tour!Great zipline activity with the family!! Kids Said it was their favorite part of our trip. Beautiful views and great hides!! Shout out to Britain and CJ!!
- kalynaanne00Memorable experience!Definitely a must do if your in the area or close by! Check in was easy. They will get all your gear sorted and provide you a fanypack for your small items. Make sure you have closed toed shoes! They have clean washrooms to use before you head out. A van then comes to pick you up and take you up on a bumpy road to your first zip. The first one really is just to get you comfortable, a baby zip if you will. The next few are fun but the final 2-3 are where you really get to enjoy feel of wind in your hair while gliding over Hawaii's beautiful landscape and 2 waterfalls! Run or walk off the platform, both are fun. Don't forget to relax and take the view in! There are short easy walks between each platform. Our guides also talked about the local landscape, as it's on a farm, we had the opportunity to try freshly picked bananas! I'm terrible with names guides but I believe it was Vince, Callum & our driver - fantastic crew! 10/10 recommend as a fun activity with stunning views!
- Alisa T00Zip lining on the big islandThe staff is great. The waterfalls are amazing, and the gorge is awesome. It's a long drive from Kona, but it's a beautiful drive.
- N4891IVbenp00Would do it AGAIN!Aug. 2021 - A bit pricy...but well worth the "thrill & views...awesome". The zipline team was amazing with safety & knowledge. Would do it Again.
- Stefanus M00A fun zip lining experience through waterfall with stunning viewsWe had a really fun zip-lining experience, going through waterfall with very beautiful backdrop. The guides are very friendly and helpful. They really knew the surrounding very well. We got a nice tour of the ranch where the zip line platform was built. The owner even came along to share some interesting plants and to help with the zip line process.

As you can imagine, keeping a 15-year-old engaged with his parents on a family vacation isn't always the easiest task. But after our son requested scheduling a Zipline activity, I was thrilled to find Skyline listed online and in several island magazines. They did not disappoint at all. Our two gentleman guides on the afternoon of 1/3/20 were the best leaders I've ever had on a zipline experience (and we've done a handful as a familly). Not only did they take great care of the whole group, but they offered insightful advice on other island activities and restaurants, so they influenced several more great stops on our vacation. And I haven't even mentioned the views and scenery. Breathtaking. Best zipline we've done as voted on by our teenager (and his parents also)! It's pricey, but worth it.

We booked this tour immediately after doing a zip line tour on Oahu because we fell in love with zip lining and figured zip lining over a waterfall would be awesome! It seemed a bit expensive ($397.69) for two of us but we figured what the heck it’s a once in a lifetime trip. The staff at check in were friendly and our guides did a good job. The zip lines themselves were underwhelming aside from the final zip line over the big waterfall. The first one honestly seemed like a joke. You will spend a lot of time walking and waiting for others as there is only one line at each stop. On the other tour we did we were taught different positions to zip for speed, getting upside down and other tricks, not so on this one. For the nearly $200/per person some photos of the experience on the zip lines not just at the waterfall at the end would’ve been greatly appreciated, it’s not an option. Once again, our guides were good. It is however frustrating that I assume they are not paid well and at the end of the tour they pushed hard for tips, it seems the large fee goes into owners pockets rather than paying staff well. I’m not against tipping, I am however for paying staff a high enough wage when charging about 200/pp for a two hour activity that the staff doesn’t need to beg for a tip further increasing the already expensive cost. On the whole it’s fine if it’s your very first zip line and your afraid of heights, the staff are very pleasant but clearly are not paid enough which is very disappointing given the high cost.

Aloha,
Thank you for leaving this review.
Our Zipline courses ranges from easy to thrilling and we cater to all experience levels - one of the Ziplines goes over our private 250ft Kolekole waterfall - how cool is that!
Our zipline tour is actually one of the least expensive on the island, as we try to keep our costs down as much as possible for our customers. After being closed for 14 months due to the pandemic, it was important for us to have a price that is very competitive, but also is able to cover our high operation costs.
I can see why you might assume our staff does not get paid well because they are allowed one tasteful tip line at the end of their tour, which is also industry standard, but your assumption is incorrect. Our guides get paid a highly competitive rate compared to other companies on Hawaii Island and taking care of our staff is one of our top priorities.
We hope you have a lovely remainder of your holiday and that you visit us on your next adventure to Hawaii!

