    Must do
Every child’s dream comes true here. Expensive but worth it. It’s open 8am to midnight and a lot of rides after the fireworks have short or no wait lines for rides. The Star Wars rides were outstanding

Fabulous Time - But Also Some Disappointments
Visited on New Year's Eve so expected both parks to be busy - which they were. We had a fabulous time but were disappointed and rather surprised at the number of rides that just stopped working, either while we were waiting in the queue, or in a couple of cases, while we were actually on the rides. Even the train stopped at a station and everyone was just told to get off and walk. In all cases, no information was given as to what was wrong with the ride and if/when it would re-start. Not what we would have expected from Disneyland - and was disappointing given the huge cost of the tickets at that time of the year (especially for those of us from countries where the exchange rate is terrible). Also was really disappointing to find out that, despite paying extra for lightning passes, we had to pay even more to use them for certain rides - which we really couldn't afford to do as a family of four. Would have been good to have had this highlighted when we purchased the passes.

Still a Magical place but seems to need some TLC
As part of our 50th birthday tour we spent 2 days in Disneyland. We had been previously before Galaxy's Edge was opened. This was the reason for our return visit and also to enjoy some of the rides we loved the first time around. Galaxy's Edge was amazing and my Daughter and I did the Savi Lightsaber building which was an awesome experience. The only downside was the amount of breakdowns on the rides, it got to the point where we made a joke about it and blamed each other as the unlucky ones who caused it. Pretty much everything we went on broke down, by the end of the two days it was pretty funny. Only disappointing one was the Rise of the Resistance, which we managed to get to with a minimum wait time. Got to board the transport and then made it into the imperial landing bay before the ride died. Was given a pass to get back onto the ride but unfortunately it wasn't back up and running before we left. With the outlay you need to go to Disney, especially when you dollar is crap, it is a shame that so manner of the rides breakdown on a regular basis.

We went there at 5am so we could avoid traffic and it kind of worked, most of the rides are more baby friendly in the park rather than the adventure. I would recommend getting lighting pass and if your going with kids that like more exciting rides i would recommend the adventure park.

    Excellent time with kids
This is our first visit in 11 years. Went as a family of 4. There are two parks here, DisneyLand and California Adventure. We prefer Disney as it has the Star Wars area and so many great rides. The food options are decent. Things are pricey but overall its a very well run park.

    Beware of scam
I was sold for dated tickets to disneyland not possible to use in the dates marked. I’m in the awful process of requesting a refund, but have not got an answer yet. They sell you tickets for use when the park is not granting any more access due to high occupancy. So, guess what happened… no park, but paid tickets. Ohh, almost forgot, also expired tickets now!!

Not on to the level of Disneyland Paris
I've been visiting Disneyland Park for countless years since I was a kid. This last visit in December has shown that this park is basically just for nostalgia and not for actual value. I had the privilege of being a pass member at Disneyland Paris when I lived in France two years ago so I got to know that park very well. Returning to the original felt like it was a shell and mini version of the other Disney parks. Everything feels so tiny a put right next to each other creating many bottle necks. I felt like cattle traversing the park and even began to feel claustrophobic. Some of the attractions are great such as the two new Star Wars rides, Indiana Jones, and Space Mountain but the rest were lame/inferior versions of what could be found at the Paris resort. The nail in the coffin was the very generic fireworks show. I was expecting some projections and singing by characters on the castle. It was literally just music playing and fireworks in the sky. I felt this show could've been any fireworks show put on the 4th of July. $500 for two tickets plus the lightning lane multi-passes for one park, not to mention the $35 parking made this not worth it at all. I don't understand how people still hype this place, it truly is a ripoff.

Cool place to hangout with your grandchildren when you are over 50. It was fun amazingly. Yep few fumbles are always lying there, but you gotta go, as long as the children love it.

