About the operator
- herrbross00A great week of diving with TGI RoatanThe guides and master divers are very good and professional. The only reason I removed a star is because their boats are in need of loving care a lot. The need to have a good mechanic and invest in their boats. Apart from that which caused me to miss the night dive I had paid in advance, this is a good dive shop for boat diving.
- GentileCla00Great location, operation and staffI have been diving with them more than once. The staff was very helpfull. Everything was excellent. I had Rafa as instructor and he gave the opportunity to learn a lot.
- judyquant12300Terrible experience. Rude instructors and disrespectful owner, RickoIn English/en francaise - friends came to visit from Canada so I suggested they book some dives with transat and dive with TGI. What a mistake. The instructors kept trying to sell one of my friends dive courses. During one boat trip, my friend was pushed to buy an advanced course by three different instructors. They would not take no for an answer and they would not leave her alone. This happened for four consecutive days. My friend ended up really frustrated and felt very uncomfortable the whole time. When my friend was in the store, waiting to pay, the owner, Ricco, (tall, fat, grey-haired guy in the office) was making filthy comments about my friend’s body, in Italian. This Ricco guy obviously did not know that my friend speaks fluent Italian as well as French. Ricco was speaking to the dive master, Andrea, and they were both laughing and joking about what they would do to my friend in bed! Truly disgusting. My friend got out of the shop as soon as she could. She felt embarrassed and degraded. On one dive, during the boat trip, Takesmi, the Spanish instructor, instead of helping my friend set her computer, he snatched the computer out of her hand, set the computer and literally threw the computer at her and walked away. He also swore all the time, in English, using the “f” word. He seemed to think it was cool to swear constantly. All in all what could have been a lovely dive trip turned into a stressful nightmare. None of us will dive with TGI again
- Jules42100Dove with TGI March 25-April 1st, 2019TGI operate a first class diving operation. The boats are large, accommodating 20+ divers with ease. They handled our BCDs, tanks and weights, loading them onto the boat prior to our arrival, helped with getting suited up and took care of the equipment after our dives ensuring everything was rinsed in fresh water and stored ready for our next dive. Landey, Rosie and Major made all our dives interesting and informative.
- MikeD228700Diving with TGI last week of March 2019. Very organized with excellent service. Highly recommend.Did 13 dives the last week of March 2019. TGI was very organized and provided excellent service. Highly recommend. Lindy and Rosie were the DM's that took us to the best dive sites around West Bay / West End. Fantastic experience.
- Gary L00Chaotic & ImpersonalI booked four dives with this group, one of which (a shark dive) was actually with Roatan Marine Life. Two dives and two ‘equipment’ bookings were done online and paid in advance for a 10% discount. I was disappointed overall with TGI mainly because of confusion over prices, restrictions and, generally, their impersonal approach. For example, I booked a wreck dive but was only told on the boat that since I was open-water certified, I could not dive to ‘this wreck’ but found out later that a shallower wreck was offered later in the week. On the substitute reef dive, our dive master never showed up on our line entry and three of us followed another DM. Also, I was not told that GoPros were not permitted on the shark dive, even though one diver supposedly shooting ‘content’ was permitted to bring his. The USD$40 video offered was OK but low-resolution and difficult to edit as a ‘VOB’ file. Equipment was in good order but be aware that the equipment rental is per tank, and therefore you pay twice for a 2-tank dive. The other DMs were all competent but you are basically ‘dumped’ at the shore and there is no opportunity for any post-dive briefing/camaraderie. Not exactly the world-class experience I was expecting. I would suggest a smaller operator with more personal attention.
- TRU_2_U_1100UnforgettableI've never dived before but based on everything I've heard about diving on Roatan, this was where I wanted to do it. Being that my husband can not dive, I didn't want to spend a lot of time diving, but had to do it just once and I wanted a photographer to capture it and take photos, not of me but of what I saw. There was a bit of confusion, as I was the only one going, but they re-arranged a few things and made it work for me. So there I go on my first dive with my instructor Sonja & photographer Gustavo. It was unforgettable. Sonja showed me so many things that I could have never imagined. And Gustavo was right there photographing it all. We did a night snorkel, we were told that it was a definite must. And luckily it was the only cloudy night out of our entire trip, we were told the view is much better if it's cloudy, because its darker. We weren't quite sure why but soon found out and it was so true. It was a bit of an eerie feeling being in the water in complete darkness & only being able to see where your flashlight is pointing. Unfortunately, the majority of our group were French speaking, so the tour guide spoke mostly French and we feel we missed out on some of it. We got out to a certain spot and heard the guide say something in French, then they all shut off their flashlights. So we just went with the flow. Looking in the water and we were in awe.... it was like millions of stars or fireflies underwater and because it was a cloudy night, they shined so much more. It was absolutely an unimaginable sight. Not sure if it was a definite must as we were told, but glad we got to see it.