Me and my wife decided to try Zipline for the first time in our lives. Our experience was actually relaxing more than adrenalizing. They put safety as a top priority and do all of the braking for you. Landings all felt gentle and safe. The shop provided Fanny packs and all the gear. We only purchased straps for our sunglasses which was only $5 each and glad they have these available. Our guides Monique and David were very pleasant and friendly making the experience great. We did 7 segments starting from a super easy short run like an orientation and building up on each segment becoming longer. The grand finally was super amazing over the largest water falls and in view of the ocean.
The small town where the shop is located has a shop named Hana Hou that sells some tasty treats like ice cream bars, chocolates, and very uniquely in-house made beef jerky that’s super thin and “crisp” in several varieties made by owner Natasha.

Loads of fun! I thanked my 12 year old son for recommending this experience. I really enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the tour and the very engaging guides, Austin, Josh, Byron and Vince. They were very capable, keeping us safe and also very entertaining and informative about all things Hawaii. The zipline structures were recently updated and well made. I enjoyed the Hawaiian cultural lessons along the way. The best part, of course, was blowing in the wind and looking onto a lush landscape including waterfalls. Absolutely stunning!

Each zip line was a thrilling adventure. They start you off slowly to help build your confidence until you get to the final line over the waterfall to experience a spectacular view!! Dave and Jake are fantastic at their job! They were knowledgeable, experienced and fun. The whole family had a great time and would definitely recommend it!

Our guides managed to be informative, funny and gave a feeling of safety all at once. My two sons thought the guides were very funny (sorry I don’t remember names but one of the guides was from Iowa and the other was relatively new and from Colorado originally), my husband and I found them well informed about the area (plants, climate etc) and they managed to keep everything professional and safe while still being fun.
I was very nervous but they never made me feel silly for that.
This tour is beautiful…as scared as I was I had my eyes open for every zipline and it was gorgeous. I even saw a rainbow in the last waterfall. Highly recommend!!!

The Zip Line Tour was a lot of fun! The guides were super funny and helpful. We felt save The whole time. There were üeople in the Group who were scared of the zip lining. The guides were very sensitive with them so that even they enjoyed it!
The seven zip linea include one Training zip. The last two zip lines were actuall, a lot of fun and pretty cool! The ones inbetween were ok but if you are expecting a 2.5hour adrenaline kick Tour you are looking at the wrong Spot. That's why we were a little disappointed and felt like it's overpriced.

This was our first time zip lining - this company along with our guides Monique and Byron, made the experience one of the highlights of our visit to the Big Island. We really liked how each zip line section progressively got longer and more spectacular. By the time you got to the 7th zip, you felt like a pro and the view of the waterfall was amazing. Monique and Byron did a great job providing instructions and tips, and entertained us with their unique zip lining poses. We would highly recommend this company to anyone interested in zip lining.

For inexperienced zipliners this is the trip for you. First couple of segments ease into the best technique for riding the wire post to post. Makes it more fun as you progress the longer runs over the Falls. They supply rain coats, so leave yours at home. Hip packs as well.

An amazing Zipline experience! Vince and Monique were very fun and knowledgeable guides. The ziplining was very organized and safe. The tour took us through a lush privately owned farm with various tropical crops to view and learn about. The last few lines are long, above rivers and waterfalls with breathtaking views. Highly recommended!

Hi, we would like to book a zip line tour for the first week of January. Can I book this yet? Also, we are a family of eight. Is this a private tour just with the 8 of us?
Thanks!

We stayed in Kona as well. We used a rental car for the trip to Big Island Zipline. I don't know if there's any public transportation option, but probably not since they're pretty remote. Perhaps give them a call for options--they were super friendly and eager to help!

Aloha! How much hiking is involved and is it easy? I'm interested in this but my mom can't hike a long ways. Also, she's healed from any back injuries she's had, but would this bring them on again? Mahalo!
