About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- ChrisM8023377930 contributionsGreat Personal Tour of the CoastMathieu was our personal tour guide, just my husband and I. He was absolutely amazing, so personable, and extremely knowledgeable about Waiheke Island. We stopped off at various beaches with the most stunning views. Picked us up at our chosen place on Waiheke and dropped us back off at the Ferry Terminal. The tour was in a comfortable electric vehicle and would highly recommend it.Written 7 February 2025
- GeneralShamu0 contributionsExcellent Private Tour with BabyWe visited the island on a Friday in early December and booked a private tour with Kiwi Connect. This was the 1.5 hour driving tour to go around parts of the island to see some nice view points, with drop-off in Oneroa. Our guide, Jojo, was excellent and very informative. For those uninterested in the vineyard scene, this tour (and company) is a no brainer. This tour company is also great logistically, to make your life easier on the back-end or downstream end of planning any vacation. I.e. readily available and in touch via WhatsApp and intently focused on accommodating two adults traveling with an infant. This became even more important when we were blindsided with car sickness in rear facing car seats when we were driving around the Northland prior to this. *Could not recommend them enough for families with young children.*Written 4 January 2025
- RRC3170 contributionsGuide went above and beyond to show us the hidden gems of the islandSusan went above and beyond to ensure we did not miss the hidden gems of the island. The weather was sunny, and we were able to fully enjoy the island's charm. I also appreciate Graeme’s quick responses, especially when I encountered misinformation about the tour on TripAdvisor (I thought we would be picked up from our hotel in Auckland). Without his prompt help, we might not have booked the ferry tickets.Written 12 October 2024
- Guide339577780830 contributions10/10 Would Recommend! This tour was absolutely phenomenal! My friend and I met our tour guide very easily at our pick up location and got to see so much of the island during our tour! Our guide also provided us with a lot of information about the wildlife of Waiheke Island and gave us some really good recommendations for the rest of our time in New Zealand. 10/10 would recommend!Written 9 August 2024
- InHouseCounsel0 contributionsWorth the time to see more of WaihekeWe had a great experience all around on the Far End of Waiheke Scenic Wine tour. We wanted a tour that showed us more of the island, and this tour did just that. The wineries and views were great, and our guide was friendly and full of local information. Very happy that we selected this tour out of all the choices.Written 1 April 2024
- Q3585SMelizabethj0 contributionsA great girl's trip!We went to three different wineries, the views were beautiful, and our tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. Would 100% take this tour again!Written 29 February 2024
- Bambi T0 contributionsPerfect first evening! It was the perfect adventure for the day we landed in Auckland. Susan was wonderful, took us to great wineries and then to a fabulous restaurant for dinner. We were all tired from a long travel day and this was just the perfect excursion.Written 19 February 2024
- tonylU5673MF0 contributionsBeautiful Waiheke IslandWe had the most amazing day with Graeme on Waiheke Island on the Far End Tour. The tour started with a visit to the Stony Batter Tunnels. What a fantastic experience. If you’re visiting the Island, do not miss the opportunity to take in this amazing bit of history. Then it wine tasting and lunch at Man O’ War. Another must with breathtaking views wherever you sit. This was followed by tastings at the Gin distillery and Mudbrick winery. Absolutely amazing scenery at these venues as well. Thank you Graeme for a wonderful experience.Written 16 February 2024
- lindacH1811XP0 contributionsAmazing winery and island tour!My husband and I spent the day on Waiheke Island on January 17, 2024. The best part of the day was the 4 hours we spent with Graham (sp) from Kiwi Connect. He was so informative about the island, the wineries, and New Zealand. He took us to some beautiful lookouts as well as the Postage Stamp, Batch, and Mudbrick wineries. At the end of the tour he dropped us off in town with some great recommendations for food and drink. If we return to NZ we will visit Waiheke Island and tour more vineyards with Kiwi Connect.Written 24 January 2024
- jessicarC1937XI0 contributionsGreat tour and very helpful!A really lovely day with Susan! Due to last minute illness and schedule change, I reached out to Kiwi Connect on a Thursday evening to see if anything could be arranged for Saturday morning - they were very accomodating, gave good advice and took into consideration a family member's mobility issues. We got to see a little bit off the beaten path of Waiheke and was so nice to have the tastings and food sorted for us on such short notice. Electric van was also great as well!Written 12 January 2024
- 321jamm0 contributionsUnforgettable Sunset Tour on Waiheke IslandFrom the moment we embarked on Waiheke Island, it was clear we were in for a treat. The tour guide from Kiwi Connect, Susan, a perfect blend of knowledge and charm, welcomed us warmly. She was considerably adjusting for our request! The tour itself was a delightful journey through the picturesque landscapes of Waiheke. Our guide was not only well-informed but also had a keen sense of humor, making the historical and cultural insights all the more engaging. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the breathtaking sunset view. The guide knew the perfect spot, away from the crowds, offering a serene and almost magical vista of the sun dipping below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues. What made this tour stand out was the attention to detail. Susan ensured everyone was comfortable, frequently checking in and answering questions with enthusiasm. The pace was relaxed, allowing us to truly soak in the beauty of the island and the moment. As the tour concluded, we left with not just spectacular photos, but also with a deeper appreciation of Waiheke Island's charm. This tour is a must-do in NZ!Written 15 December 2023
- Funsies0 contributionsGreat TourI would highly recommend this tour. We had 2 great wineries, and then a gorgeous dinner at an amazing restaurant. I liked how we had an itinerary but were still able to move it around slightly. Very flexible.Written 4 December 2023
- katespace770 contributionsWonderful tour!Graeme was an absolutely wonderful tour guide! We unfortunately missed the earlier ferry and he was so accommodating for us. We saw some really beautiful areas of the island and he brought us to see the roosters, which my 8-year-old absolutely loved. This is a great way to spend an evening!Written 5 August 2023
- S T0 contributionsConvenient, nice sites, but depends on your guideFirst, they meet you at the ferry, which is very nice, but no where in the confirmation does it say look for the Kiwi Connect Taxi and tour sign. After a bit of wandering we were able to work it out. The electric van was clean, quiet and comfortable. We were driven to some beautiful beaches which we would not have found on our own. The guide didn't offer much background or information on the island. She was friendly and nice, but couldn't answer our questions about the infra structure of the island, how things worked, the economy and native and imported plants and animals. We were glad we took the tour, but it could use some improvement.Written 4 August 2023
- Whitney l0 contributionsPerfect way to spend an afternoon.Graeme was an incredible guide. We took the wine tour the day we arrived in Auckland and Graeme could NOT have been a better intro to this great country. The tour was beautiful and he was a thoughtful guide. He talked to us the whole time and made adjustments along the way that he thought we would like to see. Graeme was very knowledgeable about the island and took us to some neat little treasures. The three wineries we visited had their own unique bit of special. I could not more highly recommend this company and Graeme!!Written 19 June 2023

Absolutely incredible day with Kiwi Connect on Waiheke Island! From start to finish, the experience was flawless. The wineries we visited were top-notch, offering some spectacular wines, paired with spectacular views that took my breath away. Our guide, JoJo, was the true highlight—extremely knowledgeable about both the island and the wineries we explored. His passion and insight added so much depth to the tour. I can’t recommend Kiwi Connect enough for anyone visiting Auckland. If you’re looking for a fun, informative, and unforgettable wine-tasting experience, this is it! Five stars all the way!

Our private guided tour with Susan was excellent. The personal touch gives a feel of the island and the wine tasting is first class. Thanks for a fun day.