It’s Disney like we have control
It’s unlikely that anyone from the organization will read this, but here are a few real points to consider. Allow extra time for bag screening. There seems to be an issue with their system, as the process runs smoothly in the morning but can take up to 30 minutes after 4 PM. Despite fewer people in line, security seems to be slower, possibly due to newer staff or overzealous screening. Rude staff The Disney app’s character listings are often outdated. It’s frustrating to see characters listed on the app, only to find out they’re not available that day. Cast members are then instructed to make up corny excuses to maintain the illusion, which feels deceptive. Expect long lines at food and restaurants, and be prepared for high prices. As with most theme parks, the food is overpriced, and unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined. Cast member interactions have changed. I’m not sure if it’s due to the current climate or a sense of entitlement, but many cast members no longer seem as charming as they once were. They can come off as more demanding and pushy compared to previous visits.

    Solo Disneylandia Holiday Extravaganza
If you've wondered about going to Disneyland resort solo and if it's fun/worth it, the answer is yes! Cast members are so amazing, meeting people from all over the world rules, and going at your own pace is tons of fun. I love checking out all of the design details which are endlessly amazing. The Fireworks for holiday are extra special. The touches added for the holidays are over the top beautiful. I'm a sucker for sparkly lights!

    Disneyland is worth it!
Disneyland was great. So many unique experiences and some of the attractions, they go all out for Christmas. You may think some of the rides are the same attraction as they share the same name but most are very different. I will say if you're coming expecting to wear your magic band don't bother. It's far less convenient then it is in Disneyworld. Staff in general while really nice were lnt acknowledging you or welcoming you like they do on Disney World. Food choices while expensive were quite the variety and service was quick. Star Wars Galaxy's edge is much better for the character meets as they are strolling around all the time same with just regular characters.

    The Iconic Disneyland Park
We loved the park, it is iconic being the original park and knowing Walt Disney walked around here, you have to love the history along Main Street, looking at all the names of Disney legends on the upper shop windows. We had five day park hopper tickets for both parks and as we were visiting from the UK and hadn't been for nineteen years this was a special trip for us, we also had photo-pass as part of our ticket and we purchased magic bands which made it so easy to scan for photo's and rides. Because we had five days, we could stroll around and take our time and we didn't have to rush from one thing to another. We enjoyed trying different snacks and treats and enjoyed looking round the shops. It was Halloween time so the park was decorated for Halloween and we managed to have photo's taken with Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween costumes. The Disneyland Castle is charming, and the park has a special atmosphere. The only negative was the crowds which we expected, but in Adventureland especially, it felt so crowded it was uncomfortable and we tended to avoid this area especially at night. We loved that the park was open so late, and we could go back to our hotel and come back easily if we needed to. The area of the park that was so amazing was Galaxy's Edge, just walking into the area is indescribable, the details in the land are spot on, and you are immersed in the Star Wars story and experience. The Storm Troopers patrol the land and we saw Chewbacca and R2D2 and the Mandolorian, roaming around. The other highlights were being in the park in the evening after dusk, riding Haunted Mansion dressed for Halloween and other iconic rides, meeting characters, and trying great snacks and food. We hope we will be able to come back and we would love to do a trip in December to see the parks dressed for the Christmas Holidays.

Disneyland at Christmas Time is the Best
Disneyland during the Holidays (mid November-early January) is the best. It's so beautiful and lit up and full of holiday cheer. Great food, characters, rides, vibes. We love it. It's important to learn all about Lightening Lanes in advance and to get there 1 hour before the Park opens so you are in the best position to get on all the major rides early. We do that every time and we never have problems with long lines. Love the holiday parade and fireworks and world of color show. Love eating at Bengal Barbecue and Docking Bay 7 and baked potato at Troubadour Tavern - and the popcorn and churro toffee are something we always get - and churros too. We love nigh time lights on Disneyland Main Street and New Orleans Square and at Cars Land in California Adventure.

Genie+ is worth it. I passed last time as we were a family of nine and I didn't want to drop another $300 for the day. This time it was just the wife and myself, we ordered the genie+ and rode all the good rides with a longest wait of 15 minutes. Using the Disney app for the park we were able to snag a reservation for the blue bayou restaurant. And within the app there are genie+ photo filters that are extra fun.

The place is just too crowded.