- DrWolfi00Fantastic Team in RoatanFantastic Dive Guides - very polite and helpfull - very professionel - had funny 14 Dives wit Sidemount Muchos Gracias
- murlocker00Roatan west bay TGI diving & Deep PhotosMost amazing trip and dives ever. The staff were professional, safe and courteous If you get a chance to dive with lindy do it and let Gustavo from deep photos to capture the moment. We even dove with an oceanic white tip shark. The pics are amazing. The reef is in amazing condition including tones of sea life. Sooooo many turtles and four sea horse. It was memorable!!!! Thank you tgi and your staff. You are top notch
- Christine A00Night Time SnorkelDaniel took a group of five of us out for a note time snorkel. Some of us were experienced, some semi-experinced, some with no experience at all. It was a thrilling adventure! He led us through the coral canals and pointed out things we may miss like octopus, squid and lobster. We even swam with the bioluminescence, which was a first for me! Highly recommend and thank you Daniel!
- 8DMMD800Awesome Diving CenterVery nice diving center with super good staff!! We enjoyed some beautiful dives and our guide and the staff from the boat made us completely happy :) highly recommended
- Bolpark00Excellent service and very professionalWe had our 15 year old get he's certificate with the TGI crew, and everything from the service to their commitment to quality and professionalism was outstanding. We are grateful we chose TGI.
- Marise S00Growing a fishtail....The best three weeks underwater ever! The marine life was breathtaking as were the sponge and coral formations. New and fascinating discoveries with each dive. I must say that the best by far was the the fantastic crew at TGI! The knowledge, assistance and advice provided by super dive master LINDEY is priceless. Thank you JEANNOT for suggesting the Nitrox course, very advantageous! A shout out to terrific SONIA who is ever helpful with any questions or concerns.(she makes killer crepes!) CLARA and QUENTIN are great assets to the center, fast friends , lots of laughter! ANDREA holds down the fort and assures the coordination . I must also thank the backstage crew who work tirelessly to provide all that is needed onboard. VINCENT our boat captain never let us down. Thank you GUSTAVO the photog for the spectacular shots. Unforgettable experiences with all of you! Miss you already!
- gregandkim00Excellent, professional, knowledgeable, friendlyI can't say enough good things about this center. All you have to do is go once. You will meet divers who only travel to TGI Roatan. My first trip was in April, 2014 my second in April, 2017 and I am planning another trip this summer. My mother and sister traveled with me this year. My mother is a retired instructor and she had nothing but great things to say about the staff and the dive sites. My sister completed her open water and then advanced with Andrea, Sonia and Jeanott. She loved her entire experience at TGI, was diving again a month later in Belize, and will be back at TGI Roatan this week. The reef is in great shape, lots of fish. To say Dive Master Lindey knows the sites, is an understatement. He's the best. Captain Vincent helps everyone get comfortable on the boat, which is in great shape and equipped with all the safety features you expect. Andrea runs the operation and his passion for diving is seen in all the staff He has things well organized, all the way from checking into the dive center after you arrive to checking out at the end of your vacation and paying your bill. There is value for your vacation dollars. NITROX IS FREE!!! If you aren't nitrox certified- do the specialty, its the most popular one. Don't forget about the shark dive on Saturday. Incredible experience, not expensive, about a 15 minute bus ride from TGI, one of the TGI staff members is with your group making sure you love the excursion. Night life in West Bay and West End is really cool and safe. Just about everyone I've met was a diver.(Pack light, forget the slacks and jeans. Cargo shorts, t-shirts, a couple light dress shirts, sandals- which you'll end up carrying. You'll likely bump into the staff on the beach at night and get to know them better. Water Taxi to West End is about about 5 minutes and you absolutely don't want to miss it. I loved Beacher's in West Bay, great live music- about a one minute walk from TGI. In West End I went to Sundowner's- awesome. Dinner on the beach is very reasonable (about US $20 a person) and everything is fresh. I ate snapper and sea bass almost every night. (Or, if you're already staying at Henry Morgan, you likely have an all inclusive package and the foods good.) Oh, the snorkeling on West Bay is incredible too. About a 5-10 minute walk down the beach. All the same fish and corals you see out diving, protected and in great shape. Enjoy. Bet you'll go back again. We flew out of Toronto which was a very easy, direct flight. Direct flights from Toronto end at the end of April. My mom and sis are taking the train to Montreal this time to catch a direct flight.
- Stacey D00great team , well organize diving shopgreat team , well organize diving shop, night dive is a must to do , free nitrox, equipement handle by the crew you just have to board the boat !

I was recently at the Henry Morgan from Nov 15-22, 2014 and I cannot say enough about the fantastic instructors and staff at TGI Diving. Lindy, Ellie, and Andrea are all seasoned and fantastic instructors that put the safety of their students and their divers first and make the whole process of booking dives, and the diving itself, an easy and enjoyable experience. During my time there, there were 3 scheduled dives per day at 8:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 2:30 AM and the team made it easy to sign up for dives on the fly, or change around your dive schedule according to how you felt without any pressure. The staff was also incredible at adapting to the various skill levels of people on each dive, organizing more seasoned divers together, and newer ones into smaller groups to provide more attention. I completed my Advanced Open Water Course here, but it barely felt like like any work, because each site was so spectacular that it felt like each dive were were doing was perfectly helping to fulfill a requirement of the course (i.e. a beautiful wreck dive, an unforgettable night dive, stunning deep dive along a coral wall with incredible sea life). On top of that, all 3 of the instructors were multi-lingual, easily switching between multiple languages according the group and always with a positive, warm attitude. I would dive again with these folks in a heart beat and hope I get the opportunity to return to dive again in Roatan. Thanks again, Ellie, Lindy, and Andrea!

We traveled to Roatan Memorial Day 2018 and had a magical week with TGI Henry Morgan. I got my Nitrox certification, and my best friend got her Open Water Certification with Jeannot who is an incredible instructor, and dive master. He was attentive, and always made us feel informed and safe. The boat is clean, friendly, and everyone on staff is helpful and from some amazing part of the world. We rented all of our gear and it was in great shape! We did 10 dives in 5 days, it was stupidly affordable and I am already wishing we were back in the 85 degree water! Cant wait to see everyone at TGI again!

I had the chance to stay at the Henry Morgan resort, back in April 2017, where i was introduced to scuba diving. The entire TGI Diving team is absolutely amazing and friendly. I strongly suggest you take the Open Diver course with them, since they are very thorough with the class material.
I can barely wait to see them again next year!

I did my open water referral and it was a good experience. Because my referral in my home country was some months before, they offered me a 'refresher course' as part of my referral, without extra costs. That was really nice because I could practice all skills one more in the pool. The following 2 days I had the referral twice in the morning. I was really lucky because apparently, it was a quiet week for the dive shop, so I had private lessons with David. In that way, David could really focus on what skills needed more practice and which didn't. I saw a lot of turtles and it was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend TGI Roatan for good quality.