Disneyland continues to deteriorate while raising ticket prices. One ride is under construction and three major rides (pirates of the Caribbean, Matterhorn and rise of the resistance) stopped due to malfunction….some after waiting inline for more than 45 minutes. Firework was cancelled due to wind conditions. Even though they have less rides available they still admit and sell pricey tickets to large number of visitors causing excessive waiting times. . This visit wins the worst time in Disneyland over more than 40 years of coming to this park. I hope Disneyland management can stop this deterioration and restore the good old smooth, pleasant and efficient environment.

Disneyland is broken. We waited in line on numerous occasions and then they announce the ride is broken. We got physically stuck on the Star Wars ride and they had to evacuate us. They give you a lightning pass to compensate but how does that help when it’s the end of the day and everything is shutting down. You pay money for a genie pass but times are never available until like 3-4 hours after you wanna book it. It’s a horrible experience. And California Adventure is no better. We waited in line for the River Ride and then it broke too. We decided to wait it out and eventually it started again. But then someone decided to jump off the raft and they had to shut it down with us at the top of the mountain in the ride. We had to be evacuated yet again off another ride. Worst Disney experience I ever had and makes me think twice about coming here again. So much much and so disappointing.

This is a classic park with something for everyone to enjoy. Chances are, it is going to be crowded. Their Geanie+ service lets you reserve an express lane entrance to rides and is convenient to use, but there is a learning curve. The park is divided into different areas. Star Wars is sort of in two different areas, with the newer one, Galaxy's Edge, devoted to the new movies. Not all rides are for all ages of kids. This trip, I really enjoyed the food.

Overall, my visit to Disneyland in April 2024 was poor. I hadn't been in ten years and decided to finally go. I was disappointed from the get go. When we arrived at 11am on a Sunday, it was a 30 minute wait in the car just to pay for parking. That was unbelievable and I had to use the bathroom since the water I drank couldn't wait any longer. They need to do something about that, but they won't or they would've by now. If people have any kind of annual pass or magic key, then Disneyland should have a separate entrance for those people. Very disorganized.

Luckily, going through security was quick and entering the actual park. By the time we were entering the park it was already an hour after we arrived at the parking structure. Seriously?

Inside the park, it was already crowded. Rides were an hour wait on average like Space Mountain, Rise of the Resistance, Matterhorn, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Train, Peter Pan, Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones.

Alice in Wonderland said 20 minutes, but then they were letting all of these fast pass genie whatever people in. Normally that's fine, but they were doing it for a half hour. So the wait ended up being an hour. Ridiculous. Plus the Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain were closed for most of 2024 to do a refurbishment and make theme changes to Splash Mountain that no one asked for.

One obnoxious guy nearly knocked me over to race to get in line for the Pirate's of the Caribbean. That line was short, so not sure why that arrogant person was rushing. There was no one in front of him. An obnoxious woman cut us off nearly knocking me over to get into the line for King Arthur's Carousel. Neither of those people had the decency to at least say, "Sorry about that". Or "Excuse me." It's just a ride, calm down. Then another obnoxious man ran into me and pushed me aside with his body, which as you know is assault. Disneyland did nothing as they don't care.

The Disney experience is nothing like it used to be in the 1980's and 1990's. I realize it started to go downhill once they built California Adventure as that's when the out of control crowds started growing each year. It's also why I hadn't been in ten years after 2014. I just had enough of that. Don't know why I thought it would've changed by then, but no it's actually worse. There are no days that have low crowds. They need to stop selling annual passes and discounted tickets as that's not necessary anymore. It's too crowded for that. If they cut those out, the crowds will drop dramatically.

I'm willing to pay more if I know the park isn't crowded. I used to have annual passes too. Throughout the 1990's when I had a pass, no one had them, it was unusual to have it. And the park was always empty, magical and enjoyable. That's no longer the case. What makes the park not magical are the horrible people that go there now. Just rude low quality people. And I know I'm not alone. Just read some of the other reviews complaining about the same thing. It's not a safe place to go to anymore. If you love overpriced tickets to stand in long hour wait times and wall to wall people all over the park that there is no place to clear you mind, then this place is for you.