Amazing experience and service from the team at TGI Diving.
We arrived knowing our family wanted to plan a snorkelling trip and went to the dive shop to get the info. There we met Sonia who was personable, friendly and shared a great deal of information, also that our oldest son was of age to try diving.
This was a personal goal of mine so the idea of doing it with my son was motivation enough to sign up.
Sonia informed us about a free in pool experience which was a safe and fun way for our son to see if he was interested, of course he was hooked!
The TGI team signed us up for the next day for the course and we had the great privilege to work with Jeannot, he was patient, approachable, informed, professional and amazing with my son. Jeannot also lead our 2 dive experiences and was amazing. As a father I was totally confident and comfortable that Jeannot would take good care of my son while we were in the water, which allowed me to enjoy my own experience knowing he was safe.
The TGI team provided us with a tablet to review our material and logged us into our accounts and reviewed the process of what we needed to study and how we would complete our tests. I felt they went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience
We had such an amazing experience on the course, we signed up my wife (a diver already) to go out for dive with our newly certified son. They had and amazing dive with the TGI Team. The provided all the equipment, bins to store your own stuff, and the boat is right off the beach from the resort!
Gustavo was their in house photographer, who took amazing pictures of our dives and the sea life that we saw. I had my own go pro, but was blown away by the quality of his pictures and that he was able to capture ones of my wife with our son. We felt the price for quality pictures of our son on his first dive were well worth it. Gustavo was so personable and accommodating and his photos speak for themselves.
I cannot say enough about the team at TGI, there were several dive shops within walking distance, but TGI was clearly the busiest, due to their great service!

We were in Roatan between February 22 and March 8, 2014 for our third vacation in Roatan. We return because the island has a certain vibe that is so different than other places in the Caribbean, the beaches are beautiful, and most importantly, because we dive. Roatan's reefs are amazing, and the diving is easy.
We have used TGI Divers Roatan at Henry Morgan Resort each time we've vacationed in Roatan, but we've only stayed at the resort once. There are so many dive shops in Roatan, and we're sure they all likely have their following, but we keep returning to TGI because we like how their operation runs.
Before arriving in Roatan, we had been e-mailing the TGI shop to enquire about taking our PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. Vania had been very prompt in her e-mail responses, providing very clear and helpful information.
Upon returning this year (we hadn't been there for 2 years), we were pleased to see some familiar faces on the dive team. Two of the dive masters (Joan and Carolina) had been there two years ago when we last visited, and Lindy recognized us as soon as he saw us. Always nice to be welcomed by people who deal with so many others, yet still remember you.
We both signed up for the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course and were capably instructed by Michael and Joan for different dive components. Both instructors had to deal with three different languages (English, French, and Italian . . . none of them their own native language) to instruct the students that were enrolled with us. Amazing to watch the instructors switch back and forth between languages, and convey technical diving-specific information so easily. We wish we could be that fluent.
Needless to say, the dives were always awesome. The conditions were amazing. One dive on the El Aguila wreck, the visibility was nearly 100 feet (I could see the outline of the ship when we were looking down from the surface). Most dives were carried out on the dive boat captained by Jimmy. He has also been with TGI at the Henry Morgan for many years. He was always fun to talk to, and made each boat trip a great experience.
In summary, from front of shop, to back, to the instructors and gear, the TG Divers Roatan at Henry Morgan remains our favourite dive shop that we've used throughout the Caribbean. We hope to return in future years, and see some of the familiar faces again.

We have been to TGI Roatan 3 times for a total of 5 weeks and about 60 dives. The quality of the training is superlative, on top of a great team of instructors you may have 2, I mean 2, Instructor Trainers available. Pretty hard to find around the world.
The excursions are beautiful, well organized and often different to each other, even when diving into the same site. High level of professionalism when boarding, briefing, tank switch and landing. Recommended for beginners to dive masters. Thank you team!

He is old enough to do it on his own, but you may want to take it yourself.
